I didn’t stay in the store longer than about 20 minutes so there’s not much to review. Here’s what I can say though: — The store is very clean and not very cluttered. It almost seems like they’re not fully stocked even though they are. I attribute that to they’re in a place that’s too big for them. — The staff is friendly and helpful but good luck getting anyone to recognize you’re there. They’re too busy standing around in a group talking and laughing. I ended up leaving without 1 employee giving me the slightest time of day.

While the sales person was a very nice young man, he was not completely honest with us and it got worse as we got further up the chain of command. The sales person said that we had everything we needed for our TV installation and scheduled it for two days later. When the tech people showed up they did not have the wall mount bracket. After speaking with the management, they told us that it was not included, despite what our sales person told us. The price of the TV we bought was $ 299. The price with installation and 2 year service plan was $ 745. Excuse us for thinking that the sales person was being honest and the mounting bracket was included. NOT! When we refused the installation and requested a refund, we were told that we would only receive $ 250.00 of the cash that we presented at time of sale and the remainder would be mailed to us within 30 days. WHAT??? This should have been disclosed to us at the time of sale or at the very least during the two phone conversations we had with the manager of the store when things started to go south. Needless to say, I will never buy another product from this store. I do not know if it is the managment of this particular store or a corporation way of doing business. Regardless, it is not a way of doing business that I find acceptable.

I was excited to see a competitor to Best Buy. I walked in with a few questions about laptops. It didn’t look like the sales people wanted to be disturbed as they were talking to each other. Some of the laptops on display didn’t work so I left.

I have never bought anything here, I just bought a brand new tv at another big box store. I decided to take advantage of the after Christmas sales and look for a blu ray player. I walked in and told the employee I was looking for a dvd player. He showed me what they had and told me they had a couple of open box ones on display for $ 24.99!!! So I ended up with a Toshiba blu-ray dvd player. I can’t wait to go back.

We had a super positive experience at HH Gregg and will definitely shop there again. After purchasing our first house this summer, some of the appliances in it were brand new, but didn’t fit the space. We had the invoice and went to HH Gregg to see if they’d allow us to do an exchange. They were so easy to work with and provided outstanding customer service. Not only were we allowed to exchange the appliances, they let us get items that were a bit more expensive with no additional charge. Delivery was easy to set up and happened quickly. The delivery guys took away our old stuff, set up all our new stuff and we were able to use the appliances immediately.

When shopping for a laptop, I first went to Best Buy but the price of the laptop was too high given it’s low quality. Went through the H. H. Gregg website, found the laptop I wanted — better price, better quality! So I zipped across the street to make my purchase. It wasn’t nearly as busy as Best Buy and the parking was much easier. Things were looking up. I wanted to give the laptop a test run before purchasing. Unfortunately 5 of the 10 or so laptops on display weren’t powered on. I waited around 10 minutes, expecting a sales person to come talk to me — as that always happens at Best Buy, as annoying as it can be at times. Asked the nearest employee for help — «This isn’t my department. I’ll find someone else.» Waited another 10 minutes. Asked the nearest person(in camera area) for help, similar response — «I don’t know how to get the laptops on. I’ll have to find someone else». Told him I’d just like to have the laptop then for purchase then I’ll just have to test it out at home. After waiting for another 20 minutes for someone’s attention, I eventually gave up and went to buy a similar laptop at Walmart. Sorry H. H. Gregg — While your prices seem better than Best Buy’s, I can’t wait around for an hour just to receive the item I want to purchase.

Just across the street from Best Buy where at least a few other electronics/appliance store have failed. I was looking through their ad and doing research online for a new tv/soundbar/stand found what I was interested and went in to check out the picture, etc. The sales guy was very helpful, listened to what I was looking for and showed me my options and discussed them all with me. Took the hubby back to check out my picks and came home with the tv and sound bar. Had to go back to get the stand – I refuse to pay $ 75 to have something delivered a few miles away when I can do it myself. I noticed when I got home the soundbar box had a sticker on it saying reduced/open box. I did not want an open box receiver nor was the price reduced on my receipt. Called and talked to the guy who sold it to me, he was very apologetic and said to just bring it back when we came for the stand. All worked out, got a good price on everything, sales guy was nice… I’d go back. I was really surprised he didn’t ask me to sign up for their credit card… it seems every place does nowadays.

In full disclosure I went to buy a tv there before the grand opening, so I am guessing that the soft opening was still a trial/training time for most employees. So please keep that in mind. Worse than Best Buy’s customer service. It is like they deliberately hired staff who do not know how to talk to people courteously or in ful sentences even. The sales rep and the cashier both need huge improvements on their skills. The tv that was advertised(the one i wanted) was not even on display and not available for purchase. It had to be obtained from the back warehouse. Very odd to not display something you are advertising. I will stick with other B&M retailers and online.

This store just opened(one of two or three in WI/IL) directly across the street from Best Buy in Greenfield. Their current sale is in direct competition, price wise, with Best Buy. Need a new TV, computer or home appliance? It’s a no-brainer to go there before the sale ends.
