Gypsy Joynt Jive

This is a fun place to hang out. There are a ton of arcade games, if that’s your thing (who doesn’t love a little buck hunter?), pool, and air hockey. The place is pretty big so I can’t imagine it ever gets overly crowded. The drinks are very cheap. Cocktails were $ 8 – 10 if I remember correctly. I stuck with the draft beers, which are served in mason jars. I think they’re all $ 5 and these are pretty solid offerings. This isn’t really a beer bar so I wouldn’t expect anything crazy, but they did have Lagunitas IPA and BBC Coffee Porter among other things. There’s a small menu of bar food as well. I liked the Jive, it’s a lot different from the rest of Great Barrington and doesn’t seem to shoot for the well-​heeled tourists that many of the other bars/​restaurants cater to.

Great Salad I had one with grilled shrimp and the Lemon Tahini dressing. We ordered our salads to go and had a beer while waiting. Good selection of local beers.

They were also very good with my allergies, and helped me find food that was safe to order, filling, and most importantly delicious!

Late night, great drinks and menu, awesome music. Pool tables, many many old fashioned arcade games. Great beer selection. Great vibe.
