Anjelica was awesome. Dennis was not. Nachos were soggy. Margaritas delicious. Wish I had more to say about this place but nope. Some jerk kept on playing the theme to the love boat.

Here for lunch with our kids — it took over 2 hours, food cold had to send it back, just waiting for the server to take the bill took painfully long. Real disappointed in a local favorite

The Distillery is an odd place. I suspected this would be some sort of mixture between a dive bar and a watering hole but it takes those elements and combines them with the feel of a sports bar and creates an odd atmosphere that leaves me wondering what I should classify this restaurant. In that case, consider this a clash between a tavern and a sports bar. When you walk through an odd corner entrance, you are face to face with a giant piece of wood where the hosts are. Don’t be surprised if no one is there since I had to wait about a minute or two for one to show up but it shouldn’t be that much of a bother to many. You will instantly notice the giant wrap around bar that is wide enough to fit almost twenty plus people. It takes up a good chunk of the restaurant along with the many bars and tables spread about the area but there is still a good enough amount to move around. What may turn you off is how loud it can get in here on any given day. It’s not just the other people dining but because they have large flat panel televisions everywhere you turn with each turned up to the maximum volume, it’s hard to even carry on a conversation. It’s quite annoying from the start and I wish that they would either get rid of some of them or turn down the volume. The décor itself is typical«dive bar» and doesn’t really follow a certain theme or motif so nothing is really that catching. Want a booth? They aren’t very comfortable as it’s just deep hard wood but it can still be alright to those who are hungry enough. So styling wise, it’s not my choice and I really didn’t like the vibe the place gave off throughout the whole time I was there. However, when it came to the food I was surprised to find it wasn’t all that bad, but it wasn’t all that great either. The menu was just all over the place mixing Italian dishes with Mexican dishes which made choosing an item difficult because nothing looked appealing for the prices. I settled on just creating my own Cajun sandwich with applesauce since I really was not that hungry to begin with and was just looking to spend some with time with one of my good friends. I’m not judging applesauce at all knowing it came out of a can bought from a grocery store but the sandwich itself was nice on its own. The Cajun chicken did pack a good amount of spice and the portion was just the right size to satisfy what little hunger I had left. However, for $ 9.71, it could have been a bit cheaper. I had no issues with the waitress or the hostess as both were friendly, attentive, and especially the waitress, were patient. I assume I got lucky here based on what I’ve seen with other people’s experiences but If I get more service like this I may just return again. To summarize it up, The Distillery is an odd mash-up of a bar that serves decent food with decent service. However, with it’s loud atmosphere and iffy design, it wasn’t worth it for me to give it another visit. If you want to try it out, your results may vary but I can still recommend this restaurant for those who just want to hang out with friends and don’t care all that much about the food to begin with.

Friendly Staff — Average food at best. The original distillery was great. Unfortunately when investors buy in and try to expand out by simply leveraging the brand if your not careful you lose something. The Wings are average at best. The Pizza seems like a frozen one you would buy for the kids. Had the deviled eggs as appetizer and of course they taste like they are full of preservatives. Agree good beer selection. Always crowded like every other place in Greece and I guess if you can fill the place with average food then why raise the bar. Maybe next time.

I have been coming to the distillery for 10 years and must say the quality has significantly worsened. I would give 2 stars but the wings, especially the garlic parm, are still very good. The veggies on the nachos were old, the Mac and cheese is awful and the service is average at best. They still can boast their wings as some of the best in town but otherwise would not recommend coming here for a real dinner.

High marks for the beer selection and bartender’s knowledge of different beer styles. The food, on the other hand, was sub par, we ordered a pizza and burrito bowl which looked good but were flawed. The pizza was overly greasy and the burrito bowl was flavorless(not an exaggeration, I swear!). Applebee’s next door may have been a been a better option, and I NEVER go there. Beer = great Food = meh

From out of town and always looking for some place different. Unilocal lead me here. A sign of a good place is how many cars are in the parking lot. It wasn’t too busy, however better than others in the area. No wait and got right in at the bar area. This was Monday evening before football kick off. Pretty good service and good food. Had the fish tacos which were a little spicy but good flavor. Came with rice and some spicy black beans. Overall pretty good. Decent beer selection too. Would recommend to those looking for a sports bar. I would go back.

The Distillery used to be one of the best go to restaurants in Greece. But I have given them one to many chances now and they are done, the food and service has gone down hill big time. I ordered Buffalo Chicken Fingers and they were over cooked and very greasy. My friend ordered Chicken Quesadillas and they were nothing but flour tortillas melted together with a little bit of cheese. Never again. Three strikes your out.

I love this place. Great food and drinks with a fun atmosphere. I have returned many times and enjoy myself every time. The bartenders and waitstaff are knowledgeable and fun for the bar atmosphere that the place is based around. There are quieter spots, but it’s more fun to be social!

The Distillery is an American-style restaurant and bar with a handful of locations in the greater Rochester area. It’s often frequented by large groups, business people, and at nights, the younger college crowd. There are plenty of big screen TVs inside with various sporting events on display. There is also outdoor seating. When I arrived, I was seated by the woman greeting customers at the entrance, and was given a peaceful location in the corner facing one of the TVs. My waitress arrived promptly and took my order. The service was good throughout, and she appeared at just the right times. I ordered a pepperoni pizza(sans cheese) and bbq wings. The pizza was of the thin-crust variety, as stated on the menu, but somewhat thinner than I was expecting(see photo). You’ll definitely want to order a side or appetizer if you get a pizza here, which will increase your costs. Still, the sauce was good and flavorful, with herbs and oregano, and the crust had a good crunch while the pie was firm and not mushy. It tasted good. The wings were decently sized and cooked properly with generously applied bbq sauce. The sauce was of the blander bbq variety, not the smokier kind like Bulls Eye, but it was still good. Overall I had a good experience and enjoyed their food.

Stopped in while in town on Business. Bartender was slow to recognize me when I sat at the bar but once he did everything was good. Ordered wings with the special G sauce and they were very good, A little sweet and a little spicy. Would stop in again next time in town

I will never eat here again. Pretty sad, considering how close it is to my house, and how often I used to come here. One night, I was very sick yet starving. I called to ask if I could get half-priced apps to go. The girl who answered said yes, and took my order. Normally, this would’ve been a $ 50 order. When I arrived, I was asked to pay full price by a different girl. In so many words, I was called a liar. The food was sitting right there, already made. I offered to sit down, re-order the food, then ask for to-go boxes. Even more insulting things were then uttered to me. Again, I was very sick and in no mood to sit in their loud establishment, and get others sick. I left with no food. They lost money. I emailed them numerous times after the incident, with zero response. Clearly, management does not care here. Never again.

Normally, I go to the Distillery with a group of friends to the Mt. Hope. We all were in the Greece area and decided to go to this one off Ridge RD West. This is definitely not the first time I’ve been to this location. First couple of times it was rocky to say the lease but since then its been much much better. Service to me is very important and i must say that this last time they went above and beyond. The food was excellent and the beers were cold. This location is going to continue be the location we all go to. Love their wings!

The worst location of the Distillery. They sent out my salmon raw. And I asked for a new piece and they clearly sent back the same one. I was so disappointed that I didn’t even eat with my family, as my meal was delayed twice. Management wasn’t friendly.

The hotel I was visiting recommended this place. My over all impression is ehhh not good. The staff is more concerned with socializing or on there phone. I sat for 15 mins at the bar before getting my own menu bc the music was so load the bartender couldn’t hear me ask for one when they went by not to mention never asked if I wanted one when I sat down. It’s like a Apple Bees with a sports theme, my he beer selection is pretty basic for a place called the distillery. Food is not that great, blackened chicken alfredo.

So years ago I would have called myself somewhat of a «regular» at this place-today, I was certainly underwhelmed! It took quite some time for a bartender to recognize that I was here. After ordering my beer, the one bartender apologized for the wait and told me that my beer would be free-which is greatly appreciated. I placed my food order and it took forever! I ordered a Rubin, once it arrived it tasted amazing! Neither of the bartenders checked in with me about my meal. Through my observation at the bar, I learned the name of one of the bartenders and I wish there was a better way to say this, but she just looked miserable. As someone who genuinely values good customer service, that really was lacking behind the bar today.

I gave this location 2 chances. I give zero stars if I could. First time the service was horriable. The watriess didn’t care unless you were ordering drinks constant. I wasn’t going to get drunk while I ate dinner. It took forever for her to come with the check. This time yet again the service was horriable and so was the food. The watriess took our order then decided to sit at the table next to us of guys for almost 15 minutes. Didn’t even out my order in. Then she left and I guess at that point put the order in. 31 mins later no drinks still the food came from another watriess. I asked for out drinks since no one seemed to come by. After a completely diffrent watriess came with out drinks. Out original watriess kept walking by the table to meet her guy friends yet again to talk with. Sitting at the table! At this point I am more annoyed then ever. We never got refills on our drinks or even more napkins. She came by with the check and we asked for the manager. She immediately told us the manager was busy. I was so disgusted with everything I paid for my bill at the bar and left. NEVER again will I ever go to the distillery.

2.5 I love when local companies become mini-franchises. I do NOT love when those companies give me nasty, soggy, sloppy, mushed pickles… :( And that’s what this place just did. So, decided to come here to meet up with my uncle today to do some catching up. Got there and grabbed us a booth while I waited. It was fairly busy and we got the last remaining booth. I hadn’t been to Distillery in a while, so I completely forgot that everything in this place was wood… so if you have a bony backside like me, you’ll be a bit uncomfortable sitting in the booths. We met our waitress and she was an absolute sweetheart. The service was great the entire time. After glancing over the menu I decided on the grilled buffalo chicken wrap tossed in garlic buffalo sauce, while my uncle got the french dip sandwich. Food was delivered quickly, and the first thing i did was try the homemade chips. as did my uncle. The looks on our faces said all that needed to be said about those… I would have better liked for them to come out with a mini-bag of lays. They tasted a bit burnt, and I tried eating several, one I actually had to break with my fingers, that’s how hard it was. On the polar opposite of crispy hard things was the pickle. If you’ve read my other reviews you’ll know that I LOVE a good pickle… well…I didn’t get that here. Instead I was given sad pickles… very sad… in fact these pickles were probably suffering depression. They were soggy, a but mushy, and honestly worst than the quality I’ve seen from McDonalds… I don’t even know how that’s possible… Either way I took a bite to see if it tasted horrible… it ended up in a napkin. It tasted like it had been sitting in a tub of dirty water or something. GROSS! The wrap itself was actually fairly decent, chicken was pretty tasty, it was well balanced between the meats, greens, and wrap, and the garlic buffalo sauce tasted great! All in all… 2.5, I can’t exactly recommend this place to anybody

I like The Distillery for last minute plans. The food is usually decent and the prices aren’t bad. The service has always been very good when I go. The Blackened Chicken Alfredo is delicious, and my dad RAVES about the Reuben. The loaded potato skins are hearty and delicious. We order them every time. In short, The Distillery is not a 5 star restaurant, but it’s great for drinks and some quick food for short notice plans.
