Reopening as the Old 27 Roadhouse February 15, 2016. Open for breakfast and lunch with plans to expand to dinner later. We tried them out for breakfast today during their pre-opening trial run. Our food was great, service excellent, the dining room remodel looks fantastic. We look forward to going back for lunch next time. Check out their FB page and website.

Tchotchkes, old newspaper clippings, taxidermy, and folk art adorn every nook and cranny of the Lone Pine. It feels like being at your grandparents’ house. My lone visit to the Lone Pine led me to believe that this is a spot for mostly elderly locals to chat over mugs of coffee. Our waitress seemed to also be the owner, and she was sweet and friendly and grandma-ish(she was concerned about my health when I didn’t order any meat with my breakfast). Like the owners and the clientele, it seemed that the kitchen must have been staffed with octogenarians, because it took a very long time to get our simple breakfast order. Prices are old fashioned, too; our bill for two came to under $ 10. The food was fine, everything seemed clean, and the atmosphere was welcoming and quaint. I’d come back if I happened to find myself in need of breakfast while in Grayling.
