So 4th of July here at Toney“s Mountain was a blast to say the least! Name it, swimming, 4-wheeling, camping, playing on a 27-hole disc golf which is now thee most intense in the Pacific Northwest, along with grilling and listening to some great bands! Can’t explain the experience enough, you just have to go there yourself. The family-owned resort is most hospitable and go out of there way to help you enjoy your stay!

This is a frisbee golf course about an hour from Tahoe, and it’s fantastic! Located in the middle of nowhere at the end of a few miles of dirt road, you’ll find this beautiful course carved out on a high hill. The Toneys built the whole 18 hole course up themselves in the last few years on their property, and the whole thing is irrigated with well water pumped by solar power. Most of the course is flat, while there are about four«bowl holes» that take you down and out of a valley, including one with a 250 ft. drop. Fortunately there’s not too much brush, so you’ll probably be able to find your disc when it goes astray. Camping here was great too. The plots are spread out, and it’s not crowded. You can rent one of their spacious teepees for $ 30, and swim in their kind of icky yet refreshing pool with the frogs and water skippers. The Toneys were great hosts, and went golfing with us.
