LaRosa’s Pizzeria

Often busy because the theater is so close. The food is about always the same. The service is very hit or miss. I still come here but with lower expectations than I use to have…

We went on Mother’s Day and they said it would take 30 minutes to feed us so instead of sitting down I ordered my food because they said it would take 20 minutes to get. 40 minutes later after ordering my food I went up to the counter to find out what was taking so long. That’s a long time to wait for your order. I ended up getting my order in over twice the time that they said I would get it.
The other problem was the size of the portions. Which I did see on Unilocal that their prices are expensive and the portions are small. That is true. The portions are extremely small. You hardly get any french fries or homemade potato chips and the calzone is very small and the hoagies are way too small. I feel bad for my kids because they’re still hungry.
Also the french fries were cold and homemade fries or potato chips were also. The problem with that is I got the food supposedly when it came out so how could it be cold? Will that comes down to people who do not know how to cook food keep it coming out at the same time.
Not sure if that last paragraph than any sense?
Would I return? Yes, I would return. Why? Because the hoagies were very very tasty. Everyone of us that got one really liked them. But I would choose to call in an order my food. And I would have to order more hoagies then there are people just to fill us all. I would not waste the money for a meal that comes with chips or fries because they are cold and old anyway. And the amount you get is laughable. Not much on the plate.

I came here after my movie and it was horrible! First off it wasn’t busy and we got sat by a huge party with screaming children. The service was even worse it was obvious that she was overloaded and showed it. She brought our drinks after 15 minutes and took our order. About 20 minutes later the pizza came out, my friend got up and got our plates! Because our waitress disappeared! I will never come back!

Thin crust Focaccia sauce. It was a good pizza. The 2 buck import beer special didn’t hurt either.

Even though our food came out relatively quickly, food quality was not there. The antipasti salad was just thrown together with a lot of cheese and croutons. We also got some boneless wings in various flavours, but they were mediocre at best. We took the « Unilocal advice» and went with the Rondos, skipping the pizza. They were pretty good, but not enough to convince to come back.

Delivery service was quick, but the pizza was disgusting. The rondos, on the other hand, I could eat all day! Try those instead.

I was disappointed with my last visit to LaRosa’s. Service was so slow, we sat there for over 15 minutes without being served, so we left. The restaurant was not crowded, so I did not understand this lack of attention to service.
