I wish I could give 0 stars. My heat pump was acting funny, I had a local company come look at it. When it was found that I needed major repairs I was lucky enough to have a home warranty and called the warranty company. They sent one of their contractors out, Thompson’s Mechanical. The google reviews were awful, but I figured with the warranty I wouldn’t have many options. Scott told me he couldn’t find anything wrong, then after I told him what the previous company said, he told me that I needed a new unit and that it would not be covered by my home warranty, a $ 4000 discrepancy from the what the last company told me. I called the next day to follow up and see if he had submitted the claim. He told me that he hadn’t come out to my house(at all) but that he’d schedule. Mind you this was after I spent over an hour with him at my home the day before, the last customer of the day. Upon hearing this he said he hadn’t written anything down at all and he’d need to come back. I immediately called the warranty company to see of they could send someone else out. Thankfully the next day Stewart Enterprises arrived to save the day! He confirmed what I was told by the original company, told me someone had disconnected my emergency heat which he repaired on the spot, and that repairs would covered by my home warranty and probably still under the manufacturer’s warranty as well. When I told him my experience with Thompson’s mechanical he told me that he was clearly trying to take advantage of me and laughed at his prices. So, if you want an honest, knowledgeable HVAC company call Stewart’s Enterprise at(615) 832‑9984.
