I love Mediterranean food and I am always looking food good Mediterranean food. My husband and I both ordered gyros and they were awesome. I will agree with another reviewer that it could use more meat, but the simple solution is to order extra meat. The flavor and quality of the meat was incredible. My husband hates anything with cucumber, but he ended up asking for more tzatziki. The humus is clearly homemade and so much better than any you could buy in a store. We ended up buying humus to take home with us. I can’t wait to go back to try more menu items!

Wonderful food for a great price, my boyfriend and I came here when we couldn’t find the Thai restaurant we were searching for, I wouldn’t think by their laid back appearance they would serve such quality food. I could argue the price of a platter for $ 9 is a little pricy. But the meat is cooked in front of you and tastes very fresh. Their hummus is a great price and is definitely a tasty side. We will be returning very soon.

Best steak and cheese subs anywhere. I used to eat here back in the 80s, now back in Greensboro on business and it is still the same. Fantastic!

Love it! I used to work at a different location in High School but every time I come home I HAVE to stop by! Steak and Cheese is always bomb and the grilled chicken salad is a tasty healthier option! Ghassans is a Greensboro tradition!

Ghassan’s was my introduction to Mediterranean food way back in the late ’70’s and I’ve been enjoying them ever since. Today there are numerous Mediterranean options around yet Ghassan’s holds its own with the best of them. Their traditional items of the famous Steak sub(the reigning steak sub in town for years), gyro, and chicken kabobs are really great. They offer these individually(with chips) or in platters with Greek salad and fries. Prices are very reasonable and service is fast. Ghassan’s has added some new menu items and also has items such as their hummus available for take out. A great place for lunch or dinner.

Walking in we were greeted and welcomed. They were very nice. We got the chicken pita and the steak and cheese sub. The steak and cheese was really greasy with too much oil and vinegar dressing. The chicken pita was really bland and the chicken was so dry. They had a selective menu. Will not return.

I love Ghassan’s it has never let me down. Their chicken salad is delish, as is their chicken and pitas. The place is always super clean, and I’ve never had any issues. The Lebanese salad is one of the main reasons I go. I just can’t get enough of it.

We drive 35 minutes to get to Ghassans and it is always well worth the trip. They have been a family favorite for many years. The chicken kabob platter is our favorite – with seasoned, tender chicken, chewy pita, tangy salad dressing… it is delicious! My son could eat his weight in tzatziki! You can find plenty on the menu to support healthy meal choices(grilled chicken and salad) or an indulgent meal(steak and cheese with fries) AND they sell their famous dressing. Don’t limit the dressing to salads though, it makes a GREAT marinade as well! The staff are always friendly and even if they have a line, service is fast. The dining room is clean and very casual with large screen TVs. The parking lot is well lit and it is conveniently located on High Point Road near the coliseum. Seriously… try the chicken kabob platter!

We tried this place because a Google search said that this restaurant has the best Philly Cheese steaks in Gboro. After trying it, I can say, without a doubt, that this was the worst Philly I have ever had, and I have had A LOT of Phillys. If you are looking for a Philly in Gboro, go anywhere besides here and you will be happier than if you went here. The best we have found so far since moving to the Boro is at Flip Flop’s near West Market. Avoid Ghassan’s.

I stopped in here becuase it just happened to be close. I grew up with Greek and Lebanese food, and because the Greek Festival is only in town one weekend a year, I’ve been in search for great Mediterranean food. I ordered a gyro with fries and salad. The gyro was huge, but when I bit into it, I realized there was only one thin slice of meat in it. I thought maybe it would get thicker as I ate more, but I ate more than half of it to no luck. Mostly it was lettuce and tsaziki sauce. Speaking of the sauce, this was good but I’ve had much better. The salad tastes the same as Pita Delite. The fries were hot and fresh and the only good part of the meal. On the other hand, my server was very personable and friendly. While at the business, I used the ladies room, which is to the side on a narrow hallway. As I was walking back to the front of the restaurant, an employee was walking the opposite direction toward me. Rather than wait for me to pass, he opened the door to the kitchen and stood there and talked to someone, completely blocking me in the hallway. I found that to be very rude.

Totally amazed that no one has commented on this great place. Ghassan’s has been here for years and that says a lot. Good, Mediterranean sandwich and salad place with fast service and a convenient location. Not fine dining, but the food, service and prices are excellent.
