Water Heaters Only

My experience with this company was miserable. they missed appointment times, lied about why they missed them and then argued about it. the call was through my warranty company which covers water heaters but I was charged $ 175 for «adjustments». this was a simple way for them to make up the additional money since they give warranty companies discounts. the technician even agreed and explained to me how they will adjust the «adjustment» charges based on what they find, ei. elderly people. I would never recommend these people, there office staff is rude and down right mean.

BEWARE.
I purchased a water heater from a company called Just Water Heaters, Inc., and they in turn, without notification to me, their customer, sold the business to this outfit, Water Heaters Only, Inc. Get it?
The water heater that I purchased from Water Heaters, Inc had a LIFETIME warranty, so when the water heater started leaking from the bottom, I called the EXACT SAME NUMBER that had been provided by Just Water Heaters to call for any repairs.
The call was answered by a Matt and then by a Paul from Water Heaters Only who informed me that the Lifetime Warranty I had purchased from Just Water Heaters was no good because they went out of business. I inquired as to why I had reached the new company at the OLD number. I was informed that it was because Just Water Heaters had sold everything to Water Heaters Only, including their telephone number. When I inquired as to whether the purchase would have included coverage for my Lifetime Warranty contract, both said no and that I had no recourse.
Isn’t it really interesting that the Water Heaters Only company purchase included the same exact telephone number BUT NOT the previous company’s obligations?
Maybe that’s true and maybe it’s not. The message as to this particular outfit is, BEWARE.

The gas valve on my water heater was leaking gas and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, switching out the box with the valve caused a leak in the water heater. I live in Sunnyvale and called the 800 number for WHO, Inc. on a Tuesday night at 7 pm and they said they had someone available on Wednesday at noon. Being the impatient person that I am, I said I would call around and see if I could get someone sooner. Before I hung up, the operator asked a couple of questions and said I would be looking at $ 1100 to $ 1200. We have the original heater and it would need to be brought up to code.
I called Water Heater Professionals and they said they could have someone out that night between 8 to 10 pm and they charged $ 759 for a 40 gallon water heater and installation. Just after 10 pm, I called for the ETA, but the one person they had available would not be able to come out until after 1 am due to a unforseen bad pipe and then it would be too late for their employee to come out. After reading Unilocal reviews on this company, I decided to skip them.
I called and got the voicemail for Better Water Heaters and sent them an email. (Just fyi — they left me a message that morning at 7:30 am, but I already scheduled WHO for that morning).
I called WHO back and they said they can send someone out between 9 am to 12 pm. At 10 am, Alex called and said he was on his way. Alex arrived just before 10:30 am, he looked at my heater, said it was xx for the heater, and xx to bring it up to code, total for everything, removing, making the stand, insulation, straps, etc… was $ 1192. and it would take him about 2 to 2 ½ hours.
By 12:30 pm, Alex was driving away. The new water heater was installed, sitting on a rough wood stand, straps, pipes all replaced, insulated, and the Instruction manual taped to the water heater. It’s a 40 gallon Bradford White. —Not really a pretty site, but it’s in the garage and the water heater works. Alex was not a big guy, but he did it all himself. Before Alex left, he showed me how to turn off the gas and water on the heater. Hot water was available 45 minutes later.
It’s been 2 weeks and all is still good.

what an awesome company. I called today and they send someone very professional and really know his stuff two hours later. Steve fixed the water pressure and gave us some very good advice.
He did not even charged us for being here. He gave us a very clear and concise estimate. Best of all no pressure to do anything right away.
Really happy with the service and the personnel.
will definitely call them if I need any plumbing work.

Water heater replacement can be a shady business. It’s easy to get ripped off and overcharged like I was by this company. Shop around and compare prices before hiring anyone. A broken water heater is NOT an Emergency.

Our water heater let us know it was fried by leaving lots of water in our garage.
Yet, we were all smiles within minutes of calling this great business
seeking help.
We were happily surprised a customer service rep. was working not
only on a Sunday, yet on Dad’s day! They truly do take care of
customers ²⁴⁄₇!!!
Via phone, an appointment was made for the following day.
We were given a two hour time window– that’s a lot better than the up
to six hour time windows we’ve had from other service people.
Wow!!! First thing the next morning, the technician, Hakim called
and narrowed the time window to 15 minutes!
Wow again– he arrived within that window of time!
Hakim is an absolutely wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful man!
He was thorough in explaining the water heater purchasing options
and explained our particular and tricky installation; due to some stuff
in the way. I was impressed that he explained the issues so I could
understand what was going on.
In all honesty, up until Hakim visited our home for this repair, I had
lost all hope and trust in any service/​repair people and contractors.
Yet, after Hakim’s fantastic job replacing our water heater, I am
regaining faith!
I am 100% serious when I state that the service I received was the
best ever!
