Instinct: Salon

Finally! After 3 years of searching I have found the best salon in the area. My hair has been saved. Today I had the perfect haircut from Jennifer. She listened– she gave options– and gave me a great cut. Going back to get a gloss over my hair. Can’t wait.

I feel bad even posting this review about a haircut I got a few weeks back, but, after straightening my hair last night, I couldn’t ignore the tragedy any longer. My friends have described the layers I have as a graduated mullet or chin length bowl cut with the next layer at the middle of my back. To add insult to injury, my appointment was rescheduled 3 times and when I arrived I had to wait 40 minutes. Proceed with extreme caution.

I wrote my first review of Instinct Salon (Braden Cook specifically) back in September 2013. I have now been seeing Braden every 6 – 8 weeks since and I am continually blown away by his talent, hospitality and the salon as a whole. Not only does my hair always look fabulous when I leave the salon, but I leave feeling refreshed and relaxed after enjoying wonderful conversation with Braden as he takes his time to exceed my expectations. I also look forward to watching him interact with his others clients in which I see firsthand the consistency he maintains in getting to know the specific wants and needs of each client. It is apparent that all of the other stylists are extremely talented as well, but I would highly recommend Braden to anyone looking for an uplifting hair experience and also a new friend.

I stumbled on to Kyle Britt through friends and I followed him to Instinct from the salon where he previously worked downtown. He is the most phenomenal stylist no, hair artist if you will that I’ve yet to encounter. He has magnificently handled my hair from it being midway down my back to it’s current slightly shorter than pixie. All the steps in between on my hair adventure Kyle has kept me looking beautifully sexy. I alway leave the chair satisfied and sure that he’s topped himself yet again with the cut, style, and functionality.
Any time I overhear anyone I know, and sometimes don’t know, looking for a salon or a stylist I recommend Kyle.
I’ve recently relocated to the Columbus OH area and the search for someone to rival Kyle Britt’s talent is on. Hah, who am I kidding? Chances are that every 6 – 8 weeks I’ll be making my way back to Greensboro to Instinct!

I get my hair bleached and retouched by Chelsea, and she is awesome. I’ve watched my hair get longer and thicker and healthier since I’ve been her client. It’s hard to find someone who knows how to treat a blonde, and even harder to find someone who knows how to treat a long haired platinum blonde. I feel like a boss after I leave every time she does my hair.

I am fairly new to Greensboro and wanted to give Instinct a try after a bad experience at Chakras… This place is outstanding, I am so happy with the results. Ana did an excellent job with my hair (color and cut) and she is a pleasure to work with !!! They definitely care about their customers. I highly recommend this place. the prices are reasonable as well. Very relaxing environment. Thank you Ana and Brayden!

A little hole in the wall off Spring Garden, but aren’t the best places hard to find? Good service and great hair styling going on here!
