Frame of Mind

I love everything she’s done for me… I’ve had her frame about 10 things and everyone is always impressed with her work. She also helps me to choose matts and frames when Im not sure.

I purchased a picture for my daughter as a wedding present and was concerned about having it framed. There was no need for concern. Leslie was fantastic. When I told her what I was thinking, she came up with the perfect frame. She told me how long it would take and was good to her word. I could not have been more pleased.

Words cannot describe Leslie’s work! I can literally leave something there with the only instructions: Do your magic! and she will produce incredible masterpieces. All the frames are unique and you can tell she really looks for special stuff. Her matting, color choices, and other artistic touches don’t overwhelm what she frames, but do enhance everything she puts her hands on. She has a great eye for style and color.
When I moved down to Oakland to go to school, I tried to find another frame shop, but after 3 – 4 mediocre interviews, I decided to make that drive when I need something framed – almost an hour and a half! It’s worth it, too! (Sometimes I will ship it to her, but I always pick it up in person)
Really, she is a diamond – best framer I have ever used–

Hmmmm… a sledgehammer and claw hammer wind chime sculpture… LOVE IT! There was something so wicked about watching the dangling hammers blow gently in the summer breeze…
This is cute little frame shop in downtown Forestville that also displays and sells the work of local artists. I went here for a friend’s first «gallery» opening, and even though this isn’t some fancy pants high-​falutin’ art gallery in the city, it was still very exciting for her and wonderful to see her artwork on the wall. The owners were very nice and they have a lovely garden with sculptures, lavender, and a big bench to relax on out back.
My friend speaks very highly of the custom picture framing they have done for her, and based on what I have seen, they do a very good job. If you’re in the area, it is worth checking this place out for the local art and the garden alone. And if I had a spare $ 1,500, I’d buy that hammer wind chime in a hot second!
