Truly the best donuts in the world. Super soft, fresh and delicious. You can tell too that each is made with care and are of high quality. Look and taste like donuts you would pay 3 times the price for at a high end bakery. Everyone who has had them at my home has said they were the best they have ever tasted.

Amazing fresh big donuts. That buttercrunch one tho. Awesome folks behind the counters, too.

Adams Donut is a local icon of Greenfield, Massachusetts. You will always find a wide variety of huge, delicious donuts. There’s nothing better than the feel of a homemade classic. This old fashioned counter top eatery is one of a kind!

A great place to drop in for a quick breakfast sandwich or a bagel in the morning. Their donuts and bagels are made fresh every morning and beat what you get at any of the chain locations. Make sure you arrive early they open at 5 am mon-sat they sometimes run out of the best stuff.

Delicious. Their donuts are literally to die for. The maple cream donuts are unbelievably good. Their hours are odd(5a-12p) every day but Sunday(closed) but you can order ahead if you are afraid they will run out. I am sort of a donut expert… This place rocks my world. Breakfast sandwiches are unmemorable but donuts are the stuff dreams are made of. Coffee is not bad, but I am a coffee snob. Sometimes there’s a little bit of a wait, but my eyes remain on the(soft, fluffy and sweet) prize(s).

The donuts here are really fantastic. The maple glazed and Boston Cream are my favorite. You have to get there early though, because they sell out quick and they close early.

This place is great. It’s the only place around that’s open so early(that’s not a fast food restaurant). Great to stop in and pick up a quick breakfast before a few hours on the road for a day trip. They might only have American cheese for their breakfast sandwiches, but they make them hot on the grill while you watch. They have a great breakfast special, sandwich and coffee for $ 5 if I remember correctly. If you’re sticking around, the seating is classic diner and very communal. Its a lovely place to sit and chat and appreciate the vintage feel. Definitely recommended.

If you are tired of the big chain donut shops and are looking for a local place to stop, then Adam’s is the place to go. This little donut shop is the epitome of home style baking and small town charm. The selection of donuts is phenomenal, and the wait staff is incredibly welcoming. Not a place to miss when in Greenfield.

They make fantastic two-egg breakfast sandwiches, made to order quickly(on the grill, not microwaved), and they’re open early! Coffee is hot and decent(iced coffee is also pretty good). Donuts — meh? They’re ok, a little heavy. The flavored sugar frosting(maple, chocolate, etc.) you can really taste the powdered sugar or something but not much flavor. Service is always prompt, efficient and welcoming — it’s a small place with a counter area to pull up a seat, there always seem to be a group of ‘regulars’ there making for a friendly atmosphere. On the Unilocal map it’s been showing up in wrong places, but it’s located on the west side of Federal St north of Cleveland St.

Adams donuts are the best. There is nothing as good as their cinnamon crueler with a hot cup of coffee. Dee-licious!

This is a great old fashion donut shop with large assortment of donuts. They also have some other baked goods and pastry. The product is excellent quality and tasting. The atmosphere is nostalgic and has true classic New England feel and family run. The hours can be tough it is basicly morning only. A morning in Greenfield is not complete without a Adams donut!!!

I recently moved back to Greenfield after many years of living in many places and, surprise! Adam’s Donut Shop was still there. I think they used to fry in lard many years ago and wish they’d go back to that. The flavor was really top-notch. It’s certainly better than the vegetable oils that are used now everywhere. It’s very homey and feels like neighbors visiting each other. I wish it was open a few more hours later in the day; I never think of going there in the morning. I wish them continued success especially given that the chain store now has two places in Greenfield… really? What’s up with that?

I opened up Unilocal and saw that someone had just reviewed Adam’s Donut Shop and gave it 5 stars. I was on my way from Connecticut to New Hampshire and was traveling through Greenfield so I thought I would check it out. Unfortunately, I got there at 12:30 and they were closed. There were several people working there and I convinced them to let me in and get a couple of donuts. I got two sour cream donuts. They were very friendly and said if I were coming through and was going to be there after noon, I could just let them know and they would save some donuts for me. It was probably the best donut I’ve ever eaten and I live in Wallingford and have access to Neil’s Donuts which are pretty good. The donut was still warm and I bit through the delicate crust to find a soft delicious donut center. Yum! I’ll stop by on the way back to CT. My wife ate the other donut and agreed. It’s funny that Dunkin Donuts is less than a quarter mile from Adams. This donut was so good, I had to make my first Unilocal review.

They just don’t make donuts like this anymore. By «they» I mean Dunkin.’ Good to see a local donut shop still holding its own on account of its quality, in an age where brand name recognition means that a product does not actually have to be good but the masses will buy it anyway(perfect example of that is Dunkin in fact). Adam’s makes top notch donuts in-shop. Give it a try! You’ll never want a stale Dunkin warehouse donut ever again. Fantastic maple frosted and blueberry glazed. Just a couple of their many varieties!

We stopped by Adam’s Donut Shop for the first time this past Saturday and were pleasantly surprised. My two children got chocolate covered sprinkle donuts and my husband got a fig bar and a bagel. We also got juice and coffee. The price was very reasonable and the food was good. The donuts are made right there in the store and you can watch them make them, which my sons really enjoyed. The donut maker gave them each a warm glazed donut on the house which was very sweet of them. I had some of their donut and found it to be nice and light and sweet, just how I like them. I’ll be going back to Adam’s Donut Shop in the future.
