The food is great but service was terrible. The two workers were slow and skipped over my friend when she wanted to order. They did not even know how to work the cash register.

We passed by this cute looking bakery so figured we would give it a look. We were pleasantly surprised by the inviting décor and the array of baked goods. Unlike a lot of bakeries where the cookies look exactly the same, as if they were mass produced, these cookies all looked like they were made in house . So because it was breakfast time we didn’t order any cookies but we did order croissants, a cheese Danish, and the blue berry turnover to go with our coffee. All three were delightful treats. My favorite was the flaky blueberry turnover which was oozing with whole blueberries; definitely required a couple napkins ! Haha Look forward to going back during our next visit to Greenport !

We visited the blue duck bakery to grab some pastries after Easter Mass. It’s located on Front Street in downtown Greenport. The two huge display cases offered a huge selection and something for everything… cookies, cupcakes, cakes, croissants, turnovers, breads, and much much more! There’s also a cute sitting area you can enjoy if dining in. The pastries we had were fantastic – so fresh and delicious! Would highly recommend a stop here when in Greenport for a breakfast or sweet treat!

I don’t want to know how much the sandwiches at The Blue Duck Bakery and Café cost. The two sandwiches my father and I ordered were stale! The bread was almost rock solid! While the pecan pastry and iced tea were good, but not great! If the sandwiches were«freshly made», how come they were incredibly stale? The flavors were there, but a sandwich is make or break for me based on its bread. As Blue Duck is a Bakery, I am very disappointed.

Great sandwiches wrapped to go. The cakes and muffins looked delicious. The bakers were doing there thing sprinkling the doughs right in front. Everything was fresh and delicious. Looking forward to stopping again.

This is the cutest bakery in Greenport. I assert this with limited experienced — one weekend — in Greenport. Nevertheless, I can attest to the following: — great chocolate croissant — decent iced coffee(the reason we came) — decent bagels The bagels, however, came with the least generous amount of schmear I have ever seen. There was barely any cream cheese on either side of the bagel. Make sure you get the amount you and your bagel deserve! Also, the pastries here looked delectable. Very reasonably priced and super cute to boot!

Cute spot for coffee and pastry. Cupcakes were okay, a little dry but the buttercream icing was good. Nice price point $ 12 for two cupcakes and two coffees and the staff was very friendly.

Each item sampled beautifully crafted and delicious. The plain croissant was flaky and buttery. A pain au chocolat drizzled with chocolate and filled with chocolate cream delighted. The whole wheat baguette had a great texture and stayed fresh. The apple strudel was worthy of Budapest. Drip coffee was fine but not up to the level of the baked goods.

What a nice surprise. Coffee was delicious and the morning baked goods were probably the best I ever had. We had a nut danish loaded with nuts that was just amazing. In spite of being satisfied… I Had to go back for more. Tried the almond and chocolate croissants. Yum. The chocolate was my favorite. Allie, the baker of the morning goodies, was very nice and does an amazing job. We wish her much success. Now… when can I get back here again???

I phoned ahead to inquire about picking up 18 cupcakes the next day. Not only was I helped cheerfully and efficiently the cupcakes were sort of out of this world delicious! I took them to a luncheon party and they were quite the hit. Sweet, but oh so good! The next morning I stopped by again for coffee and a great fresh baked raisin scone.

the apple pie is very very sweet and they are over priced for the size of the pie.

Lovely little place with lots of natural light and lots of indoor seating. There’s also a porch with a couple couches if the weather’s nice outside. The day I stopped by, they were featuring a Garden Veggie Tomato soup. It’s very clean and fantastic for a appetizer. Then you dive into the pastries… The variety is endless, you have cookies and cupcakes and scones, croissants, turnovers, cakes, an assorted breads. The cashier said her favorite was the Chocolate Croissant, and it seemed to be the crowd favorite as well, since they were out. I opted for the last Blueberry Scone in the case, apparently another crowd favorite. It was light and fluffy inside, and hard on the outside, perfect and just how I like it. It didn’t feel heavy and it wasn’t overly sugary. Loved it. I was one happy camper sitting outside sipping my iced coffee, eating my scone. Baked goods really can remedy a cloudy day. :)

It’s a quiet little shop with a few places to sit inside. They didn’t have a lot to offer but what I did eat was delicious! I purchased two cupcakes. One was a vanilla cupcake with raspberry buttercream and the other was a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter buttercream. They were absolutely delightful! The buttercream is real, not that fake stuff that most bakeries pass off as buttercream. I was totally impressed. I would definitely return to try a few more pastries and cakes. After I gobbled down a cupcake, I just had to buy two more for the road. $ 2.50 a cupcake was a bargain if you ask me. There was LOVE in those cupcakes!!! They had a variety of flavors but I just fell in love with the two I had ordered.

Here at the recently opened Blue Duck on Front Street, Greenport, Long Island the indifferent service is confusing … I mean, this is a place with some excellent, five star baked goods, served by silent, somewhat taciturn women who apparently don’t mind being entirely and apparently not at all interested in whether you are going to return! Greenport and Northfork homeowners like myself KNOW we can well use some great bakery goods … But seriously! Such sour faced staff or owners seems a silly way to do business(i really dont know who was there ‘serving us’ for about $ 40 of baked goods but does it matter ?) . Blue Duck Bakery: good baked goods with a taciturn delivery! Not good, considering most of us can just drive to a number of other places to find what we want to enjoy!
