Macy’s

It seems more and more all the big box stores are becoming exactly alike just who has the better sales deals this week. I will say the staff was friendly when I could track them down. Store was clean and organized but I really could not find anything I liked there…

They are great at helping you purchase something. But be warned when you make a return… I purchased a pair of sunglasses from the sunglass hut inside on first floor. And as soon as I said I had to return them. the sales girl demeanor changed… she was cold and acted like it was the end of her world because I paid cash. macys should take tips from costco or other stores that just want you to be happy with your product and thank you and ask for you to visit them again soon… you want to keep customers, not alienate them and make them feel guilty to make a return… if it is such a big deal to have a customer return something that they are not happy with, why have the 90 day return as a policy? I had my receipt and it was only a few days. Macys… stop hiring these silly unprofessional college students… or train them better on customer service skills… I could’ve been the owner of Macys for all they know. be glad I wasn’t or I would’ve terminated her right on the spot… And her manager for hiring her…

The only Macy’s in town now. .. the store is fine, but there is one thing that the chain does very well: a clicks and bricks strategy. If you order $ 99 or more online, shipping to your home is free, and that includes the enormous breadth of the online store (far more items than you will find at any store in NC). Amazon Fashion does offer free return shipping, but the nice thing about Macy’s is that you can just walk in with what you don’t want (and your receipt) and then exchange or return it instantly (no labels, no packing tape, no pickups). One major caveat – the company plays major games with pricing, so you might want to check pricing before and after the sale to ensure that you got the best deal.

The staff at this location is always extremely friendly and helpful. On more than one occasion I have had one of the ladies working in the women’s apparel help me match an outfit and check how it looked on me in the dressing room. It was like shopping with a friend. I love Macy’s

Well, we’re down to one Macy’s now. The other one closed. I don’t think I blame them because the other one was in an awkward location.
This Macy’s is pretty good, though. They have a good selection of men’s clothing and that’s what I am there for. My wife does not care for the lady’s clothing section. She says it skews matronly. They have a lot of too sexy «tween» clothes for girls but a limited selection for the 30 – 40 range. And they’re the 9nes with the money! Oh well…

Very nice Macy’s location. Big, spacious, and I find it has a better selection than the Friendly Center location.

Here’s a tip for yall. When you go somewhere warmer than where you’re living, Go shopping!
Since North Carolina is so dog-​gone hot, their winter stuff was on some crazy sale.
I tell you what, Johnny got hooked up with a cashmere sweater, a v-​neck sweater, and a nice dress shirt for 30 dollars.
I know what you’re thinking, «But Johnny, doesn’t that mean you should give them 5 stars.»
Now hold your horses, Remember how I told you it’s hot in North Carolina?
The freaking AC wasn’t working in that behemoth of a store. That’s worth minus 2 stars if you ask me. Especially since I had to try on said sweaters to make sure they fit.
Next year, come spring time, I’m going shopping somewhere south to stock up on winter clothes for San Francisco’s summer.
