Second time at Big Burger Spot and both times the food was great. I ordered the 1 pound Steve Harvey burger, chili cheese fries and a grilled chicken salad. You have to ask specifically for the Steve Harvey burger, it’s not on the menu, there is just a picture of it up on the wall with Steve Harvey’s autograph. It had red onion, mayo, pickles, and french fries on top of two half pound burgers. Amazing! I was skeptical about ordering the grilled chicken salad as I have not seen one person eating a salad in there, but it was really fresh. Portion was huge too. This place is small and fills up fast. We went at 9:00pm Friday night. It was steady with a couple open tables. First time we went was Saturday around 3:00pm and the line to order was long and it was difficult to get a table. I would suggest going at an off hour if you plan to sit down inside. Good news is the food comes out pretty fast.

I do not think I am the only one who loves a big olé saucy burger every now and then. Big Burger spot can really fill that void in your life that can only be filled with a nice fat beef sandwich. But that’s not all that Big Burger spot serves! You can get a loaded, toasty wiener or a smokey sausage. And well if your looking for a place to feed that special someone then head on down to big burger spot and put that meat in her mouth. And well it is hard to find a place with a wider French fry menu because you can choose from a wide array of toppings and flavors. Typically if I get take out with my family we will get three burgers and a large bag of fries which will be more than enough. The food here is also priced well and fairly. Lastly eating in the restaurant is crowder because of the small space but if you want some take out burgers on a week night. All in all I suggest you swing on by Big burger spot and hit that G spot!

Probably the best burger in the city, and we’ve got some good contenders. Wish they had more seating but it’s hard to complain when the food is this good. Plus, when people ask where it is you get to say«it’s in an Exxon station.»

Big Burgers. Big Fries. Big Flavor. Go Big at Big Burger Spot. I could talk about this place all day. If you are in the mood for a casual burger, and don’t want to deal with waiter service and long table waits… this is absolutely THE place to go. The burgers are amazing. As the name implies… they are quite large. They come in three sizes… «Almost»(still large), «Big»(even larger), and Colossal… which is two bigs stacked on top of each other. I have never actually seen anyone order a Colossal burger. I assume it has its own gravitational pull and would be ill advised. But the burgers aren’t just big… they are creative. When someone asks me what I recommend for their first time, as long as they are a cheese fan, I recommend the Pimento cheese burger. Comes with bacon… but I like to add crispy onions and jalapeño relish. That cheese on a hot burger and bun with the crisp of the bacon and onions and the cool vinegary soothing of the relish… absolute win. But, the burgers aren’t the only stars. Their owners and chefs keep coming up with limited run sandwiches and other items that sometimes are so popular they become full-time fixtures. The cult hit right now(which from my understanding is about to become permanent) is the Short Rib sandwich. Slow cooked short rib braised in a coca cola sauce, topped with Vermont white sharp cheddar, crispy onions, onion jam(this stuff is one FDA regulation short of crack), and beefy mayo. I usually hold the mayo and add some pickles… but this sandwich, is easily one of the top 5 sandwiches I have eaten in my ENTIRELIFE. The selection of french fries is also incredible. From stalwarts like bacon cheddar fries, to nacho fries, and then really unique stuff like White Truffle oil fries and pesto Parmesan fries. It’s all great. Just a hint… an almost order is enough for two people, and a big order is enough for four. There are also great milkshakes that come in seasonal flavors, and they are fantastic. Good enough to rival and surpass Cook-Out. What are you waiting for?! Go get something and gush about it to everyone!

Very good burger that was just the right size. The fries and bun were also good. I really enjoyed the different sources available for dipping

Five WHO??? Big Burger Spot has the best burgers in Greensboro, and probably North Carolina. Who cares it shares its parking lot with a gas station. I’m glad this spot is on my side of town, and if it wasn’t, I would still make the trip to Big Burger Spot. I always get BIG burgers. Sooner or later, I’ll try the Collosus.

It’s a smaller dinner style restaurant with minimal seating. We went for a to-go order and it was packed. An interesting and friendly staff cooked my husband and I a couple of juicy burgers to order and speciality fries. The burger buns they used were so good and I loved the chili cheese fries. Portion sizes were great with the exception of the large soda which was rather small(24oz) for the price it was $ 2+. We very much enjoyed our meal and are excited to go back!

A local friend turned my band on to this joint during a stop in Greensboro. I’ll admit that I wasn’t expecting much since every town in America has an over-hyped burger spot with«mind-blowing» burgers that is inevitably lack-luster. Well I ate my words tonight because this is a must-try burger spot with mind-blowing burgers. I find most run-of-the-mill burgers to be great at first but really lose steam halfway through the meal; wether it’s the proportions are off or the flavor becomes tired, something turns me off after that honeymoon period. It’s not the case with these burgers. Every bite is packed full of flavor and fresh ingredients, the burgers are grilled to perfection and they have a size and style for every appetite and palette. I had a burger with onions and applewood bacon on some super soft roll topped with ketchup and A1. The burger was dripping with juice, the onions were fresh and crisp, and as I mentioned before the toll was so soft and warm, it was incredible. The bacon was cooked exactly the way I like it, a bit crispy but still very juicy and not at all chewy. My girlfriend had the Mediterranean burger which comes with tzatziki sauce and hummus. I had a bite and it such a unique flavor experience. It felt like some weird combo between a gyro and a burger. I’m normally not a huge fan of whacky burgers but my girlfriend had to fight me to get her burger back. I love this place and even though it’s tiny and connected to a gas station, it has the best burgers I’ve had outside of my pop’s homemade hambos. This place is worth going out of your way to experience. It’s like if Bob’s Burgers existed in real life. 10⁄10

This place is consistently fantastic everytime I visit. The burgers are great and the portions are huge so I usually just get the smallest burger and then split a fry with a friend. The only disappointing thing I’ve ever eaten here were the sweet potato fries. I’ve tried them 3 times and each time they’ve just been limp and soggy. Everything else has been amazing.

They aren’t lying when they say big — first time I went I got the biggest burger they offered and that was a challenge to down to say the least. Upon my return, I grabbed a much more reasonably sized burger and enjoyed it for the most part with one glaring exception — the super heavy charring. The meat was juicy and I’m sure would have had great flavor if only I could have tasted it over the insanely charred exterior of the burger. Toppings were fresh and the bun/topping/patty ratio was perfect… just kind of burnt tasting(burger was actually cooked to the specified medium rare). Also, the fries are a weak link — both times I’ve been here, they have been soggy, floppy potatoes, so that’s not fun. The onion rings on the other hand, are excellent — so get those. I’d really like to go back, I just hope next time my burger isn’t coated in a layer of charcoal.

In a town that has become overrun with overrated burger spots, the Big Burger Spot does not disappoint. There is no pretension about this place, only delicious burgers. They have an amazing list of options from their unique sandwich creations, fresh salads, and assortment of french fry toppings. The staff is friendly and down to earth. The buns are delicious and fresh, not pre packaged. It is also home of the Steve Harvey burger which amuses me to no end. He loved the Big Burger Spot so much after his Greensboro visit that he created his own menu item to share with all of luck Greensborians. Thank you Steve Harvey.

I’m particular about my burgers but thus might be my new burger joint. I had the short ribs sandwich with beef mayo and onion jelly. Omg it was delicious!!! Plenty of meat and the sauce was surprisingly amazing. I also ordered the garlic parm fries. They were ok flavor wise. I liked how large the portion was and the crunch was perfect.

On a second visit, I brought my wife who approved big time. We tried the onion rings which were excellent and also highly recommended. My wife was impressed with the size of the menu. Cuban and Ruben sandwiches are to try next. Stay tuned to this channel. I noticed this time there is an outside seating area. Since it was labor day, today the crowd was big. Seems like family and children love this place. It was a full house. People were waiting for a parking spot to open up. I ask one lady how she likes the food. She said it was her first visit but read good things in our State Magazine which place the spot on a list of 70 great places in the state to stop and eat. Hey Hey!

I’ve been here a couple of times and always get exactly what I want. a nice greasy burger and fries! I love the variety in their menu and that they ask how you want your burger cooked. Parking was an issue last time I went, so avoid peak times or try and call ahead. Otherwise the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is good and reasonably priced.

Created a Unilocal because of this place. I’ve also lived in 8 other countries growing up and I’ve come across all different kinds and variations of burgers in my years. I never even been to Big Burger Spot to mention, this was my first visit. Walking in, I was greeted like I had been a regular to start. The employees were Class and friendly. The menu had so many selections, which was a good thing cause it all sounded good. I asked what the most popular burger was recently, and it was some Big Double Bacon Double cheese burger. I went with that burger and I don’t regret it. This burger wasn’t something that made me remember any other burger. This was like my first real experience with a burger. After living overseas for so long, I found a place to call Home of the Burger. Sadly I don’t live in Greensboro, but this is a place worth stopping by if you’re in town. The fact that its next to a gas station reminds me of being on the road so much. It was an experience. Love this burger.

I’ve been here a few times and this is one of the better options for burgers, dogs and fries in Greensboro. They have a dozen or so themed burgers and lots of toppings to build your own. They also serve several hot dog variations, a few sandwiches, salads and shakes. I’ve tried a few different kinds, some were a bit of a let down and others quite tasty. They just seem overcooked and dry every time to me, but I like mine a bit red if it’s a thick patty, so that’s probably just my quirk. I like that they have different size burgers so you choose depending on how hungry you are, or if you have time for a nap after one of their biggest burgers. The Pimento Cheese burger is the best one I’ve tried. It had sharp cheddar pimento cheese, lettuce, tomato and bacon, a really great combination. The Blue Cheese burger is ok, but just came with bacon and blue cheese, it really would have benefited from some toppings. I really like blue cheese, but it was kind of just one note all the way through. I really didn’t care for the South of Border burger which had crispy onions, green chiles and ‘fresh salsa’. The salsa was the kind right of a jar and the chiles seemed liked canned ones. This burger idea would be a lot better to me with fresh roasted chiles and house-made salsa or pico de gallo. They also serve hot dogs and the bacon wrapped pimento dog is pretty awesome although a bit pricey, Very tasty though. They serve fries with quite a few topping variations but none them have really been more than just OK since they are just your average bagged, frozen fries. Fresh fries would really step up their flavor. You can’t go wrong with the bacon and cheddar or chili cheese fries, but the truffle Parmesan fries didn’t really have any truffle flavor and the Parm was the processed shredded junk that doesn’t even melt. The onion rings and sweet potato fries are decent but nothing special, again fresh instead of frozen would help here. Their house made dipping sauce is really good, so make sure you get a side of that, it really ups the flavor.

Came to Greensboro for a live performance and was looking for a good inexpensive place for dinner. Thanks to the wonderful reviews on Unilocal we decided on the Big Burger Spot. Didn’t realize it was attached to gas station, but that’s okay. I could see the smoke coming out the roof and the wonderful smell of beef on the grill, so quickly parked and dashed in before the rush hit. Had an excellent burger, cooked medium, with delicious pimento cheese on it. It was wonderful. Also got a side on onion rings which were fantastic!!! I would come back just for them they were so good. Not really big inside, but they still manage to have quite a lot of tables and it all works. They also have a nice seating area outside that would be great in the warmer weather. Friendly employees and our order was up in less than the ten minutes they said it would take.

Uhmmm, burgers! Getting out of my car I could smell the seared beef patties coming out of the exhaust of Big Burger Spot. Inside, the place is bright, cheery and casual with some hi-tops, line of 2-tops and stainless steel stools. There’s an order area to the right and after meeting up with Holly and Rick, I put in for my Carolina burger with barbeque and cheddar, chili-cheese fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings. Oh and some hummus too but I was sharing. It takes about 10 minutes for my order and it all comes out pretty quickly. My burger is a stacked, maybe 1⁄3 to ½ pounder and comes with plenty of que, it’s hard to stuff down my gullet. My faves were the sides of sweet potato fries, rings and more. They’re all served up with sauces in addition to ketchup at the table. Service at Big Burger Spot is mostly at the order window and it’s very good. Between the reasonable prices, great range of choices and strong sides, I was pretty happy with my meal here and I think you will be too! Bonus is that you can get some gas for your car on the way out!

I think the Big Burger Spot is a pretty tasty burger option in Greensboro. To me this place is more of a quick burger that you can grab on the go. They have quite the list of burger options. I just went for the classic and it was good, but I wanted it cooked medium-well and it was a bit underdone. I know it must be hard to ensure each burger is cooked to everyone’s preference with the crowd they get in there. Their fry options are pretty awesome. I tried out the sweet potato waffle fries, onion strings, and the chili cheese fries. All three I would eat again when I go back. I like that they serve a cinnamon dipping sauce with the sweet potato fries. I would honestly just go back to get a shake. I got a chocolate peanut butter shake and that thing was tasty. I love a good shake and Big Burger Spot knows what they are doing!

They are now offering their version of a Chicago Dog, and while it is not completely authentic, it is pretty darn good, especially when the relish is the Jalapeño Relish a friend of Guy’s makes — it is nice and hot. The bun is the regular hot dog bun(so this version is a little smaller than the norm) rather than the traditional poppy seed bun. The wiener is a nice all beef one, there is onion, slice of pickle, slice of tomato, spicy mustard, and THATRELISH. I really like the heat kick in this hot dog, which goes for $ 2.59. Hope they’ll make it a regular addition to the menu.
