Sushi One

OMG — seriously, who would have thought there would be decent sushi in Greeley — (the opposite of Hawaii.) I have been coming to Sushi One for a couple years now, ever since I discovered this awesome joint back in undergrad at UNC. Sometimes, I find myself contemplating the drive all the way up there just so I can get some of their delicious food.
Sushi One is has some pretty tasty rolls to smash any sushi craving in the teeth. My ultimate, ultimate, ultimate FAVORITE roll (it’s gonna sound weird and unappetizing, but trust me on this one) is the cheesy tempura california roll! It is essentially a california roll (BORING, I know) — but get this! It is rolled in tempura batter (the entire roll) and then deep fried and covered with this oddly delicious cheesy soy sauce mixture. OMG! The roll sounds weird, but this is the roll I find myself craving the most. This place is one of the only places I have truly found deep fried sushi rolls — no, not tempura pieces inside the sushi — but the actual whole, entire roll deep fried!
If you’re looking for the more «traditional» sushi bites, they have those also, but it’s not as fun as venturing out into the more non-​traditional rolls. They also have a chicken teriyaki roll that is one of the better rolls I have had in that category. Honestly, I am a fan of every roll I have tried here. The service is always great. The food is always super fresh. And the best part is the price! Their lunch special is AMAZING — you can get two rolls for like $ 9 and three rolls for $ 11!!! Great deal.
So. the next time you are in northern colorado and craving mouth-​watering delicious sushi, consider stopping into Greeley to check this place out. I know — it sounds weird saying Greeley has some pretty delicious sushi, but have some faith and enjoy!

I went here on the recommendations of Unilocal.I thought the pricing was reasonable. I had two rolls lunch special.
I tried the baked salmon and another roll. It was not the best I ever had but it was good sushi. Service was excellent. It is a small place tucked behind a Chili’s. You can’t miss with great pricing, good sushi and great service.

So I have to give this place a review, its amazing.
Sushi One is a gem. Seriously. I am not sure if this is saying much but… its THE best Sushi I have experienced in Colorado. I even schedule my meetings in Greeley around lunch so that I can stop and have this place.
I have been to dinner there once, pretty good, one of my first sushi experiences, not sure what to expect. But I have had their lunch special well over 50 times now. Amazing.
So heres the scoop. Lunch Special, I believe running from 11−3pm. You get 3 rolls for $ 11.99 (I think, it used to be $ 10) and other specialty Nigiri for a $ 1 a piece. Very good deal! I am a HUGE fan of the Philadelphia, even though they sometimes swap the avocado with cucumber for lunch. So I get that and their Baked Salmon Roll is to die for. California roll topped with baked Salmon glazed with their special Garlic sauce which makes this place!
Totally recommend it if you’re in Greeley some time!
