I have been using this store for 20 years. Under the new management the service is horrible. No one follows up, they aren’t helpful and are now clueless. So sad!

Super friendly staff they attend to you with little wait time.
Dr Fried gives an amazingly thorough Eye examine and explains things as he goes along. He is also very personable and I prefer a professional who can smile.
The frames themselves are pricey as pointed out in other reviews here however if you have insurance that should help you along otherwise the frames are fashion forward and expect to pay designer line prices.
If you have any issues also their customer service is great — Maria goes the extra mile to make you feel great.
My boyfriend has been coming here for years. We shall return.

I have been taking my teenage daughter to vision associates for almost a year now. She wears glasses and contacts. The customer service is wonderful and Dr. Levy is excellent! The go the extra mile to ensure your vision is optimal!

I began shopping here in the 1980’s so I know this place very well. Rhonda, the receptionist and ‘gal Friday’ is the best. Alan Katz, optician is kind and honest. My problem, and it is huge, is Dr. Larry Levy and Alyssa and Rob. They do not respect the customer, have no idea of courteous service and make for a very unnecessary tense experience.
Dr. Fried may be nice, but he seems to condone this behavior by neglecting to supervise his employees.
I recommend Great Neck Opticians with Steven J. Derkatch, owner and optician. Prices are reasonable, service is personal and personable so each visit is a pleasure.
For my annual exams, I go to ophthalmologists, Alan Marks and Leslie Goldberg, located at 1981 Marcus Avenue across from Sears.

Great place for people who have/​need glasses. Full service from eye exams to customized glasses.
Dr. Fried — great optometrist. Has a friendly, accommodating staff that gets you in when you need to be and out with what you need. Dr. Fried detected that my previous Astigmatism was incorrectly identified and finally got me looking through glasses comfortably.
The Opticians are friendly and have a great selection of glasses from all of the big manufacturers. They get frames made with corrective lenses fast and comfortably.
If you need an eye doctor or a pair of glasses, come here.

Great optical store. Good selection of name brand glasses. They give a REALLY thorough eye exam every time they change your prescription. Unfortunately they are very expensive.
