Wow. Best customer service I’ve had in a while! I called to ask if they had a wet suit that would fit my daughter for an upcoming kayak trip and they were very friendly and helpful on the phone. When I went down to the store an hour later the guy working there had already pulled several for us to look at and talked us through the choice. We got exactly what we needed in no time, even though we weren’t really sure what we were looking for. This place is clearly geared towards folks who are very serious about their sport, but they treated us civilians with lots of kindness and respect. Thanks.

I know the staff here well. They know what theyre doing and quality of performance matters to them. Ive always had excellent service here and enjoy my time in the shop. Michelle C and Patrick R; perhaps if your respective IQs weren’t equal to those of primates, you could handle your own issues more directly. Fortunately, you’ll likely be extinct soon along with the other lesser species

I bought 3 kites in Live2kite. Gerrit is very friendly and an expert. Made some questions about the kite spot, my personal info to give advice of the best kite/board for me. They also have a very fast shipping. My 1st kite was shipped in the same day.

I bought a brand new Underground Kiteboard from them for a trip to Mexico. Upon assembling the board the inserts moved and caused a bulge on the bottom of the board. When I came back from our trip I explained what had happened. I was assured a warranty would be handled… Within a day they started blaming me. I re-explained the situation and asked that they provide a warranty card or any warranty information from Underground. They said Underground handles warranty directly(there in Australia). Low and behold after a couple of weeks Adrian at Underground blamed me for mis-assembling the board and stated that there was no way there product could be faulty. No way, Really? I emailed Underground directly, and no response on several attempts. Live2Kite acts as a type of distributor or sales channel through there parent company Deep Blue Sports. So its a little discerning that they weren’t able to handle the warranty direclty let alone even be able to provide warranty information. Especially after I got an email from the owner directly assuring me he would take care of me. Well in the end, all they offered me was 35% of my next purchase on RRD, Underground or Mystic all brands that they are distributors for. I’m giving them 2 stars since they did send me my board back with no shipping charges.

Maybe these guys are great in person, but they have no idea how to conduct ecommerce. I ordered part of my bro-in-law’s xmas present frome these guys(the other part was contingent on what I ordered from Kite2Live). The items showed available, they processed my order, sent me a confirmation and then later write to tell me that they didn’t have the items I ordered, did I want something else and Happy Holidays. So now I’m going have to find another store that carries what I need and pay rush charges to get the gift to WI because these geniuses can’t deliver on a service they offer. If you can’t handle inventory in real time you have no business doing ecommerce. It’s 2010, not 1995. They wrote to tell me that they update their inventory hourly. Well clearly, that doesn’t work, huh guys?

This was my second trip to their Greenbrae store. The first trip I was shopping for a new kiteboarding impact vest. This second trip I was shopping for a new harness. I love my Mystic Impact Vest, it is awesome and even more… I love my new Maui Magic Harness. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable about the products that they carry and all of the local kiteboarding spots. They have a huge stock, so they will most likely carry the size and color of the products you are looking for. The staff spent over an hour with me while I tried different harnesses… until I found that perfect one. A bit of a drive from the Peninsula, but well worth it. Prices are fair, parking is easy.

This store carries some of the best quality kiteboarding gear. They have Mystic kiteboarding wetsuits, booties, harnesses, kites, pumps, boards, mountain boards, wind meter, kite bar, lines, and more. Pretty much everything you need for kiteboarding. Besides their awesome selection of equipment, they have some great deals on last season’s stuff. Check it out on the Live2kite website. The guys that work here really know their stuff inside and out. They explain everything in great detail. Sometimes so much detail I don’t even understand what they are talking about! But that’s great because not only are you getting a great deal/purchase, you’re getting valuable knowledge on what you’re purchasing. Everytime I go there, I plan on getting the more affordable stuff but they explain the features behind the higher end products that I just end up getting them. I don’t feel suckered in and I’m actually really happy about my purchases. They spend time to make sure you’re completely satisfied and give honest opinions. I felt really comfortable with them and they don’t come off like they are trying to get your money. 5 stars hands down!

Live2Kite is a retail store but also a thriving internet business, which is nice because it means that they are open year ’round instead of closing in the off season. They can get any equipment you want, but they focus on stocking the equipment that they have ridden and like(RRD and Slingshot at the moment). I went to the store for the first time yesterday, and Garrett spent an hour with me going over gear options with me(I am not that experienced). It was a very good experience and nice to get that kind of service even when I am not purchasing something. Garrett was knowledgeable and gave honest opinions on gear that they carry and don’t carry(eg. which models have not changed much for 2009, so I should buy discounted 2008 versions instead). In addition to kitesurfing /kiteboarding gear, they also stock windsurfing and stand up paddling gear.
