Sandwich counter is a joke. Ordered boars head American sub. After waiting 10mins. Lady says she has to slice it. Ok. After another 5 mins she comes back to counter with 1 slice of Bologna, 2 slices of roast beef, 1 slice of ham, mind you the slices were as thin as toilet paper. I asked if that was it? She said would you want double meat? «Really!» I replied no and I don’t want that either. I had to leave. Now my questions to the management. Aren’t they pre sliced and weighed ? Why do you put a bag lady to cover behind the sandwich counter? Who’s minding the store? God, such incompetence. Will never set foot in this store again, thank God I only work up here and not live here.

Four people behind the counter at the pharmacy and only one is willing to help the customers. This is getting stupid. Three people working in the pharmacy, when I walked up there were two people already in line. It took nearly two minutes after my arrival for the pharmacists to talk to the first person in line. I have only had this issue with one person behind the pharmacy counter, I am not sure what was more important for three pharmacists to ignore customers.

Expensive, and the vegetables are not fresh sometimes. Where is that costco?

I love publix! It’s my go-to store whenever I need anything. Great deals all the time and great employees. My boyfriend and I go to publix for lunch all the time, and we recently found out we can order subs online! If you haven’t been to the deli for Boar’s head meats or subs, I highly recommend. Their ingredients are always fresh and their prices are reasonable. The chicken tender sub is a popular choice and they also have tuna. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu

Stopped in for a small bowl of fruit tonight. You know, those little plastic bowls of healthy, unprocessed nutrition that taste great? So I’m checking out and… 1) the cashier looks at me, smiles and says«hello». I wish I had gotten her name but she had long dark hair and may have been Hawaiian or something. 2) then the bag boy says«hey, those are 2 for 1 today, can I go get you another one?» I said SURE! Again, I wish I had gotten his name. Wow! Thanks folks ! I left feeling«catered to» YOU make the store great!!!

It is what it is. Kind of a ghetto neighborhood, and it shows in their product selection. Its fine if you need to pick up this or that, but there are way way way nicer Publix a few miles away in Wellington. Surly produce clerk practically growled at me last night, and there was a drunk guy with facial tattoos buying cigs. Pretty sad place.

Living in West Palm Beach for over 20 years has given me the opportunity to share with you my native opinion about this particular Publix grocery store. I’ve been going to this Publix since I was about 10 years old(hope that doesn’t age you!) and I have never had a bad experience once. I’ve used their bakery for birthday cakes(my mother used them for her wedding cake — it was amazing!), ordered countless submarine sandwiches from the deli(delicious and you can be creative), and utilized their pharmacy for prescriptions. The staff is accomodating, friendly, and I feel very welcome when I’m inside the store. No funny smells or bad ventilation; always clean and bright. If you’re in the area, stop in and look around for the free food samples(they have them frequently!) and try a sub, or pick up a bottle of wine for a very fair price.

This is less a review for a grocery(which admittedly, is an amazing grocery store. It’s clean, competitively priced with a friendly staff and the only place my mom will ever shop) and more a review for the much adored Publix sub. As a girl who loves sandwiches, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention one of the true loves of my life — the Publix sub. I know what you’re thinking. It’s a sub from a grocery store deli — how good can it be? It’s good. Really good and seriously dude, maybe you should stop being such a judgmental jerk when it comes to sandwiches because you’re missing out on something pretty fantastic here. The multigrain bread is hearty and comes dotted with seeds and grains, the veggies are crisp, crunchy and fresh, the condiments are applied with an expert hand(using the Goldilocks principle of not too much, not too little, just right) and best of all — you can pick any cheese in the deli case. Meaning if this girl wants a sub with smoked provolone, tomatoes, onions and spicy mustard? The fine folks at Publix make it happen. Since I’m not a carnivore, I can’t speak about the meat but from what I’ve seen — the Italian subs look pretty good and I’ve heard nothing but praise for their Cuban subs. Add Dirty Chips and a drink and you’ve got a substantial and delicious meal for less than $ 10. To co-opt the words of Skynyrd, I’m a simple kind of girl. Give me a Publix sub, a warm sunny day and some good music and well, that’s about as good as life gets.
