The Corner Bar

Drinks were strong as hell. I ordered a liquid marijuana and a blue motorcycle. After both drinks I ordered water. You can really taste the liquor in these drinks. Great drinks, sweet bartender!

This bar has been a staple in my life for years and it never disappoints. It’s a special place with great drinks and friendly faces. Kappa Delta Rho!!!

Good dive bar. I used to live about a block away and would always walk here and return home not remembering much. This was many moons ago. The smoking ban (2009?) really did this place some good. They have expanded and updated the furniture, bar, etc. They also now have a small patio that is enclosed hiding it from Spring Garden/​Warren.
It still caters to college folks as it did many years ago. This hasn’t changed much. But there were some «older» folks there. It is still small and can get packed.
Few things that stick out:
1)Parking. There isn’t any. Zero.
2)Price. Not as cheap as Mother Tucker’s next door, but cheap in general. Better selection than next door too.
3)Staff is still friendly and quick as all get out, even to «older» folks like me. They didn’t seem to mind.
I can’t imagine coming here when school is fully in session however. I am glad I am not part of that scene anymore.
Take this for what it is. A dive and nothing more. You can still come and chill and do your thing.

A really fun dive in Greensboro – they expanded not too long ago, so you can usually find a good seat at the bar. It’s a dive, but does seem a bit cleaner and friendlier than some of the others in the area (ie that foul hell hole, Mother Tuckers). It’s not really a place I go to party or anything of that sort, but more a place to start/​finish the night, or sink into an increasingly drunken conversation with a friend or two that I haven’t caught up with in a while.
I’ve been a couple of times, and in addition to the really great drink specials, the bartenders were friendly and even offered me some free food. They have some of the stranger and more fun bar games available too.

A decent dive bar. They have recently expanded, and it looks fantastic. The drink specials are pretty good. It stinks that the drinks don’t have such a great price when they’re not on special. Still, a fantastically fun endeavor.

Great college/​dive bar. I love the bartenders– they are willing to make you anything you can come up with and are very prompt. The prices are very good and the atmosphere is awesome. There’s also a small patio.

Nice local place with a cool crowd. Everyone is different and perfect in their own way. No matter what you’re wearing you’ll fit in. Saturday/​Karaōke night is really fun. They always have great drinking specials, pool table and a nice size out side area. It does get cramped but it’s all part of the fun.

Great staff! Decker and Kenny make this place very fun. I love the regulars, too.

This is a place that will be greatly helped by the new smoking ban going into effect in the new year. The ventilation is terrible, but hopefully when you’re not clearing out the entire contents of a Marlboro box.
Decent college bar that caters exactly to that. Three dollars for cheap bottled beer and that touch video game where you tell the difference between clothes worn by nearly naked models mean you can spend hours effectively here.
I mean, I won’t, because I’m ten years out of college, but there’s plenty of people this place will be able to serve.
