I got my wedding dress altered here. I’m on a super tight budget, and when they found out I had a second hand dress they lowered the price for me! Additionally they had it done in only 3 weeks time (which is great for a wedding dress). It was a great experience! Thanks Mr. Hamdi’s!

I just moved from Boston to Deerfield, MA and looking for vendors was a task because I did not know much about the area. Luckily working at a school I had a lot of resources and reviews to go by. My wedding was 5 months away from when I moved to Deerfield and I had my large ball gown dress to get altered. Instead of bringing my gown back to Boston for alterations and having to go back to pick it up I was on the look for a reliable tailor that had experience and work like I would receive if I used a city tailor back at home. I was so nervous about bringing my gown anywhere so I was diligent in my search. I went to Hamdi’s shop and he was very friendly. He explained the ropes of the area and tailoring in town. I first brought my gown in to how him and ask him what he could do. It has 7 layers of tulle on the bottom. He was confident and explained everything he could do to alter the gown. I booked an appointment with him a few weeks later to come back for the alterations. He was so accommodating even during upcoming busy prom season. I came back for my appointment and he was so professional. He had my dress ready when I needed it and made me feel very comfortable leaving it behind. The dress was ready on time and when I tried it on for the fitting, it was unbelievable. The hemming work was flawless and I loved the gown even more as it poof’d out perfect to my height. I looked like a princess and I am glad I put my trust in him and his work. So if you are new to the area, or live here and haven’t used hi, for tailoring you can take my advice and go! I am such a stickler when it comes to perfecting things, especially for my wedding! We get married next week and I cannot wait to wear my perfect gown! Reasonable pricing as well… you cannot beat it!

I went to Mr. Hamdi with my wedding dress after a very bad experience with another tailor. He is extremely professional and identified the problems without me even having to tell him, and I immediately felt my dress was in good hands! He fixed everything quickly and affordably, and he was so lovely to me, it made up for the completely awful experience I had previously. Mr. Hamdi, I can’t thank you enough. Thanks to you, I felt beautiful on my wedding day. I only wish I had found you first!

I had a pair of pants shortened here — the price was right and they are the perfect length now.

I have taken many things to Mr Hamdi from pants to be hemmed or have the zipper replaced, to bride’s maid dresses, to men’s suit jackets/​/​blazers.
Not only is he friendly; he is incredibly talented. Everything comes back to me better than I could ever have hoped and the prices are VERY reasonable.
I will not go anywhere else.
He and his wife run this shop and a shop in Northampton as well. I can’t say enough good things about them.
