My fave local coffee shop! I loved their spinach dip n’ chips and the lemon poppyseed muffins are da bomb!

I seriously seriously cannot get enough of Something’s Brewing! Their food is amazing and the prices could not be better. My favorite thing on the menu is the Loco Chicken Labretti — get the full sized one and make two meals out of it for only $ 1 extra! The chicken they use is so well seasoned and absolutely delicious! And be sure to upgrade to the spinach dip and bagel chips — they are to die for! I also love their cannolis! They are really really good. Overall I really really love this place and cannot wait to go back again!

I’ve been at this location, the one at CLC, and the one in the downtown location for over five years and I can say that this place is amazing! They have a wide variety of options for breakfast and lunch/dinner and I’ve never had a bad meal here. For the breakfast, I typically will get the cheese omelet and not only is it very big and filling, buy you also get a side of toast and taters which are delicious. For lunch/dinner, I typically get their hot or cold wraps and they both are filling and tasty. For the hot wraps, I typically will get the fajita wrap or the buffalo chicken with a side of the sugar cookie. I’ve also had the buffalo chicken salad which is also delicious, but it only comes with a side of garlic bread. With almost every option, you have a choice of some sides such as one of their cookies, an apple, or if you are willing to pay a $ 1 more, a salad or hummus and veggies. Many years ago this was not extra, but even now it is worth the extra money. As far as the service I’ve always been treated respectfully and kindly by all of the staff and never had any customer service related issues. Anytime I am in the Grayslake area, I try to make a stop at any of the locations as I have yet to be disappointed in the quality of the service and food received here.

I had a meeting at CLC& decided to do a quick search on Unilocal for a coffee spot. Came across this cute café located north of the campus in a strip mall. The décor was quaint & had tables full of women chatting the morning away. I had so much hope for that big good looking cranberry muffin that I eyed near the register. «One to go please!» By the time I had the first bite in my car, it was more like«money down the drain.» Dry & stale. I should of expected it though because there were a ton of pastry & candy items to select from, that no way could all of them had been made fresh that day. Oh well, my fault for not sticking to my reliable Seattle green friend.

I’ve eaten lunch here many times and always enjoyed it. Great sandwich/wrap fillings and the soup is always good as well. Good portion sizes for the price. Word to the wise — plan way ahead because the food is not only not quick, it’s not even«kinda slow». Unfortunately, I didn’t get to eat today after all :(I ordered at about 12:15 and still had no food at ten minutes to one when I had to leave to make a work appointment. So I do recommend this place for the quality, variety, and the very nice staff. Just be sure you have time to wait it out.

Use to love this place but the quality has changed. we had two sandwiches the club and American. The club was so peppery and what they called ranch was more like Caesar dressing. The American was processed meat and dry bread ! They also don’t have blueberry bagels any more and their muffins are dry :(sad

I have been coming here for years and am barely getting around to a review. Shame on me. Substantially better than the one on Center Street. I think the staff is more experienced so they get your order right every time. One star off because sometimes my Oreo or Red Velvet Cake Pop tastes stale. But notable mentions are the buffalo chicken sandwhich, buffalo chicken salad and the bagel chips.

We just finished eating and are still in the place. The food we had was just ok and no imagination. I ordered the Ranchero wrap and it was just sausage, cheese and egg on a stale wheat wrap. Blah and tasteless. My wife ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese, not toasted. It came out not just toasted but burnt toasted. She sent it back and asked that they not toast it. It was brought back out and it was ice cold, that means the bagel was not fresh and stored in the fridge. Glad we brought our own coffee from SB.

My wife and I have yet to try something we didn’t like. Great for a simple night out. Everything is made fresh!

Love both locations of Something’s Brewing! There is another one downtown Grayslake. Both locations have a very cozy, hometown feel. The sandwiches and baked goods are quite delicious and priced reasonably. Love the candy and funky line of greeting cards.

The only reason I am going to give this coffee shop 2 stars is because my first impression was«this is a really nice looking shop». THEN things got serious. …My «cappuccino» was the worst I have ever had. First off for a small, 12oz they only use ONE espresso shot… HUH? The milk was way-way-way-way …did I mention WAY to hot and burnt. I am very unhappy having to write this because I wanted so badly to enjoy this place. Cappuccino should be foam. MORE foam than milk, correct? I am not crazy right? Barley any foam, and what was there was just horrible. I guess could it be possible it was the baristas first day? Maybe. I sure hope so… I usually do not review based on one visit… however, this will be my only visit to this place. How can I support a small buisness like this? I never go out this way, just happen to be in this area for a meeting. The big B(the boss man) who I was with, ordered a reg. coffee, which I didn’t taste, but he wasn’t impressed. The place had a pretty decent location and I would say that’s about the only thing holding it together. The prices were fine, the menu looked nice. I didn’t see any bakery items, unless I missed’em? Ahhh!

I really like stopping into this place! It’s a nice break from the trendy hustle and bustle of starbucks and they offer so much more to eat! Have some great soups, sandwiches, and have some yummy sweet treats too! Definitely worth paying a visit.

I prefer the Something’s Brewing downtown Grayslake. I only come to the Washington Street location if I have to. The service is too slow & they make my sandwich wrong every time. The downtown location gets 5 stars… same owner, same menu — world of difference. Even the staff is friendlier downtown… will go out of my way from now on. Signed, Tired of waiting

Maybe it’s because I grew up in Grayslake and have fond memories of something brewing but I love this place. Both locations are great. Although I have not lived in Grayslake since I moved away from college(9 years ago) I always go to something’s brewing when I am home visiting. We even recommended it to guests coming in from out of town for our wedding. People went and loved it. It’s a great local coffee shop with good food and good atmosphere.

Nice little café and sandwich shop, though the service is sketchy. No greeting when I walked into the empty store. No table service. No eye-contact when I was ordering. Mumbling and uninformative about their offerings. Lot’s of various useless gifts and trinkets litter the walls and shelves. Big menu with a lot of choices but hard to read and not very clear. Spacious seating area. Peaceful. Quaint.

Nothing special. I have had the sandwiches which are decent but far from great. The coffee is far from swill but i have had better, though i would get it here if needed. The prices were about what you’d expect The staff i have seen in different aspects. I have seen them act attentively and nice and really show customer service, but i have also seen them act flat out rude and uncalled for towards customers. Decent menu of drinks
