I love the seafood, hibachi grill, the wait staff were great. The restaurant was clean.

SOGREAT! A HUGE selection, plenty of awesome sushi, a staff that won’t judge you haha. Come in, eat until you are about to explode. I honestly ALWAYS tell myself I will limit my trips back to get another plate, every time I go, but the food is so good, I always fail at this haha. Totally worth it.

I’ve read quite a few of the reviews for this restaurant and i have to say I agree with almost ALL of them. How is that possible? Well, not only is everyone different but everyone has different experiences. Duh… obviously. But let me explain: I used to enjoy going here… LOTS of different food — a few decent choices. So-so sushi, but it’s all-you-can-eat so go for it… not half bad. Hibachi… not half bad either. I’ve even taken out-of-town friends here. But now, I’ve kinda spoiled on the place. Why? Well, this seems a bit trivial, but I don’t like paying $ 25 to be treated rudely. AGGRESSIVELY rudely. Most of the staff is very friendly — plus I never seem to have trouble keeping a tea glass full… no problem there. The problem, however, lies in the NON-wait staff. And you’ll be surprised at how often you’ll have to interact with them. Case(s) in point… the first time I tried to find white rice I asked an older female employee where it was. She kinda waved in the general direction of the side wall near the kitchen, where you wouldn’t expect to find a buffet item. After searching in places I didn’t feel comfortable snooping through I found the huge kettle of rice… only to find the top was kinda difficult to maneuver. Not a big problem, but the reason I mention it at all is, I have a 10-year-old son who LOVES Chinese food. He’s pretty independent and thick-skinned but came back to the table looking very upset. Took a minute to get it out of him, but it turned out he had the EXACT same experience I had had… even the same woman(I had him point her out to me). I didn’t particularly like her demeanor but being rude to a polite young boy is unconscionable. He said«I had trouble getting the rice and asked for her help and she wouldn’t help me». I got him his rice. May not seem like much, but how would YOU like it if some adult was rude to YOUR child? Think about that for a minute. But that’s not what made me write this review. Last night I went in to pick up a couple of large containers of soup for take-out. I walked up to the check-out and asked for two containers. A guy I’ve never seen before abruptly said«What type of soup you want?» I said, «Well, I’m not sure yet, I’d like to see what I want when I get there.» It seemed reasonable as sometimes their won-ton looks good, sometimes not. Sometimes I like a single won-ton in the bottom of my hot ‘n’ sour soup. Sometimes I like to mix a little egg-drop soup in. Sometime I like a little bit of onion sprinkled on top… sometimes more. Hey, call me crazy… wacky… zany. I like to pick out what I like to pick out. Me(smiling politely): «Uh, I’m not sure yet… is there a problem? Are they different prices?» Him: «I’LLGETIT!!!» Me(kinda shocked and taken aback at how incredibly rude he is): «Oh, that’s OK, I’ll get it…» Him(seriously, he just kept on repeating himself): «WHAT… KIND… OF… SOUP… YOU… WANT???» At THAT point he got a little, well… «dark». Me(meekly): «Hot ‘n’ sour???» Him: «BOTH???»(darker still) Me: «Yes». He walks 25 feet away and starts to get my soup. I watch carefully to see if he spits into it. I don’t think he did. But somehow that SAMEWOMAN sidles up beside him, he says something to her and she looks up and stares straight at me. When he returned with the soup(with waaay too much green onion on top) I smiled and asked him if he was the manager. When he said«Yes» I flashed a big smile and said«I thought so» and turned around and left. I figured NOONE would be THATRUDE unless he owned the place. Was he having a bad day? Maybe. But deep dark vitriol like that usually comes with a LOT of experience. I’m 6’3″, 220 lbs and I don’t scare easily. But that dude was rude. Ruder than ANYONE I’ve ever experience under ANY circumstance. Sorry about the long review, but I just had to purge. Guys like this shouldn’t be allowed to make money off of decent people. I won’t be back.

Been coming here for year food is consistently good. Sushi. Soup and Hibachi Bars are the highlights. Other than that its your average Chinese buffet.

If I could give this no stars, lord knows I would. Boyfriend and I came here one night. The food was amateur. There weren’t very many options, the hibachi cook was coughing all over the place, and there was no hot food. Was there for about an hour and the same four chicken nuggets that were there when we first walked in were there when we walked out. A huge waste of 25 $. Smh

Got to ichiban. This place is not very good. The flavor was there with a lot of it but the food was just barely above room temp, both of our glasses were dirty and we had to ask for new ones. It was just a let down

Hungry? Hungover? Temporarily lacking a sense of self-worth? Come to China Buffet and trade temporary happiness for delayed remorse! I can’t be the only person that goes to any chinese buffet and loves it while its happening, and then always regrets it after the fact, can I? Well, if you’re going to do it, I recommend this buffet in particular. The staff is attentive, the restaurant is clean, and the food, considering the genre, is pretty darn good. The real value at this place is the sushi and hibachi in the very back of the buffet area, where you can customize a stir fry dish with a variety of meats, veggies, and noodles and get it cooked fresh for you on a smoking hot hibachi. You can customize to your tastes with a variety of sauces and heat levels as well. Next to that is the sushi bar, which typically has about 20 varieties of sushi, including some very fresh nigiri cuts.

Very good buffet! Selection is good, food is good, service is good. I’m afraid if I lived nearby I would become very large because I would eat here a lot!

I chose one star because it won’t let you choose ZERO!!! Worst experience ever! The staff didn’t even care that the food was extremely old or just a dirty, empty container where the even older food once was. The staff was either standing around talking or on their phone instead of addressing all the customer complaints. Not one customer there was happy with the food quality. So myself and two other Individuals who had the same disgusted face I did, decided to demand fresh food. The manager finally came over and asked exactly which food I would like them to cook. No more than five minutes later, the food I requested was ready. Which is even more alarming. Why wait til customers complain before you bring out fresh food? Why risk it?

We went here on Christmas Day, because sometimes you’re just not doing the big family get together. We enjoyed the food selections — by far the most options I’ve seen that were regularly filled, cleaned, and maintained by a busy staff. There are the usual expected selections, sushi, soups, cooked to order hibabchi, entrees, salad/cold food, and desserts. What makes this place stand out I believe is the sushi options. There are many more varieties than I’m used to seeing at Asian buffets. While you cannot request specific listings, there are more than just 3 – 5 different options. Raw rolls mainly, and a few cooked options. If my memory is correct, there were 11 different options on Christmas when I went to the bar. Entrees — all the expected choices were there — chicken, beef, pork and shrimp selections, and a few vegetarian selections(seemed to be very few — if looking for vegetarian options I’d question the options here carefully). I didn’t try the hibachi or soups, and there is only so much small samples you can do before you really can’t eat any more. Everything I tried was fine, nothing wowed me, but nothing was below standard. Cons: The restaurant is nicely designed, although aging. I’m not a fan of seeing the drink/cleanup station in middle of floor, but its how most restaurants are designed. Nothing unusual there. I think the music could be a little louder. Maybe I’m just getting too old, but I don’t really hear it, and can hear other patrons sitting nearby. TLDR: Good buffett options with higher than expected options. Overall great value for price. Would highly recommend for value/taste. Would avoid if you have low willpower when it comes to all you can eat options.

Sushi bar is delicious!!! The food is delicious, service is good, atmosphere is good, place is clean — something for everyone. New to the area and glad we found this place as quickly as we did — definitely a fan! We’ve eaten here 4 times in the past 2 weeks :) and have now become regulars: D

Great Mongolian Grill, Outstanding Sushi and made to order soups. But that’s it, their prepared foods on the buffet are absolutely lousy! Over cooked on the baked items. Very greasy on the fried. Food temperatures are not maintained on the hot bar. Free style ice cream dipping, which means that a lot of dirty hands are in the tubs of ice cream. I’m surprised that the Board of Health hasn’t stopped that. The clientele acts like this is their last meal. Pushing, shoving and butting in line, don’t expect any apologies. Many children are unattended and handling food at the buffet. Service is poor at best. They do remove your plates but are very slow at filling your water. Stick to the sushi, soup and grill and you will enjoy this restaurant.

Food is usually not bad — they have a good selection — but they jacked their prices up recently. Some of the wait staff are rude: they keep looking at you and sometimes even peek over to see what tip you are giving them. And they greet only certain customers ‘thank you’ when they leave… Advice: Your service provides as much weightage as the quality of your food. Learn to treat all customers with respect and don’t hold your breath on the tips — ESP if you are rude and uncourteous. Remember every customer is important and the word of mouth is important for your business.

The adult dinner was $ 11.99, which is a fair/average price. We ate around 6 pm, so the food was freshly made and a good temperature. There is a lot of variety and the made-to-order hibachi was delicious! The sushi was not that good, but I think that’s to be expected. Overall, do not skip this place if you are in Greensboro, especially if you like to eat a lot of food in one sitting!

Nice and clean atmosphere. Got there around noon and my only complaint is the food temperatures were a little low. The egg rolls were tough as if they were leftovers or perhaps sat under the warming lamps too long. The taste of the food though was good. They have several things to choose from at their buffet. They also serve sushi and have a hibachi grill. Definitely recommend for a family outing!

You usually know what to expect when you go to a Chinese Buffet… but China Buffet manages to exceed my expectations every time. Many people do not realize that right between the Sushi & made to order Hibachi is a seriously DELICIOUS soup station — also made to order. They offer 3 or 4 soups daily — and they are AWESOME. You have a choice of broth — spicy or regular, a choice of protein — shrimp, chicken — even roast duck. Just last night I had the spicy version with roast duck — with cellophane noodles, mushrooms, scallions, and more… I wish I were eating it again right now. It was seriously YUMMY. They also offer a surprisingly wide variety of sushi — I would rate it above-average — as well as your standard, expected dishes. Some of my favorites are the Korean Chicken(has a good spicy kick,) the Shrimp & Crab with Broccoli, and the Salt & Pepper Shrimp. So if you are feeling particularly hungry & you want to keep it easy & casual but still yummy, give China Buffet a shot. BONUS — coupons are mailed out regularly for $ 2 off an adult dinner!

It’s a OK if you know what you are going to get: cheap industrial food. It’s a regular all you can eat with the common Chinese stuff. It’s clean which is good, but the sushis makers have troubles to keep up with the demand which is sad. I am not very fond of this kind of food esp, chinese one as you feel overcharged with flavour enhancer but from time to time, you want to eat like a beast.
