I eat here often. Took a friend today and she loved it. It is Americanized Chinese food. Nothing fancy. Great service. To all the people that complain about how busy they are… Well… duh! Lots of food at a reasonable price and great service… What did you expect?

Hands down the best Chinese food in the triad! Friendly fast service always. Good variety of vegetarian/seafood options.

I’ve been here about three times since moving to the area back in August, 2015. It’s a typical Chinese restaurant. I always judge Chinese restaurants by their low mein and egg foo young. Both are very good and met my standards. If you eat egg foo young, you know it’s all about them not burning the egg, and the GRAVY! The gravy is great so that’s what keeps me coming back. My son loves lo mein noodles. We both like it when they are not wet. Again, the noodles are great and so is the General Tso’s Chicken. Although it’s a bit of a drive, I drive by several closer spots to come here. And I would recommend calling in your order, as they can get crowded at times.

Very good. Fantastic food, good price, friendly staff. They do offer delivery despite what it says on here. I will definitely order again.

In terms of Chinese takeout, Golden Wok is probably one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Compared to similar restaurants, Golden Wok(1) is cleaner,(2) has larger portions,(3) tastes better, and(4) has friendlier(and quicker) service. The food definitely isn’t authentic Chinese food — it’s still your stereotypical Western-Chinese cuisine — but it’s fresh and really delicious. I like that they included a lot of chicken in my dish, which some Chinese restaurants will inevitably rip you off on. They were also generous with a huge assortment of vegetables that I normally don’t see in large quantities at other takeout places; red and green peppers, cabbage, baby corn, mushrooms, water chestnuts, carrots, onion, broccoli, and string beans were all included in one dish. I always burn my tongue when I eat here because the food is so hot when they serve it. The facility itself is small and isn’t that impressive; it’s the epitome of a typical Chinese takeout place with the counter at which you order and a couple simple tables. The place probably gets busy and runs out of room sometimes. It’s nicely lit, but there’s not really an atmosphere. I don’t think most people who decide to eat Chinese takeout are looking for an atmosphere, anyways. Overall, Golden Wok is the ideal when it comes to Chinese takeout. I’ve had several great experiences here and I’ll definitely be back in the future.

Just moved in town from San Fransisco and wanted to find a good mom and pop Chinese place and I must say this place is great! Always friendly and the food is awesome! This place BLOWS Panda Express or any other«Chain» out of the water in the area… Be patient on busy nights these guys work their tails off and it’s sometimes hard to get in your to-go order but it’s worth the wait!

I have been a lazy bum this week and takeout has reigned supreme. *walks up to counter to order* Dude at register says, «Lo mein, soup, and water, right?» I wouldn’t call myself a regular or something, but I have been here 8 times(according to my check ins) over about 1.5 years. I have tried three different entrées my initial three times but always revert back to… see above. Thanks for remembering me and what I have ordered the past five times or so. And I will continue to get these. Pretty impressive since it seems I always come here when it is slammed. Today wasn’t however. But the amount of times I have been here coupled with how crazy the joint always seems to be, recognizing me and what I order before I even get to the counter is pretty damn cool. Thanks. Other reviewers have said this and I can’t argue. The food is good, the portions are large, and this place gets busy, but for a damn good reason. Did I mention the portions are large? Rick gets a takeout box after eating in. Rick doesn’t get takeout boxes. Rick is a fat ass. Yes, this is one of the best takeout places in Greensboro for my taste. The tips also confirm this. Look past the madness or avoid it if you can. And takeout(even after eating in) will reign supreme for you too.

This is too close to the Chinese flavor I’m used to back home. I enjoy every single time I come. My whole family talk about how the flavor is so different than the rest and when it comes to get some chinese to go, there is no question golden wok!!!, I love the rice, Egg fooyoung, boneless spare ribs and hunan shrimp are my favorites. The shrimp in the Hunan shrimp are jumbo and the flavor is delicious 100% recommended.

Overall, Golden Wok is my favorite to go Chinese place in Greensboro. The service has always been good, and the food is fresh and hot every time I pick it up. My favorite meal from there is the crispy scallion chicken. Another good choice is the general tso’s chicken. The egg rolls are awesome and a perfect side to have along with your meal.

Again– if I could give 4.5 stars, I would. I stopped by tonight to place an order(exact same as last time, but with extra sauce!) to go — and stood in the corner to observe while I waited. The first thing I saw was a wall with multiple«Triad’s Best» plaques… At 5:50 pm on a Friday evening, this place had a line out the door, two phones constantly ringing and employees that expertly handled it all. The efficiency is impressive, the customer service(with EACH customer!) is top notch, and the accuracy of each pick up that I witnessed was 100%. After I had been waiting about 15 minutes, one of the counter employees spun around, looked right at me, recited my order in inquiry, and apologized for the wait. With all the people and orders flying about, he still knew what I was waiting on. Exactly 2 minutes and 37 seconds later, an employee bagged my order, asked if I desired any additional sauces, and thrust a piping hot bag in my hand with a sincere smile and a «thank you.» I could not wait to get home. Once home, I tore open the bag to dive into bliss — yet again. The crab Rangoon, just as crispy and crabby as last time. The general Tso, just as crispy and fresh — with white rice this go ’round! Perfection! I will be back — I need to try another menu item!

If you’re hungry… don’t Wok, RUN! To Golden Wok! This is the best chinese take-out joint in Greensboro/High Point and is pretty much central to all of it. How do I know? It is the only chinese place I can call and place an order, and the response isn’t always«ready in 15 minutes». I’ve even heard them say 30 – 45 on a really busy holiday! All levity aside, they really do it the best. The standby, the General Tso’s chicken, is nice and crispy, and if you ask for it extra spicy they will actually ramp it up, unlike most other places. Pork spare ribs are always a tender meaty treat, and I’m a big fan of their cashew chicken. Portions are gigantic, even at lunch. More meat than rice, always a plus. Lunch specials M-F include a tea to drink as well, which is always good. If you care about this sort of thing… the guys working the front speak better english than many North Carolinians I’ve encountered, so ordering over the phone is precise and efficient. They are also willing to make substitutions and bend to particular dietary needs.

My lover and I waltzed into this Chinese store with hunger and the food ended up being pretty decent. Pretty much what you’d expect from your average Americanized Chinese food placery. Tasted pretty good, not really any complaints, and definitely better than a good amount of the other Chinese restaurants similar to it(mainly just because of how it tasted fresh). However in regards to how good the food was, it was not really anything out-of-this-world or amazing. Still searching for a truly great Chinese store in my area, however Golden Walk will do just fine for now.

Absolutely LOVE this place! Never had anything that wasn’t good! Food is cooked fresh and tastes amazing! I hate that they won’t allow credit/debit delivery orders any more! Cash only! Which, in today’s world, I totally understand! Identity thief is on the rise! If you do a pick up order or dine in the wait is a little long, but it’s worth it! Business is booming bc the food is delicious and the customer service is on point! I highly recommend this place! Enjoy!

The BEST Chinese food in the Greensboro/High Point/Kernersville area! A must go to! Food is always great, hot… large quality servings. Service is fabulous! They treat you like family! Take out or dine in… food is always hot and fresh. The take outs are packaged great too! The cashew chicken is my go-to but my family loves the sesame chicken!

What’s Super Bowl Sunday without your favorite Americanized Chinese dishes — heck, you can have Buffalo Wings any time. But the problem is: where do you go for take out since no one place offers a version of every favorite that you are crazy about — true this for most types of restaurants, but especially true for Chinese, Indian, and Mexican. So we decided that the evening meal(trailing only the meals at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, New Year’s Eve, and Alice’s birthday in importance) leading into the kick off and well into the first half, should be comprised of only our very, very favorite dishes, all of which must«travel well». This called for a detailed plan outlining choices from our 3 faves(Golden Wok, Golden Dragon, & Chen’s Garden), a tightly designed timetable for order and pickup, plenty of ovenproof containers for transfer, and much oven space to keep things warm as needed. Let’s Do This!!! From this outstanding, relative«newbie», we chose Shrimp Egg Rolls, Pork Fried Rice, and Vegetable Lo Mein. Not a single dish disappointed. The Egg Rolls here are cooked a little crispier than most places, and the shrimp are always FRESH. The Pork Fried Rice is sublime, the grains of rice are nicely separated, the pork tender and appropriately red in color. The Vegetable Lo Mein is special because the vegetables are fresh, large cuts, a big part of the dish, in taste and vision. One down, Two To Go.
