I am at this place every week! It’s just that fantastic! I can’t eat Wegmans sushi any more, it’s not that fresh and yummy like Kobe The hot saki with pineapple is awesome!

Do not eat the raw sushi. I got bubble guts in less than 1 hr after eating sushi here. My bill was $ 17 for a sample. Yeah, never gonna eat here again. Stick to Hibachi and cooked foods.

My cook was seriously creepy. There was 10 of us and all of us felt uncomfortable by what I can only call a «creepy experience». The food however was good which got the 2nd star!

LOVE Kobe for Hibachi! Best in Rochester. I don’t eat sushi, but I know people like theirs a lot as well. So glad we have a great Japanese restaurant around, hope that never changes!

Showed up at 5 and the restaurant was not yet busy. My girlfriend tried to ask for a table and we were very rudely told by the first hostess that they were booked with reservations till 8. As my girlfriend and I were trying to decide what we wanted to do the rude hostess turns to us says«So are taking a table or what?» I said hang on one second were talking about it. The second hostess then gave a rude sigh and a roll of the eyes. We obviously did not take a table for 8 we turned and left.

I am not terribly impressed. We went there 3 times and always order the love boat. It is supposed to be the chefs choice on the rolls. All 3 times we got the same rolls. I expected something different, especially when we don’t have a choice on the rolls. Also wish the restaurant was a bit bigger. At times it’s incredibly hard to get seat on a busy days. Also don’t expect to get a quiet dinner, a few times got to experience the rowdy pre bar crowd

Came here for my birthday lunch with my husband and son. The place was empty(Tuesday lunch) so we grabbed seats at the sushi bar to watch the chef work. Our waiter was quick to attend to our needs– he brought out a side of rice extremely quickly for my hungry son, and helped me pick out a few cooked rolls(pregnancy ruins all the raw fun!) that were just as delicious as my usual choices. I enjoyed the Queen roll, and my husband had the Sesame Tuna roll. The sushi chef even passed over an appetizer on the house– which he assured me was cooked. The whole meal was delicious and prompt. The only small complaint I have is the soy sauce was obviously watered down. When poured, it came out a light tan color rather then the usual dark brown/black. It wasn’t salty at all and I needed a lot more then usual. Other then that we had a great time and will definitely be back when I can eat and drink what my heart truly desires!

Most recent trip here this evening was a bit less than I’ve come to expect from Kobe. I’m not sure how they could do it but the food although nicely presented and fresh, seemed a bit bland. Oh well, no one hits a home run every time at bat. Next visit will most likely get them back to 5 stars from me.

This place looks spacious has a full bar and also a sushi bar. As you walk in there is sit down dining, and the other side has 4 – 5 hibachi tables.

Second time I’ve been to this exotic restaurant, and both times have been spot on. Not too many negatives other then the lack of tang and the shitty couple that we were stuck with, she seemed like a rag. But anyway I let the strange man squirt some sake in my mouth and I really fucked that up, ended up all over my face. Couldn’t even catch the fucking broccoli in my mouth, can I do anything right? Soup was decent, I only drank it because I’m assuming it would make my Swanson rock hard(didn’t end up pounding that night). Steak was good and price was pretty decent so that was a plus. Most importantly I realized I wanna recruit a Japanese man into the Wolfpack. Peace.

Kobe is extremely good! Everything is fresh and well put together, they even have excellent presentation on their dishes! I especially like their Japanese mayo on their rolls. The place is somewhat on the pricey side, but here, you do get what you pay for. The food is very filling. Everything I’ve tried here so far — Nabeyaki Udon, Crabstick Roll, Chicken Tonkatu, Tuna Dumplings, etc has been fantastic!

Came here for a date night with the husband. Was sat next to an obnoxious group looking to get drunk and ignore their children. The cook was great and very entertaining, offering to pour sake down our throats however we passed. Everything was fresh and a fun presentation, however none of it truly wowed me.

Best Hibachi in the Rochester area. We live in Greece, NY and USE to drive all the way Pittsford Place for a very popular one. This one is better in every way. I think the food is better and the Hibachi chef’s are much more entertaining. We took my 4 year old there for his b day and he loved the big fire they do. The chef did it 4 times for him. Little things make all the difference.

Me and my husband went to dinner here for the first time tonight. We have gone to a few Hibachi places before but this one is by far the best. They sat us right away and within minutes we had drinks. They were also quick to take our order. The cook was super fun and entertaining! The food tasted amazing! The portion size of food you get is a lot and very filling. The price is just right for hibachi at around $ 20 a combo plate. I look forward to going again.

I recommend this place to everyone it is my favorite place to go. Roger, the owner, really knows how to treat his guests. I feel like I’m at home when I’m there. I go at least once a week for take out or sit down. If I don’t feel like sushi one day I get the hibachi and vice versa. The food is so fresh and delicious. My favorite is the sesame tuna roll. It is spicy tuna with raw tuna on top and sauce that is out of this world. Their salad ginger dressing is amazing and they have the best miso soup I have ever tasted. Their prices are reasonable and definitely worth it. The wait staff is on point and they have a beautiful, personable bartender and friendly hosts. The hibachi is very entertaining and the protein is fresh and cooked to perfection. The portions are huge! You get a lot of rice, noodles and vegetables. I am always full leaving with a large to go box. I really can’t say enough about this place, I love it. If you go on the weekends make sure to make a reservation and sometimes even during the week, as they are very busy. I always get the hot sake, it is delicious and a must try. Everything on their menu is great, so try everything! If for some reason you had a bad experience give it another shot you won’t be disappointed! I love kobe!!!

It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside it’s a secret gem! Both a Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar… hibach is amazing and entertaining! I recently went her with a few girlfriends right at 5:15 and didn’t have to wait for a table… nights get busy but it’s worth the wait. We started off with Edamame that were hot and fresh. Perfect to go with our cocktails of sake and beer! I had my favorite… Hawaii Roll… Crispy shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, sliced pineapple. On topped served w. alaska king crab salad and w. nuta sauce. 10 large pieces… aloha baby! My friends had the sushi deluxe platter and a field goal roll… it’s up and it’s gooood!. We all devoured our fresh made to order, authentic food. NOCOMPLAINTSATALL Roger and the staff here are friendly and enjoy what they do. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Always excellent service here. My favorite hibachi spot for family time, drinks with friends, or date nights with my love. Food is great and they adjust to your needs(allergies).

Kobe roll and Hawaii roll are soooo good!!! Unfortunately they are a bit pricey. =( I do NOT recommend the Spicy Salmon roll. It was extremely fishy… The way previously frozen old fish smells and tastes. We sent it back. 2 of the 3 of us tried it and had the same reaction. Lastly, The place is small and seating can be cramped.

I visited Kobe Steak & Sushi House for dinner last week after a recommendation from a friend. I wouldn’t normally drive to Greece for dinner, but I figured I should expand my horizons. Call me a sushi«purist» or just plain old«snob», but I usually prefer more traditional sushi and rolls without the spicy or sweet sauces. I was therefore a bit skeptical about the sushi at Kobe. For appetizers, we ordered the shumai and crab rangoons. Both were decent, without any huge surprises. The shumai were smaller portioned and less meaty than your typical Chinese dim sum shumai. The crab rangoons were nicely deep fried without being too oily. For sushi, I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered the Hawaii Roll. It consisted of crispy shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, sliced pineapple topped with Alaskan king crab salad(oh you fancy) and nuta sauce. Yeah, ordering something covered in «nuta sauce» is risky, especially when the waiter didn’t even know what it was. Not surprisingly, the sweet and sour of the pineapple and coleslaw overpowered the taste of tuna. Don’t get me wrong, it was tasty, but I feel like the focus should be on the fish and less on the sauce. I’ll get off my high horse and say that if you like«saucy» sushi, then you should give Kobe a try. The portions are large and the value is okay. The $ 14 Hawaii roll came with 10 huge pieces. The rolls are a bit more crudely put together than rolls from Nikko and Sushi King. What Kobe lacks in delicacy, however, it makes up for with sheer size. My friend ordered the Soft Shell Crab Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll which were just okay. We also shared a hibachi chicken dinner. Surprisingly, it was my favorite part of the dinner. $ 14.50 may seem a little steep for chicken hibachi, but it comes with A LOT of food. This includes soup, salad, fried rice, noodles and 2 pieces of grilled shrimp. The chicken was tender and their hibachi white sauce is addictive. All in all, Kobe is a decent Japanese option in Greece. I probably wouldn’t drive to Greece on my own accord just to eat at Kobe again. I would consider going back for the Hibachi experience though.

I’m a fan of sushi period, this little place didn’t disappoint. The tuna dumpling is really unique, and we felt a bit of wasabi elevated the flavor. The tempura chicken and veg were light and served with a mild dipping sauce. I felt fruity and went for the Mango Tango Roll, Avocado, mango, shrimp tempura, cucumber, spicy kani inside, w. red tobiko outside. The mango was kind of macerated and you couldn’t really taste it. Hawaii Roll, Crispy shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, sliced pineapple. On topped served w. Alaska king crab salad and w. nuta sauce. This was enormous, the sliced pineapple was more chunked, not wanting to cut my sushi into pieces and also not sure how I would be able to cut it, I indecently crammed pieced in my mouth. Not something you want to order on a first date… then again maybe you do. Crispy Spicy Tuna Roll, Rice wrapped w. seaweed deep fried, on topped served w. spicy tuna, different texture with the crispy skin. The favorite was the Dynamite Roll, Spicy yellowtail & tuna wrapped inside. On topped served w. spicy crunchy crab stick salad, this had a wasabi sauce around it and was delicious.
