I was in the area so I came to this store to pick up some stuff for my nieces to put away for Christmas. I was just as impressed with e the selection and variety with this store as the Henrietta store. I once again had to say to myself, why is it that I get toys from Target when we have this place? I got what I needed and everything was at the priced I wanted. The biggest difference between this location and Henrietta is the staff. There was staff EVERYWHERE at this location and they were all helpful and approachable. The difference in staff would make me drive to this location instead of Henrietta.

Yay! It’s awesome again! First, I advise you read my previous review(just click the link below) which details how great it was 20 years ago, how it went bad, and how it’s slowly rising up again. I went in this store a couple days ago to buy some gifts(and also explore a little). I’m glad to see that the store is doing much better. It is well-stocked, clean, and organized. This is the way Toys R Us should be! I’m giving it a 4 instead of a 5 because it could be better organized and the halls a bit wider and more navigable. The prices are a little high, but not unreasonable. There also seems to be a bit of a lack of selection, but I blame that more on the store’s modest size and trying to accommodate more baby supplies than anything else. Expanding would help.(Seriously, they’re selling diapers and food and everything. This is great to make it a one-stop-shop, but they’re moving away from the toy market.) Additionally, they’re selling everything from birth(and even before birth) to adults(ie. bikes, professional-quality basketballs, video games, etc.), meaning their selection and store space may need to be sacrificed to accommodate the wide selection. I got what I needed and was glad they had it! I’m also happy to see that the store is starting to return to that wonderful state I remember from my childhood. I believe the Henrietta store can accommodate more baby stuff(hence being connected to Babies R Us), but this store still probably had was you need if you’re looking for a toy.

I don’t prefer these kind of chain big-boxed superstores since their prices are usually unfair and the stores aren’t the best well kept. So maybe It’s ok to believe that this Toys R Us might be quite different and maybe deli… what am I saying? This branch is crap. After trying to find reasonable video game prices, I thought maybe Toys R Us might be a good option for a good deal. Didn’t help when I walked in that the selection was severly lacking in fairness. I have never seen so much overpriced games in one area($ 50 for Sims 3 used?), should’ve stopped there but me and my car collecting hobby, went to go check out that aisle. Walking through the aisles, it was apparent the management here either likes having toys all over the floor or have some kind of phobia to cleaning. I finally found the aisle I was looking for only to meet face to face with prices that even made Wal-Mart seem like a better option. The employee’s are alright, didn’t experience any people with a terrible«I don’t care» attitude but does that help it? Well that and the ok selection of toys and baby gear makes this department metropolis rise above«epic failure» and place in the«passable category.» Too sum it all up? It’s a trainwreck of an establishment that deserves a kick in the head for whoever decided on the prices for these items. I mean, Toys R Us made me consider Wal-Mart as an option!

It’s a Babies R US and Toys R Us in one store. Selection is lacking, especially if you”re looking for baby stuff. Staff is OK at best, so don’t expect fantastic service. Have had a few good experiences, but by far, it’s a bunch of people who obviously hate their jobs. Drop in if you need something in a pinch. Otherwise, do yourself a favour and head out to the stores in Henrietta.

Terrible. Miserable staff and just a mess of a store. I wouldn’t want to bring a kid in here, even. Much better off taking a trip to a place like Dan’s Crafts and Things and deal with good service and toys that have more educational value. eBay would also be a better alternative, buying better made vintage toys. Toys r Us is bottom of the barrel.

I have been in a few Babies R Us stores, mostly the separate gigantic stores filled with thousands *thousands* of things for baby. It’s overwhelming, especially for a first timer. It’s time consuming, for any parent. This location is not overwhelming. The items needed are there, but the selection is lacking. If you’re looking for, say, a video monitor(as I was on my last visit), you would probably start by looking for the«Monitors» sign on the aisle markers. By doing so, you will have passed the end cap of monitors a few times before noticing them. You pass them more than once because you probably have a small child with you for which you wish to monitor and that child is excitedly pointing out all the super awesome amazing *brightly colored* toys opposite the baby section. Be strong, there’s more battle to be fought. Or give in now, because you’ll be waiting a few minutes for the manager to come unlock the monitor case and you’re going to run out of distractions or excuses as to why your small child does not need that brightly colored robot dinosaur. I realize now how cool a robot dinosaur is and am glad my husband was not there, too, otherwise the store’s strategy would have worked. The manager arrived after a short wait(staring at the rows of toys made it feel like 10 minutes, but it was most definitely closer to 5). He answered my random questions(«does the camera have a red ring in night vision mode; will the sound play without video?») very competently, suggesting the BRU branded one that was cheaper($ 130 vs $ 150) than the name brand even though it was actually made by that very same name brand and is similar in every way. He explained that competitor coupons wouldn’t be accepted at this location but the Henrietta store would be able to credit me a Buy Buy Baby coupon discount, however the monitors in question were on clearance and wouldn’t qualify for a coupon. Their price on the store brand model was just over what Amazon has the name brand for, but I needed it that day so the difference in price was trumped by instant gratification. The store was clean and relatively clutter free considering it *is* a toy store. Though I felt it was clean, it was dingy somehow. The Babies R Us locations always seem brighter, or newer. Perhaps newer is the issue here, as in this location is not newer, it is older. I don’t know that for a fact but it appears to have been the original occupant of the strip mall location, and no big renovations have been done since they opened. No matter, quality customer service is more important than a pretty floor. Selection would be nice, too, so for obscure items or a particular brand I’ll be sure to head out to Henrietta(probably to the Buy Buy Baby, though, they have a super awesome amazing binky wall).

Probably one of the worse Toys R Us stores I’ve ever been to. The store is generally a wreck, the employees are hit or miss when it comes to customer service and during busier times they take the phone off the hook to avoid picking it up(hence the hours of the phone sounding fast busy the other day).
