I’m 15 years old, and the food is great and is a great space for teams after games to relax eat good food and watch different sports on dozens of tv’s. I came here after a softball tournament that was 100+ degrees, 20 – 25 people were there and we were seated in 5 minutes with no reservations, the drinks were brought out quickly and waitresses were always checking in on us incase anything was needed. PS: I highly recommend the ribs and chicken tenders combo

We first went shortly after they opened and everything about it was terrible. The food, the service, value for the money, all bad. Chalked it up to a new place, waited a year, and tried again. Nope. Still bad. Not going for 3 strikes.

We’d not tried a burger here until today, so we each tried one — Alice chose the Jalapeño Ranch House Burger($ 8.59 with a side), and boring olé me get the Classic Cheeseburger($ 6.99 with a side), sans onions. We also ordered our favorite sides, Onion Rings and Hand Cut FFs. Both burgers were excellent, hand formed, nicely cooked, with a slight amount of grease. The Jalapeño burger is large, had fried jalapenos(very nice), pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato. and mayo, and while this was a very nice taste, dropping the lettuce and tomato, and subbing grilled onions would make it even better, maybe with a spicy mayo. The Classic burger was also very nice, and this also is a well sized burger, and with a side of their extraordinary hand cut FFs as a side for $ 6.99, this is a great value, and a great taste combo. The Onion Rings continue to be our very favorites, and they are not challenged in this area save for a little hole-in-the-wall joint in Burlington. We still have only come in for an early lunch, even then the music is annoyingly loud and constant — don’t see visiting here any other time. But this pattern works for us, and the food is good.

It’s hard to do nachos wrong, but it’s great when someone does them really right. Atmosphere is simple straightforward and approachable. Menu is readable, sensible, varied enough but uncomplicated. Manager and server worked hard to accommodate my needs(crutches) and peculiar sports viewing requests. Food was great, nachos were SMOTHERED in toppings, very enjoyable. Maui chicken sandwich was superb. Great place to be yourself and enjoy sports, always busy, but lots of staff to help out.

Been here twice now with mixed reviews and not enough umph to make me want to go back for a third try. First time I visited, I ordered the adult grilled cheese. i did like this sandwich and the soup that went with it but it could have used a second cheese to give some extra flavor to the mozzarella. I think it would have been a bit bland without the soup dunking. Second visit, I ordered the fried chicken salad. Totally disappointed. I would consider this very over-priced for what I received. Basic romaine base, very minimal amount of toppings, and two whole chicken strips thrown on top. They couldn’t even cut them up for me? Do you know how awkward it is to try and eat a salad with a knife and fork? Nothing special about it at all. My husband ordered the red goat chicken sandwich which did have nice flavor but got the onion rings as a side. These were a hot mess and I would not recommend at all. They are the shoe-string type which is not mentioned in description on menu. Came in a greasy sloppy pile on the plate with most of the breading falling off so you were left with just a bunch of soggy onion pieces. If you even wanted to eat them, you would need a fork. Not sure why they even serve them with ranch since you can’t dip them. Awful. Service and atmosphere otherwise was fine but typical of any sports bar.

The place was packed, even though there was no major sporting event. The staff was friendly and fast. I choose the ribs with onion rings and baked beans. The food was good but the baked beans took the cake! Loved the atmosphere & the TV’S are easily seen from every angle. I’ll def visit again!

So, my plane was cancelled and I decided to have a drink and appetizer at Rody’s to console myself. I never leave reviews, having been in restaurants for too long and I’m already critical as it is. This is my first– that’s how badly I felt after my visit here. Sat at the bar and watched the two girls ignore me while getting orders for guys next to me and then some regulars who sat 5 minutes after me. Served a Bombay gun & tonic with no lime? Had to ask for a menu? When did the Health Dept okay no socks for FOH? Bar wasn’t even busy, restaurant was half empty. Food was good– thanks BOH guys. The buffalo shrimp was tasty and plentiful. I would understand if they were busy, but to ignore a guest over regulars… after the guest had been waiting too long– inexcusable. Get your shit together girls!

I met a group of friends here and we ate on the covered patio area. The initial service was friendly and drinks were brought in an acceptable amount of time. Then we had to wait quite a while until some came to get our food orders. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with fries. I was asked if I wanted mild or spicy. I figured spicy is the only way to eat buffalo chicken. The food comes for everyone in my group, except mine. I did not get my food until most of the people in my group were finishing their meals. When I asked the waitress about my food, she didn’t know why it wasn’t there. The wraps were disappointing as well, lacking much flavor and had virtually no heat or spice to them. The fries were cooked fine, but nothing special. I did enjoy the beer selection and sampled various drafts with a flight. They also have various liquor and wine drinks as well. The restaurant was packed and was loud and lively. Not a deal breaker for me, but just know what your in for dining here. I may give it another shot later, but I’m not going to go out of my way to do so.

I eat at Rody’s every chance I get, the chicken tenders are out of this world, the fries are always very crispy and the burgers will keep you coming back for more. Wait staff is young, very personable and caring. The level of service is very professional and I always enjoy the atmosphere, with tons of sports showing in every direction you will not be bored while waiting for your food. I recommend this place highly.

I tried again. Almost a year since my last visit. This time for lunch. Unfortunately, I see little improvement. I ordered the«Hawaiian» Chicken that comes with Caesar Salad and broccoli. The salad is over dressed with a lackluster dressing and caked with wood pulp masquerading as parmesan. The broccoli, although cooked perfectly, has nothing on it. No butter or seasoning. I did ask for some lemon. The chicken had great texture, but no flavor. It was presented with a drape of rubbery cheese that was hiding the slice of «grilled» pineapple straight from the can. The only good thing I can say is that my server was attentive and apologetic. Hence, the second star. Can’t say I’ll try again here. Pity. I could walk here…

Gave this place a couple more tries and ordered a few different things. Fried Chicken Salad — This is a good salad. It only comes with 3 small chicken tenders on top of the salad, would be nice with a couple more, but chicken was very good. Enjoyed this salad. Grilled Chicken Salad — This is also a good salad. Comes with a good size portion of grilled chicken, cooked very well. I’m not sure why the huge portion difference of the same protein from one salad to another, this should probably be checked. Boneless wings — If you prefer boneless wings to traditional wings, these wings are good. Good sized pieces of chicken and they have several sauces to chose from. I went with the Mild Buffalo. Augusta Burger — menu description says this burger has Homemade Pimento Cheese. I expected that to be the mixture of mayo, cheese and pimento that is similar to a spread, however, Rody’s pimento cheese is some kind of shredded cheese. They use it very sparingly so it lacked flavor. I asked the server what their pimento cheese is made of and she was unable to describe it. I also ordered the burger well done and it had some blood in the center. She did not offer to get me something else. The burger itself was very greasy, as well as the onion rings, and like the fries I described in my previous review, not fried at the right temperature. Would not order this again. I would say now after a few visits to Rody’s, some items are good and some not so good. This is one of those places where you just have to know what to order.

Quick. More like fast food dressed up. Clean. Burgers were smaller than I expected. Reminded me of a C– version of Carolina Ale House. I’d return if someone else were paying, but I likely won’t go back on my own. Wasn’t worth the $ 40 bill.

This is one of the better sports bars I have been to. The place is huge, with tons of televisions, all of which are well placed so that patrons can see the televisions regardless of their sitting position. The acoustics here are great, and even though it was a packed house for Sunday Football, I was able to hear the waitresses and my dining companion. They even have drinking games to play during halftime and intermission. The food here is ok. Nothing really special. I have ordered the Hawaiian Chicken and one of the burgers so far. They were cooked well and to order. Their shrimp is also pretty good and I would recommend it. Service wise, this place did pretty good. I have come here twice on busy days and I have found that while the service takes a little longer than normal here, that is probably due to how busy they are since I always see people running around taking orders and serving customers. I would highly recommend this place is you are looking for a sports bar to hang out at with decent food. If you are looking for a casual dining experience and not interested in watching sports, I would probably seek a different place because the food here while decent, is nothing really special.

Rody’s Tavern is probably the best choice for a Sports Bar around Northwest Greensboro. It opened in the Harris Teeter Shopping Center off of Battleground. This is a convenient location if you are in Summerfield. Before your only options were going to JP Looney’s in Oak Ridge or Kick Back Jacks, which is much farther down Battleground, and in my opinion inferior to Rody’s. The place is huge and has T.V.s every way you look. This is the place to come watch the game and I’m excited for March Madness to roll back around so that I can soak in all of the games at once(only in ACC country do we get excited for March Madness in September). They also have a very nice outdoor area that has the garage style type doors, so that they can be lifted up on a nice night and closed on a chillier night. The beer selection is very good. They have a number of craft beers on tap and even more in bottles and cans. They also have pretty good beer specials for domestic drafts. The food is nothing exceptional, because once again this is a sports bar, but it will get the job done at soaking up the alcohol. The fried pickles are a good choice for an appetizer. The pickle chips that they use are thicker than most. Their fries are also good. They are of the slim hand cut variety. Rody’s is a good addition to the Sports Bar scene in Greensboro and is especially nice for sports fans out in Summerfield. The food is good for a Sports Bar, the T.V.‘s are plentiful, and the beer selection is extensive. All in all, Rody’s is a great place to catch a game.

Solid sports bar. Lots of tv’s so anything you want to see sports wise, it’ll probably be on here. Was greeted here very nicely and all the staff that I talked to here was very nice. expect for my waitress. She had a terrible attitude the whole time. Maybe she was having a bad day, so I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt for this time. I got the chicken tenders and fries and they were pretty good. Yes, I will explore the menu more next time, lol. Perhaps some ribs next time for me.

We had a great time. We went for dinner during the week — walked right in and got seated. The service was spot on and my food was delicious. Got to catch up with friends and the server kept our glasses full. Plenty of TVs, a pool table and out back they even have a fire pit and cornhole! Give them a try! Local spot with a little bit of character. Hope it does well in NW Greensboro.

First off… This place is a sports bar! It serves sports bar food and has lots of TVs like you would expect at a sports bar. It can also be loud because… it’s a sports bar. I am not sure why everyone is so confused by this. Now that that is out-of-the-way I can say that for a sports bar in Greensboro my friends and I all thought it was a pretty good place. We were there a couple of weeks ago close to their opening and they had quite a few servers. Most of them were quite appealing to the eye… kinda like you’d expect at a sports bar. I can’t remember our servers name but our service was very good. The waitress was pleasant and was there to answer any questions that we had. She handled our large, and sometimes a little loud(it is a Sports Bar), very well. We were there for a few hours and got to see the changeover in people through the night. Started out with a bunch of people, like us, there for drinks after work, and then became a lot more family oriented around evening trough time. After that it was back to mostly adults there to drink and eat sports bar food while watching whatever games were on the TV. Overall our experience was very good and we plan on going back again in the near future. Hopefully the next visit is just as good and, if not, I’ll update this review. As I stated already, for a sports bar in Greensboro, this one of the better ones.

This new sports bar just opened a few weeks ago. Had lunch with a friend last week to check it out. The place is HUGE! Very similar to Kick Back Jack’s menu but the space is more open. There’s a nice outside area with a fireplace too. Lots of booths, regular tables and high top tables as well. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was perfectly fried and a large portion. The fries were okay but could have used a few more minutes in the fryer. The cole slaw was just awful so I sent it back. Very dry and had a weird after taste. My friend got the fried chicken tenders salad with blue cheese. The salad was a salad but the blue cheese tasted homemade, very good. Unfortunately, she texted me an hour after we left and asked if I was sick. I was fine but she wasn’t. Not sure what it was but she won’t be hurrying back. Nice to have this kind of place to grab a beer and watch sports in Northern GSO and the servers are very friendly and on point.
