Great-​un! I bought a couple of prints here and think the overall collection of artists represented is good. They could get some visiting artists who AREN’T doing pastoral Sonoma type landscapes, however.

Forestville, CA
Graton Gallery is a wonderful cozy professionally-​run gallery in the sweet little hamlet of Graton, West Sonoma County. The owners are all accomplished painters and bring in special guest artists year round, as well offering an array of ongoing consignment artists. You can find sculpture, wood, glass, ceramics, jewelry and other 3D work filling the pretty space as well as their own paintings & printwork. Their receptions are great… food and drinks outside in the sculpture garden, while a lively crowd roams the gallery. Drop by Graton Gallery and then head over to WillowWood Café or the Underwood for more goodness.

WOW. This is hands down the best gallery I’ve been to in the west coast. As a NYC gallery snob (used to work at Christie’s), I have high gallery standards. I was totally surprised to be blown away by a gallery in a town that has… about 1.5 blocks of «downtown.» I dragged my husband along who is not a super art lover, and even he was signing its praises. The art was varied in style, type, and price, which I loved, and somehow it all also seemed to gel together. If you’re in the area, definitely put this place on your list. If not, it’s still worth a trip!
