Lots of foods to eats but not a lot of decorations Not a lot of excitement or anything pretty boring looking in side

If I could give zero stars, I would. Went here a few months ago, and after reading reviews that only mention the crappy atmosphere, I figured I’d give an accurate review the food. Arrived an hour and a half before closing. Couldn’t tell you what type of food there was, only that it was so old and dehydrated that it was as if it were sitting there for days. Chicken was gross. Spaghetti was gross. Desert was gross, the list goes on. I think I opted for some elements of a taco and some salad. I had barely eaten anything and had felt like I had eaten everything. Went home feeling sick. Now for the atmosphere: When we walked in, the hostess was nowhere to be found so we sat ourselves. It took about 20 minutes for anyone to even notice us. There was barely anyone there but several tables were dirty and the whole place smelled of dirty mop water. To top it off our bill(for 5 people) was $ 80 something. Absolutely unreal. This place is a crap hole. Do not waste your time, money or health on this place.

3÷17÷25 Today they had corned beef & potatoes to celebrate St. paddy’s Day.’ The beef was carved to order. The potatoes eere tossed with parsley. Hummm. The salad area have greens and condiments & dressing. Love the chick peas, and other stuff to put on top of the salad. There are other salads & fruits. I tried the«seafood» and didn’t like it; same as the carrot & raisin one-didn’t care for it. Fried chicken was very good too. Desserts: assorted pudins & little pies & ice cream.

They do not accept Groupon coupons, which was very disappointing, despite being offered as a featured deal for Rochester area. The hostess who after denying our groupon coupons, proactively applied a few other coupons. Not sure to what extent it helped compared to the groupon option, but I’m thankful that she did it. It was a bit hard to find a table that was cleaned. It felt as though they were understaffed in that department. It was an hour and 45 minutes before closing when we went. Food was alright, with a few options for vegetarians. No better or no worse than an Asian(non-Indian) buffet. This, as with any other all you can eat buffet place, is good for picky kids; for adults, it depends.

Walking in expectations were low, but this guy was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and constantly replenished, it wasn’t the highest quality food but it is a Buffett! I will also mention they can’t mess up ice cream and Icee’s. :-)

I would go to this place if other people wanted to go here but I would never choose to go here myself. The food quality, even for a buffet, is not good. They put waaaaay too much salt and seasoning on the food. The roast beef tastes like dog food. The taco meat is mystery meat. The steak is very chewy. The best thing to get there, in my opinion, is the salad bar and the rolls. In general, the clientele that go here are loud and rowdy. If you are very hungry, want something quick, and don’t care how the food tastes, this is a good place to go.

Old country buffet has gone through a series of small changes since I used to come here as a little kid. It got progressively louder with an increasingly rambunctious and rowdy clientele. Of course, you kind of expect that given the price and quality of food(or lack thereof). Prices have increased from around $ 7 per person a few years ago to about $ 12 per adult now if you decide to purchase a beverage. However, the quality of food seems to have dropped a bit. I never bother with the carving station because the steak is over seasoned and chewy, the roast beef is salty and dry, and I simply don’t like ham. However, I will occasionally get the turkey when it’s available. The taco bar is decent but usually the chips are undercooked so it is plasticky. The salad bar is usually well stocked and I will start off with spring mix, tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, carrots, eggs, and ranch. The grilled chicken is hit or miss, but again, too salty. I don’t know why they make things so salty there but it wasn’t as bad a few years ago. They have a new stir fry bar which is a failure in my opinion. I think 1.5 stars is more fitting for this review. I probably wouldn’t choose to go there but sometimes I’m just hungry and want a lot of food or other people want to go, in which case I have no issues with dining there. I’ll take Golden Corral any day over OCB.

Eek! Methinks not because it’s too ghetto… crowded & messy.
