This is what breakfast should be. Love the benedict options. My favorite is the huevos rancheros which is believe is one of the best around. Good chicken fry and pancakes too.

This place has good food and a nice atmosphere. If it’s nice outside you can sit on the patio and enjoy the view of the pond. I would give it more stars but the price of breakfast was kinda of high.

I used to cook here back in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Went back last year and the new owner Ben took me on a tour of the kitchen. With few exceptions it was one of the bigger Deja’ Vu moments I’ve ever had. Very few changes, including the excellent food and updated menu. Whenever I travel Ute Pass the pantry is a must stop.

Cute grandma’s diner on side of the mountain! Kiddos looooooved the yummy hot chocolate and although we didn’t order one, the cinnamon rolls looked fantastic! Half the table ordered breakfast omelette and all came out cooked to perfection! I had a chicken sandwich with a side of slaw… yummy! I’m picky about my coleslaw and this was flavored just right and the creamy sauce was just the right consistency. Wait staff was so friendly and we enjoyed petting the huge pet cat that resides at a small store a couple doors down.

Loved this special find! The food was absolutely delicious and at such an affordable price. The staff was very kind and everything came out perfectly. The only downside to this place is the small size. This made so that my family had to split up between tables after a 30 minute wait. However, the wait was definitely worth it. I’ll be sure to come back next time I’m near Cascade!

Really great food. Nice and cozy inside. Friendly staff. I love a breakfast place that keeps your coffee full. Prices and portions were reasonable.

The breakfast food and location were excellent but the kitchen was very slow(we are talking close to 40 min wait to get our breakfast) and the restaurant itself was dirty. They turned a fan on and dust balls started flying everywhere, including a customer s food. The cobwebs were everywhere and the floor was pretty messy. Still, the location was excellent and if you can get a table outside you would probably appreciate more the experience. Also, outside courtyard seemed to be dog-friendly which is always a plus.

Wow. It’s not often I’m lead astray by fellow Unilocalers but this place didn’t live up to its rating. We wanted to sit outside, which proved to be a challenge. When we were finally seated, the waitress didn’t come by for at least 10 min. She finally made an appearance and took our order. She didn’t return for a full 30 minutes, to bring us our food. Never came by to offer a refill or anything. A family seated at the table next to us ended up leaving because after the waitress took our order she never came back outside. There was one stand out here and that was the teenage bus boy. He was working harder than anyone else in the place! We gave him the tip. This kid deserves a raise, and for Petes sake get him a bussing tray. Tables will be cleared much faster and in one trip instead of the kid making multiple trips hands loaded with everything he can carry. We thought since the service was so awful the food must be phenomenal to have such a high Unilocal rating. Nope. Completely mediocre average food. Nothing special or outstanding. I had the«crab» and avocado salad. Nice mix of greens but there was just a small bit of «crab» and about ¼ of an avocado. Since they were using imitation crab I was expecting 2 – 3 ounces of crab, it was 1 ounce at most. Hubby had the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. The fried chicken was«fine» but he wondered if they were using baby chickens because the pieces were so small. The mashed potatoes were good, chunky and buttery. Green beans were canned with some onion, salt and pepper added in. Overall a big disappointment. Wondering if you need to be a regular to get decent service? And who left all the 5 star Unilocal reviews, staff?

I absolutely, positively freaking LOVE this place! I’m from Houston, but I visit Colorado several times a year for«business»(I’m a racing driver and owner of a shop/racing team that races the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb). I first visited the area in early 2012, and one of the first places I discovered(thanks to Unilocal!,actually) was the Pantry Restaurant — our primary quest that day was to find somewhere close that served mimosas. Not only does Pantry have awesome mimosas, the rest of their menu is absolutely WONDERFUL! If I have ANY complaints, it’s that there are too many awesome things on the menu and my stomach doesn’t have room for all of them! Their cinnamon raisin toast is unquestionably phenomenal, and should be had with anything you order. I’m also a fan of their country potatoes; the chicken fried steak or the french toast cinnamon roll are amazing as well! The staff is great as well, over the several times I’ve visited over the last few years I don’t think I’ve had a single complaint or grievance. I will admit that the service here isn’t the quickest or fastest, but this isn’t exactly that sort of establishment — the wait time is appropriate for dishes that they aren’t just thawing out, throwing in a bag, and handing to you through the drive-up window… and even if you do perceive the wait time as a bit longer than you’d like, the food will ALWAYS be worth it! It’s a shame that nowadays some folks expect the absolute best meal cooked-to-order just how you want it to be ready within seconds of you ordering it. Worst case, if your meal does take a bit longer to make it out than you expected, just get another cup of coffee or order another mimosa and enjoy the absolutely incredible scenery and environment for a few more minutes! Pantry Restaurant is absolutely the bee’s knees!

This is one of my most favorite places. As a child, I would come here with my grandparents every summer. We stayed at the Falls motel and ate breakfast there almost every morning. As I grew up, I still came with my grandparents, boyfriend, husband, now my family. We return every year on our way to the Fireworks softball tournament in Denver. There is not a bad thing on the menu. This morning my daughter had the fluffy pancakes — these are always so good. If you’re really hungry get the«mother lode» — it’s a huge pancake as big as a platter. My husband had a breakfast burrito — the chile is to die for. But one of my favorites is the cinnamon roll French toast. Heaven! Usually I get something so I can have some of their homemade bread but I couldn’t pass up one of their soft delicious homemade cinnamon rolls. Coffee… Is sooooooo good too! You can sit outside and enjoy a beautiful day with breathtaking views or inside. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and inviting. There was no wait to be seated nor to receive our food. The food and atmosphere are spectacular. It’s a must if you are in the Colorado Springs area.

We’re trying to become regulars here as we have enjoyed every visit we have had. I regularly enjoy one of the available benedicts and have also enjoyed their take on biscuits and sausage gravy with potatoes.

Great service, hidden from main hwy. Took recommendation and ordered the cinnamon french toast and purchased a loaf of the raisin bread to enjoy at home in California. I’ll be back. Givin this 4 out of 5 forks!

It has been a while since we have been up here and we are happy we went back. Their food is really good country style cooking but great combo’s. Their french toast hybrid cinnamon rolls are to die for. The only issue with this place is how small it is but in all honestly if it was any bigger than you would be fighting a bigger crowd to get into it. Today I tried something different ordered the Country Fried Steak with sunny side up eggs. It was a great combo that made it worth going out in the crappy weather today to eat it. One thing if you are in a rush then don’t come here, but if you want some good comfort food and have a little time it is worth stopping here. Oh and the quickest way into Green Mountain Falls is to take the last left hand turn before Woodland park. Not at The Wines of Colorado or the next Green Mountain Falls sign, you want the third sign. Enjoy.

The food was great I’ve eaten here before, and wanted to go back. We went on a Saturday morning the place was busy but not overly crowded so we were fortunate to get seated right away. 1 ½ hrs later when our food finally came out it was great there’s no excuses for food taking that long and I’m not exaggerating on the time It was tolerable because of the beautiful setting in the mountains we did enjoy the food and the staff was friendly,

I would give the restaurant 4.5 stars for the food. I loved every bite of my cinnamon roll french toast with scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns– everything was cooked perfectly and it was really delicious. My husband enjoyed his huevos rancheros. Our friend ordered an omelette and said it was super greasy and had very little bacon; she was disappointed and usually she is a huge fan of this restaurant and was really excited to share it with us. I would give the restaurant 2 stars(maybe less) for the service for the day we were there. From the time we put our name in to the time we were seated it was a two hour wait until we ordered on a Sunday morning(though it was supposed to be a half hour wait and there weren’t that many people waiting!). We had to keep checking if a table was ready and at one point they took us in to seat us and then said they couldn’t seat us and we had to go back out and wait even longer. The children we were with were so hungry and getting impatient. The people working seemed very stressed out and kind of angry at each other which felt a little uncomfortable. Fortunately they have coloring books and crayons for children while you wait at your table, and a beautiful park to play in next door while you wait for your turn for a table. We’ll give this place another try because it has a great reputation and I loved my meal, but hopefully the service will be much better in the future.

Drove up from the Springs because of the rave reviews. Food was decent, French toast cinnamon roll was raved about in other reviews but didn’t taste much different than Wal Mart cinnamon roll dipped in an egg and fried and the Hashbrowns were overcooked. Finally fond this al out after 30 minutes of waiting for our food. My fiancé said the food was decent but the whole experience sucked. We won’t be returning.

As Olympic gold medalist Greg Rutherford could probably cover the entirety of Green Mountain Falls in a single bound, the Pantry Restaurant may indeed be the best joint in town. Certainly, the food was pretty solid. I had a patty melt, which was for the most part A-OK(with a special shoutout to the housemade bread). I can’t remember much about the accompanying fries, which probably says a lot. What I failed to witness was the stellar service everyone talks about on here. It wasn’t terrible, to be sure… and it definitely wasn’t slow. In fact, it was almost the opposite… the pace of our meal was borderline rushed, even though the place was only about half full. When I inquired a second time about a straw for my glass of water, the waitress actually slammed a straw directly into my glass of water, generating(I’m not kidding) a small splash. Fortunately, I recognize that food is criteria #1, so I have no qualms dishing out three stars here.

This is a favorite for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The prices are more than reasonable and the food is so fresh! They make their own bread. I had the Patty Melt… perfect! We also had French toast and French dip… what better than to sit by the lake, enjoy all the different languages being spoken right in your own back yard.

The food was the very finest hole in the wall diner fare I have ever tasted! Delicious chicken salad with first rate ingredients, amazing cinnamon roll and the mother lode pancake challenge was quite fun, too! As a full-blown coffee snob, I enjoyed their coffee, as well, and the service was impeccable! The town is only a short ways off the beaten path. If you are in the area, don’t miss the chance to stop in for breakfast or lunch… But bring your appetite if you want to earn that free mother lode pancake!
