Not authentic Chinese food by any means but always good with great fresh vegetables, good meat and awesome soup. The lunches are fantastic! Much better than any other Chinese restaurant in Green Bay.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the Greater Green Bay Area. Lunch specials are super fresh and fast. Dinner is an entirely different and thoughtful experience. I recommend the walnut shrimp and pupu platter appetizer.

An excellent evening here! Great value of food for the money. Very tasty — obviously homemade items — eggroll was flaky not greasy. Sauces were just right. Server was very attentive. This was our first visit but not our last! New favorite!

Very disappointed. The Lo Mein noodles are just spaghetti noodles and the General Tso’s was just sweet and sour chicken with a little spice added.

Had eggrolls– very average at best– asked for won ton soup and waitress says ‘oh, we only serve soup for 2 or 4 people. I looked at her & smiled thinking she was just kidding but alas, they don’t offer a single portion size! Amazing. I went ahead and ordered the portion for 2 and when she brought out the oversize bowl, i started to look for won tons and there were 6 tiny won tons buried in the huge broth bowl. There were some other items in the soup that tasted ok but that ‘portion-for-2′ was actually barely a portion for 1 based on the won ton size but at 4.95. The entrée of Schewan Shrimp was decent but not anything worth coming back for. In all, i would not recommend this place to anyone that has been to any mid-size city that has chinese restaurant offerings, let alone large cities that offer excellent chinse restaurants as this place does NOT hold a candle to them!

Highly overrated. Anyone that thinks this is awesome or great Chinese I would be very suspect of their recommendations. They up charge for everything(asked for extra spicy, charged me $ 1 and didn’t tell me when I asked.) Only have one soup choice for lunch specials. Food and service are average at best. Décor/ambiance is outdated. Chef Chu’s less than a mile away is a much better option. I won’t be coming back.

Great service. Best Chinese restaurant in Green Bay! We went there for the first time on Friday night. I had the Shrimp with Garlic sauce and my husband and I shared a Pu-Pu platter. It was wonderful.

The food really wasn’t anything to write home about. Pretty average and standard, nothing spectacular. However the service was great. Very pleasant and friendly and accommodating of my special dietary needs. Also the food was served exceptionally quickly. Based on the service alone I’ll probably go back to try something else.

We moved to Green Bay recently and have tried a couple of other chinese restaurants that were really bad. I was beginning to wonder if that was par for the area. Then, I came into this place for lunch today! Great service, great food, great value. Had the tea, eggdrop soup(best I have ever had) hunan beef, crab rangoon and fried rice. All inclusive lunch price of $ 8.25 with enough for lunch tomorrow. I will be back!

I moved to WI4 years ago from Southern California. I tried several chinese restaurants in the town I live and absolutely horrible. I happened to run into Mandarin Garden and was pleasantly suprised. Love their pork chop suey and won ton soup. Everything is very fresh and great customer service. If I am craving chinese I drive 30 minutes to GB to eat at Mandarin Garden.

I was so happy to see that Mandarin Garden was still in existence. Food was excellent and exactly the way I had remembered it(we moved away from GB16 years ago, and have now returned). Server friendly and attentive. Pot Stickers are scrumptious. My only complaint is that I cannot find their complete menu online anywhere so that ordering take-out would be easier.

Previously I wrote: «The sesame beef is one of the best Chinese dishes I have ever had. If you like Beef and Onions, you have to try it. I wanted to try the Hot & Sour Soup, but you have to order at least 2… don’t know why that is.» Well, the Mandarin replied back saying every order of the Hot & Sour soup is made fresh to order. Now I’m going to have to try it next time. Thanks!

I’ll bet this is the best Chinese place in Green Bay, because it’d be a darn good one in most towns. Went there on «date night,» dinner and a movie during a snowstorm. We really needed a good meal at that point, and this place took care of us. We were treated like regulars(of which there seem to be plenty.) We had the«favorite dinner,» one of the shared options. Egg rolls and crab Rangoon, a soup(you both have to get the same kind,) and your choice of any entrée. Sweetie had garlic chicken(I think…) and I had my standby Mongolian beef. I like it, and most places have it so it makes for a good comparison. The appetizers were good, not great; clearly made fresh, not from a box. The soup was very good– we chose wonton. She enjoyed the chicken, and I liked the beef. Portions were large enough that we had some for lunch the next day. I’ll keep this in mind for the next time I’m up.

Service was ok, food was nothing special. Wish I would have spent $ 6 at panda express instead of double at this place for inferior food. Btw don’t request to get fried rice instead of white. It will cost you $ 8

OK, NY Boy here. Yah kno, Chinatown-NYC /(Not so) Little Chinatown-Flushing. I’ve done $$$$ Chinese in Midtown & Sunday morning Dim Sum in Queens. The LAST thing I expected to find was REALLYGOOD chinese in the middle of Greenbay. Good enough to smack the snooty right out of this NY Boy. We stopped in for lunch on our way to Lambeau Field(Nephew’s the Greenbay Fan) and were pleasantly surprised. This is a family run place, with a dated, mid 70’s, décor but the service was above par. Fast, pleasant, accommodating, management & waitstaff are clearly familiar with the concept of a happy customer = a good customer. Their Lunch menu was on a Prix fixe format and I had wonton soup followed by garlic chicken with fried rice, egg roll and steamed dumplings. I’d swear the soup managed to remind me of good Matzoh ball AND Miso soups with each spoonful. The Garlic Chicken was generously stocked with nicely seasoned chicken(Lots of chinese places will overload dishes with veggies in order to save on meat), while the veggies were crisp, fresh, and well cooked. The dumplings where a little small but after all the tasty food I ended up sharing with everyone else. And the pricing? More than affordable. If ever I’m in the Greenbay area again, I’m going to make sure to stop in.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, when I happen to be in the city, and have always loved this place. Their hot and sour soup has just the right thickness and spice, and I always go through the two person bowl by myself. The garlic chicken is my usual, and I always ask them to make it spicy. The people are always friendly and welcoming and just add to the charm of this little place.

LOVE this place! The service is always pleasant and personal. The food is always top-notch. Always hot, always fresh, always flavorful. Among my favorites: Cashew Chicken, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Beef with Broccoli(I always have them add pea pods, too!). Among the appetizers: Egg rolls, crabmeat rangoons, teriyaki beef, paper-wrapped chicken. And the Egg-drop soup is amazing! I love that they don’t use as much ginger as the fast-food type Chinese restaurants in the city. To me, their food all tastes the same as a result. At Mandarin Garden, the food tastes like it should!

I have been coming to this restaurant for more then 20 years. I am pleasantly surprised that the food(over 20 years) has been sooooooo consistently good. Service is friendly and not intrusive, the food comes very fast, is piping hot, never overcooked, and always flavorful. This is my very favorite place for Chinese in the city and I love it that they don’t have a buffet.
