I started with fried pickle chips. They were great. The batter was different than the usual run of the mill bar pickles. There are spices, and herbs in the batter, which made the pickles taste a lot better. The tater tots are great with their barbanaise sauce. The server said it was just 50% sweet baby rays, and 50% mayo. The black and blue burger is phenomenal. My wife got the bacon cheese burger and said it was great. I ordered the Italian grinder. It was perfect. Fresh baguette, picked vegetable relish, and all the meats and veggies you’d expect. The next night I ordered a Chicago beef grinder. It was amazing. Beef, cheese, and red peppers. Served with an jus. The dry rub smoked wings are out of this world!!! A must try! This place is on point. Great food, and great service. We’ll be back!

What’s happened??? New pavement a plus. New menu ok. Always love the staff, especially Lucas. It was our«go to» spot for some friendly conversation, wings, Thai pizza, and some great draft beer. UNFORTUNATELY, on the owners request, the music recently changed to some fast paced techno club music. NOT what we were expecting at 2pm in the afternoon. We were uncomfortable and found it hard to relax and visit. The two of us complained, the younger couple(25 yrs old) next to us complained and the guy at the bar complained. No compromise was offered by the staff even though we 5 were the only customers in the bar. If the room had been packed and no one else voiced a concern about the music, this wouldn’t be an issue. We would have stated our feelings and left. Having been coming to Maddy’s for couple years now, we have a good feel for the customer base and ambiance that greets that customer base. Techno club music is not the fit, unless you want to drive off that source of income. Understanding what your customers want while trying to improve is important, but swift change with no flexibility is unreasonable and not very customer driven. I suspect that others will feel that unreasonable change and find another place to visit and relax. If i wanted fast paced techno club music we’d drive into downtown Traverse and pretend we’re younger.

They’ve been catering to my company all week and have been giving us great orders and friendly conversations. Very happy with their quality and service.

If you don’t know, this is the same ownership as Bubba’s down on front. Once upon a time it was a little Italian place, before that, it was actually a house! Cool spot inside, great place to go when you don’t want to trudge all the way in town. Super nice staff So why 2 stars? They’ve dropped all their best items off their menu! It used to be the same menu as Bubba’s, but they recently went to a smaller menu here. No more big wonderful burgers, now they have sliders. No more California Club(I have to say, I know at least 3 people who came here JUST for the Cali club) replaced by some turkey sandwich. No more Olive Burger, etc etc. For a little while, they would still make the items if you asked. But we went this weekend and we’re told… no more. So unfortunate, this was a weekly carry out for us.

Not being from the area, I patronized two or three other places for a nice lunch to enjoy with a MI craft beer(s). That all ended when I came to Maddys… and never left! The food is just fine. Appetizers are well rehearsed. Staff is unsurmountable, personable and from my point of view, hold intellect. Since my first introduction to Maddys, I’ve invited a handful of friends. This has turned into a two or three times a week congregation! Recently I was told the menu will change. I’ve been to places where this would cause people to cringe…, but I think I’m safe in saying, it’s only going to be better! See you there!

Their flatbed pizzas are described accurately on the menu, great-tasting, modestly priced, and just right-sized for one or an appetizer for two. Nice work.

Best wings on the Planet! Don’t think twice. Head on over. My family has now become regulars at the restaurant. And we’ve never been disappointed!

Small place. Great food and drinks! Not your typical«bar» food — thankfully. I can only eat so much fried food. You won’t get a lot of that here. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely come back when I’m in the area.

We happen to be in the area for a few days. The food and service was so excellent that we returned three days straight. Great fare with a smile! If you are in the Interlochen area don’t miss an opportunity to stop in.

Only the best smoked wings in Northern Michigan! But they have lots more than just awesome wings!

I’ve eaten here twice. Both times the food and beer was great, but I’m writing this to complement the wait staff. The waiter that served us(Pat) was great. Pleasant, attentive, and he brought our food and drinks out quickly. This turned out to be a good place to grab a bite and a brew.

Let me tell you, this is a wonderful mom and pop shop with fresh flavor, skilled bar tenders, friendly service and left my husband and I feeling well taken care of with very happy tummies!

Cute little place near Interlochen. We came with the family right at the opening. I had the olive burger, which had fresh beef which was tasty. The bun was a hearty kind of bagel bun, which to me detracted from the taste of the burger, way too chewy. My wife had the roasted chicken which she enjoyed. My one son had a pizza. The waiter said they were having issues with the oven. The pizza was brought out late and the dough was raw. The manager apologized and did not charge us for the pizza. A definite downer for me was the onion rings I opted for with my burger, they were the prebattered frozen kind. That is one of my non-negotiables for any restaurant. I insist on homemade salad dressings, fresh meat and fresh battered rings. I mean how tough is it to make your own onion rings? My daughter’s ranch dressing with her chicken strips was homemade and very good. The atmosphere is cozy and loud. Overall this place is really average.

The best avocado salad ever! Tomatoes grown in the garden behind the restaurant! Fantastic burgers and great service. Nice outdoor seating. Fast service. Kid friendly!

Lots of choices on the menu, the herb bread that came with dinner was really good but I don’t recommend the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp. The fettuccine was well cooked but the alfredo was a little too heavy with butter but it was still good. The big disappointment was the shrimp it was $ 7 to add and they were so over cooked they were tough. The dish only had 6 shrimp but they were a decent size. I will try this place again but a different dish.

Didn’t know what to expect. Just needed a bite while skiing in the area. But when we walked in and saw the beer selections chalked on the walls, we knew we were in the right place. Lots of Michigan craft beers, bottled and on tap. My wife had a turkey club, I had a portobello wrap. Both were perfect. Good ingredients, flavorful, prepped superbly. Not the most complicated order, but some places struggle with even the basics. The tomatoes on the sandwiches were unusually good for off-season fruits. Looking forward to returning and sampling more of the menu.

Great craft beer options with well executed menu and good service. Compared to other options in the area this seemed like a good choice and we were not disappointed. Heirloom tomato salad with green goddess was really nice.

When we passed by on our way out to Arcadia, I made a mental note to check it out on the way back.,.and I’m glad I did! It was Phenomenal! Great menu! OMG! The smoked fish appetizer was out of this world! The smoked salmon chowder was yummy and my husband had the Cherry Bomb wrap, which was top-notch. The dessert menu looked tantalizing… but, alas, we were too full! We will definitely add Maddy’s to our list of favorite places in the TC area.
