Had a party of 13. Very well taken care of. I lived here as a child. I now visit from Arizona. The pizza has remained the same(awesome) for forty years. The kids will love this place. Loud atmosphere, but it’s part of the whole experience. If you’re looking for a romantic Lakeside restaurant, don’t come here and complain. This is a fun place to come for really good pizza.

The pizza is mediocre, however, the service is friendly and polite! All of the servers were very accommodating when my loud family came in to celebrate a graduation. The free basket of peanuts they serve are tasty and salty, just like peanuts should be. I couldn’t help myself from NOT throwing the peanut scraps onto the floor. I get that brushing the cracked peanuts debris onto the floor is their stitch, but it’s still unsanitary and makes for an unpleasant experience. Whatevs.

I just dined at Bill’s Pub North, in Grayslake, IL. Split an order of Fried Ravioli with a side of Marina. Yum! Then the main course, a 14″ mushroom pizza, outstanding! Fun pub environment and Sara, our server was fantastic. A big scoop of ice cream for dessert, probably the best ice cream in Lake County, IL. We’re definitely going back, highly recommended!

Probably the best pizza anywhere in this area. Food is a pretty expensive for this type of restaurant… but worth it.

Got here at 6:00. Told would be a 30 minute wait. 90 minutes later, asked for the manager. Said he was too busy to come out. But there’s not a lot of people waiting. Been here about 30 times over the last ten years. Never again.

Saturday was my first time visiting this establishment. LOVEDIT! The atmosphere is amazing. It looks like a big log cabin and the inside is decorated with taxidermied animals and fish. We showed up at 630 pm with a party of 12, and had to wait an hour for a table, but that is to be expected with a large party on a busy Saturday. And the place was definitely busy. The host was friendly and when he showed us to a table, we were given a basket of peanuts and told to throw the shells on the ground. My kids had so much fun with the peanuts. We ordered three pizzas and a cheeseburger for my youngest. The pizzas came out and they were out of this world! I have never in my life eaten a pizza that tasted this good. The Bill’s Special pizza was delicious and the sausage was superb. We also got a Margarita pizza. It was so light and refreshing! My son’s cheeseburger looked so good I had to try some of it, and it too was great. The menu said it was a 1⁄3 of a pound of beef, but i swear this thing was as big as my son’s head. The grownups at the table ordered some of the spring specialty drinks with our meals. The Lemon Raspberry Long Island was so delicious. When we told the server how good it was, she said that the manager had invented that drink. Definitely recommend the Lemon Raspberry Long Island. Our server was phenomenal also. She was very attentive with our table’s needs. We never had an empty glass even though she was also taking care of 5 or 6 other tables at the same time. The pizzas took about 45 minutes to cook and get to our table, but again, there wasn’t an empty seat in the restaurant. Plus the peanuts and drinks kept us happy while we waited. Everything the server did was taken care of in a timely fashion and with a great deal of positivity and friendliness. I have worked in the restaurant industry before and she went above and beyond what I could have possibly expected. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who loves pizza and a fun atmosphere while they dine. I will definitely be coming back again and again. Bill’s Pub North’s pizza is the king of Lake County!

Their GF pizza is delicious! However, it is not safe for celiacs. I got incredibly sick.

1st time visit. Last time visit? We ordered cheese fries, fries tasted like they came out of a bag frozen from a generic super market brand. Cheese wasn’t good either. I ordered the fish sandwich, 2 small formed fish strips straight from the same supermarket on a hard dry bun. and tater sauce packets eww. If you ever had the Cole slaw that jewels makes in their deli then I swear it’s the same brand, nasty. My oldest got the hamburger that was a perfectly formed square of dried cow. He also hated his fries. My youngest got the chicken wings which he said were deliciously awesome which is why this place got a 2nd star. The service was great and I did not that reflect on the tip:) if we ever go back we will try the pizza which I have heard is good.

2nd time I went to pick up an order and they screw up. No apology, just«hey we can take the pizza off your order» vs I’m sorry we messed your order up. Perhaps if you paid attention instead of one guy standing around hitting on the two girls at the desk, you would have noticed. Or if you think my last name is funny perhaps use a whisper instead of letting me hear it. Thanks great job Bill’s!

Bills has the best thin crust veggie pizza hands down. The crust is always crisp and the veggies are always fresh. It is a little on the pricer side but a great treat every now and then. Worth the splurge.

love going here for pizza, beer and peanuts. The prices are great, and the atmosphere is layed back.

Great pizza, awful service. 30 min after ordering our waiter says it will be right out. 10 min after that he rushes past to say there was an issue and the manager will be right out. After 5 min we flagged another waitress who was kind enough to check on our order. Apparently they had given our pizza to the wrong table and never bothered to put our order back in. Our waiter clearly couldn’t have cared less. Hope he continued not caring once he eventually discovered we walked out. From now on, I’ll drive the extra 15 min to go the original in Mundelein. Apparently this is a common problem at the North location because the manager(woman with dark hair and darker attitude) insists on bringing out the pizzas and often screws up this very simple task. She also has a habit of ignoring upset customers and refusing to own up to her mistakes.

Pizza is excellent here! As an appetizer I stick with the mozzarella sticks. My mom likes their meatball sandwiches. I always do carry out so I can’t review the wait staff.

Mediocre food, bad waitress … At least during my last visit. My family went to Bills recently for dinner and after waiting 45 minutes for our pizzas we asked our waitress how much longer, she went to go check. 10 minutes later she came back and explained that she FORGOT to enter our dinner order. There’s better food in the area and better service too ! I will not be recommending Bills Pizza anytime soon.

Your Unilocal page says open until midnight. Drove 20 min to arrive at 11:20 to be turned away on a Saturday night. I won’t be wasting time making another trip back.

I will NEVER be stepping foot inside Bill’s again. My family were visiting from abroad and we brought them in with my two 3 years old children this evening. We got in and waited for a table without issue, got to our table and ordered at 6.11pm(the time the server told me). At 6.40pm I inquired about the whereabouts of our food… Oh, it’s going to be another 5 – 10 minutes as pizza takes 30 – 35 minutes… we were 30 minutes after ordering at this point. At 6.50 I noticed that people that had arrived AFTER us that were behind us and sitting in front of us had both received their pizzas… where was the 30 – 35 minutes for them??! I went to the server station to ask anyone why other tables had their food and the server,(older lady with dark hair pulled back) wouldn’t even look at me and was rather rude. She just mumbled about what people order(we ordered pizza as well, the same as the other tables), and then just walked away… nice staff manners there! I then found our server and asked, they were only just putting the food in for my children. At this point I have 2 upset small children that do not understand why they can not eat. How do I explain that to them when they see others getting their food before us?! Please explain that to me, as that life lesson would be a great help! It got to 7pm, at this point I had given up the will to live and we cancelled our order. I wanted to pay for our drinks and the server said they would get the manager… The manager obviously couldn’t be bothered to come out and the server said that our drinks were comped… not sure whether I was meant to say thank you for that or not, but with the manners I was brought up with I did, even though I was seething. The final family meal for my parents that are returning home tomorrow was completely ruined by your company. I am extremely upset and will be spreading this by word of mouth as far as I can to highlight the obvious inefficiencies that you have in your restaurant.

Usually we get pizza here. Tonight we opted for a change. The fish and chips were basically out of a box and to add insult to injury the tartar sauce was packets. The burger was freezer burned and not eaten because of fear of food poisoning. This was a «don’t come back» experience

I’m a little disappointed. Yes, this used to be our go to for take out, but it has gone downhill. Chicken dinner take out the other day was bad; they forgot rolls and cole slaw and we had to drive back to get them. The broasted potatoes were greasy and seemed old. We also got a large pizza and they are very stingy with their toppings, which you wouldn’t expect with their prices. I think they do well with their name; but are losing some long time regulars by cutting corners on quality.

Stopped in around 6:00 tonight with my wife. Not a bad crowed for a Monday night(probably 1⁄3 full). For those that haven’t been there, let me describe the place: The building is fairly new(maybe 10 years old), but built to look like an old north-woods log cabin. Lots of dead animals mounted on the walls(fish, fowl, deer, bear, etc). As you walk in there is a game room off to the right with pinball, and about 8 video games. Each table is given a basket of peanuts and you can throw the shells on the floor(the kids love this). Pizza is the main attraction here, but they have other options such as burgers, and chicken sandwiches. I had a cheese burger and fries. The pizza is very good, everything else is average. Bill’s is a good inexpensive place to take your family. Kids love the game room and peanuts. I like the friendly service and reasonable prices.

You can eat peanuts and toss the shells on the floor! What more do you need to know? From a service standpoint — the hostess was very, «this isn’t where I want to be right now… but fine, here’s your table.» Our waitress was great. Once we told her that we had never been before — she became incredibly friendly and informative. Torn on which brew to get — she brought samples of both without question and that helped. For the pizza — we went with the double decker. My stomach was incredibly pleased. My waist line grew with delight. The best part of the double decker is the rolled crust. Mmm… crust. We ordered our 3 year old his own pizza. Once it arrived — we realized the 3 of us could’ve shared it, it was that big. It’s a good place for kids due to the size, space between tables… you can toss peanut shells on the floor and there’s a mini arcade. We’ll be back when we feel like having pizza at a sit-down restaurant.
