Amazing food, great service and a stellar ambiance! Great for a date night or even a larger business dinner!

The only thing that kept this place from getting one star was the fact that the Ahi Tuna Bites were amazing and the renovation of the space was nice. I have been here before a year ago and there was a drastic change in service. The service at the bar was slow and inattentive. Ordered a cheese plate and had to wait 5 minutes after it arrived for silverware. Then when I asked for a cheese knife was told they didn’t have cheese knives and that I could just use a butter knife. For $ 15+ for a cheese plate that is regularly on your menu you should carry the appropriate utensils. More than likely will not be coming back — there are many other places in the area that deserve better recognition.

I purchased a gift card on line for my parents in Mi. They received it right away. They really raved about the food. They said it was worth their hour drive. Reasonably priced, so they have a balance to use next time. Thank you Plae Bistro for the smooth transaction and the quality of your food and overall experience.

I wanted to try everything on the menu. I live 2.5 hours away. I think I will be visiting my son at UWGB more often.

Pro and cons — great atmosphere and food !!! Love the bar lounge area !! We had the tuna appetizer, fab … Our group had the black bean burger, buffalo burger and walleye plate — all Fantastic … I also recommend the French onion soup ! Beautiful low key lighting. Knowledgeable bartenders«Pamela and Shane«! Both very nice and helpful. Cons — the place is beautiful but a bit pretentious … Our server«Erika«- was nice but not personable at all. She never made eye contact and rushed us thru the ordering process. when she dropped the check we haven’t sorted it yet, once we left the black folder with the bill /money and our tip she grabbed it and seemed like she needed our table(we got the hint that we should leave) we wanted to stay and have a drink at the bar but there wasn’t anywhere to sit … So we all felt uncomfortable and left. We’re happy for the owner that the business is a success but feel the design could be much better to seat more guests. Overall we did like it.

Service is everything. When it is lacking, when it seems as a previous reviewer(11÷28÷15) stated it is «inattentive and unapologetic», it overshadows everything else. My wife and I were planing a lovely Saturday evening at the most talked about venue in town. She reviewed the Unilocal reviews, as well as spoke to friends. This was the place to be. Lacking reservations, we were told we could eat at the bar. We arrived, and within a reasonable time were seated at the bar. Fun, hip, vibrant atmosphere. We ordered a bottle of Scott Harvey Mountain Selection Barbera 2012. The bartender brought a bottle of Scott Harvey Zinfandel. We told him, kindly and courteously, we would prefer the Barbera, as we had ordered. The bottle had not been opened, he returned with the Barbera. No tasting, poured two glasses, walked away. I guess you should not send anything back, even if is not what you ordered. After some time, he returned to take our orders. My wife asked if she wanted her salmon blackened, she stated«absolutely not, I am sensitive to the hot spices, I cannot tolerate blackened.» While waiting, we had fresh warm rolls, a pretzel roll and a white roll, accompanied by a trio of seasoned olive oil, herbed butter, and a tampanade. All excellent. delicious. When my wife received her salmon, it was blackened. She thought it may be ok, took one bite and was in pain. Again, kindly and courteously, she requested she receive it the way she ordered it, not blackened. Thirty minutes later, the salmon had still not arrived. I notified another bartender, and within three minutes the salmon arrived. My wife was so upset at this point she sent it back, walked out. The manager ultimately came to talk to me, adjusted the bill so I did not have to pay for the salmon which was never consumed. Really– you treat us like we don’t exist, then charge us full price? I am so disappointed. Perhaps had we ordered more expensive entrees, more pricey bottles of wine, drank more cocktails we would have been treated better?

A very hidden gem. The mall looks abandoned but this is a great stop for us on the way to upper Michigan from Milwaukee. Sophisticated menu executed well. Lots of food. We all had burgers for lunch and they were very good. Staff was friendly and bathroom was clean.

Of course, I always Unilocal restaurants when traveling. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites — Green Bay East, and this restaurant was a 2 minute walk across the street. Seeing it has pretty much 5 stars, and the menu was decently priced, I decided to have dinner there. Ambiance: Wow! Nice, dimly lit areas with a center fireplace for waiting while tables get freed up, lots of tables and booths, and two seaters(for people who travel). Christmas is next week, so it was decorated tastefully with a modern touch. I was a walk in and they had a table immediately ready for me to sit down at. There was, however a 20 minute wait time for bigger parties — hence the properly placed fireplace waiting area. There was an influx of women dining and wining here. I mean this place was PACKED a few moments after I sat down. My waitress, Cindy(or Cindee, Cindi, Cyndee — spelling doesn’t matter when it’s the same name) promptly served me and asked what if I would like a drink to start off with. I chose the house cabernet, and ordered right away since I already saw the menu posted here, on Unilocal. Food: I ordered the blackened ahi tuna appetizer, tomato bisque soup, and ahi tuna salad. Complimentary bread came out with 3 sides: garlic butter, olive oil, and their house tapenade. The best one was the tapenade, with the right mix of seasoning, oil, and choice of olives. Next came out the blackened ahi tuna appetizer. The tuna was decently fresh(for being so inland from a coast), and the blackened outer had the right mix of pepper and salt. This is a must try! The plate comes plated with house-made horseradish and a perfectly sweet sauce decorated on the plate. Underneath the tuna was sweet tomatoes and ripe avocados. Also, the tapenade makes a great spread on the tuna. The tomato bisque is a proper one. Not to tangy, not too salty. The ahi tuna salad was excellent as well. I added more of the tapenade onto the tuna because why not? The salad had mixed leafs, and right amounts of chopped mango, goat cheese(?), and a sweet and tart dressing. Two glasses of their house wine later, I’m writing this review, with the intent of dining here again, tomorrow night!

Since I first discovered it, I have visited Plae Bistro on every trip to Green Bay. The food is consistently well executed and the service is always friendly. I’m a big fan of the roll served before the meal with a tapenade, herb butter, and herb infused olive oil. For the main course, I have been tending towards fish dishes like the pan seared salmon and pecan encrusted walleye. I have also lucked out with an excellent Chilean sea bass on the featured menu which changes daily. An added perk of dining at Plae Bistro is the free glass of house wine with Unilocal check in. Check-ins must not be too common here as my servers never seem to know about the Unilocal offer. However, they have always honored it. Plae Bistro is probably not a suitable choice if you are looking for Wisconsin staples like cheese curds, but it’s the best dining I found so far in Green Bay.

Every time I go here I make a reservation. Every time it takes 45 minutes to get seated. The service is inattentive and unapologetic. However that said the food is great. The Buffalo Burger is my favorite. And the small plates are great if you’re with a group. I recommend the marinara and goat cheese dip. The new renovation adds seating but keeps the small-place feel. Great food, below average service.

I am visiting from SF, California where all good restaurants are. High competition for restaurants. I wasn’t expecting that I would be able to find a place to enjoy good food in Oneida, WI. I was wrong. I Unilocaled and found this place. So yum. The scallop and sea bass are absolutely a must try. Love the décor as well!

After a long day touring Lambeau Stadium and Hall of Fame, I found this little jem on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. We found out when we arrived that they had just remodeled and you can tell-it’s beautiful! We were starving and first ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip(OMGYUMMM!) It puts a new definition to what this dip should taste like. As i munched on quite possibly the best dip i’ve ever had I looked over the eclectic options of burgers they offered and have never felt so torn. I settled on their Buffalo Burger which was SOOOO tasty! I am not sure if they make anything other than beyond amazing food. The burgers are a bit more expensive than I expected, but wellllll worth it! If you love to try new things and burgers– You HAVE to try this!!!

Grilled fig panini with turkey… my god. That is one of the most awesome lunches I have had anywhere. I always go back to it. Wife and daughter love the grilled pear and apple salad. The menu is delicious, and warm fall days are still great on the patio. So glad Plae has attracted enough regulars to stay open.

This was my second visit to Plae Bistro. Both the service and food are excellent. Tonight it was busy. If we hadn’t snagged a couple of seats at the bar, we would have waited about 20 minutes for a table — and it would have been worth it. The crowd at the bar was lively and well served by the staff. They are knowledgeable and quick. They also knew quite a few regulars and spent time chatting with them as they could. Drink service at the bar is excellent. Many of their cocktails are individually homemade. Their house wines are Salmon Creek. I enjoyed the Cabernet, and my companion loved the Pinot Grigio. Bread service tonight was a rustic white and a pretzel style. It included herb butter, flavored olive oil, and an olive tapenade. The butter was good, but a little cool for easy spreading. The oil and tapenade were excellent. Both were richly flavored and mild, not biting. The tapenade had just the right amount of salt. The cheddar cauliflower soup was perfect for today’s cooler weather. It was rich with cheese, and the cauliflower was blended in developing a balanced texture that wasn’t too rich. We shared the marinara goat cheese brulee as we waited for our main courses. The goat cheese and marinara sauce were excellent. I would have enjoyed a bit less sauce as it sometimes drowned out the rich tangy flavor of the cheese. The portion size was plentiful, more than enough to round a meal of salads for two people. My companion enjoyed her caprese with heirloom tomatoes and a scallop. For me, the ahi tuna was excellent. The tuna was seasoned well, but the spices didn’t overpower the meat, which was perfectly cooked to rare. The combination of mango, pickled onions, avocado, feta, and jicama with the meat and salad greens was perfect. The wasabi vinaigrette had just a slight kick and melded all the flavors together. I don’t go for dessert very often, but the food here was so good that I couldn’t resist. My companion and I split a typical Midwestern«better than sex» cake, which was just decadent enough to tie up this meal without ruining it. Plae Bistro doesn’t serve the food I typically think of in Green Bay, but they have enough cheese in the menu to remind you that you haven’t left Wisconsin. The menu is full of excellent choices from lighter salads to full on dinners for die-hard carnivores. Many of the dishes contain local ingredients and interesting combinations that make this a great place to check out if you are visiting Packer Stadium for a game or a tour.

We stopped here on our way up to Door County since it had a high rating, but this place is way overrated. The sirloin sandwich was greasy, the Cesar salad had lettuce with no crunch, and the portobello slider was overpowered by a way too garlicy mayonnaise and had a limp, under-toasted bun. The tomato bisque was the only decent thing we tried. Overpriced as well. $ 34 for lunch for two. The décor was nice, service was good, and our food was ready quickly. It was not terrible food, but definitely not worth the prices or deserving of a 4.5 star rating.

Plae bistro came highly recommended to try since they have gluten free items on the menu. Our party decided to give it a try. Located near a Bellevue office park(near Costco), our party made the trip over after a canoeing adventure at Wolf river. Service was so so considering they were not busy and it was a very late lunch. The food however was delicious. I was able to sample a little bit of the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup, Mac and cheese with chicken and bacon, and had the wagyu burger. Wagyu burger was served with caramelized onions and a pretzel bun. This burger was out of this world. I ate the entire thing, unapologetically. :) If you’re in town, a definite good place.

Started off with some delicious bread, with a fancy olive tampenade, fancy delicious butter, and a fancy olive oil all delicious! Started with a recommendation of the Tuna Bites(blackened). WHOA. Comes with Avocado, tomato, and a wasabi aioli. Then had the Plae Burger with chips and salsa. Good smoky burger, cooked to perfection, with tons of food. AWESOMEFIND!

This place is amazing! Got here for a friend’s wedding and had lunch at this bistro. The place was a little pricey but it was worth it for the tastes they have. Go give it a try! I ordered the lunch combo with soup of the moment, being clam chowder, a slider, and the dessert of the moment, which was rum cake and it was the BOMB!!! All of my friends were the fan of the onion soup and that blew my taste buds as well. Pretty much a blown out experience, in an awesome way though. Go! Go eat there!
