I’ve been to Scrambled twice now, and both times the service and food have both been great. The eggs benedict dishes are some of the best I’ve ever had, and the pricing is incredibly reasonable. We had a short wait both visits but nothing extreme even during weekend brunch — highly recommend!

Had brunch here on a Friday. The were busy, but did not have to wait long for a table. Service was excellent. Food was even better. Wife got fried green tomato eggs benedict and it was great, large portion and the grits were done southern style. I got the skillet scrambler with hash browns & biscuit. It was very good and seasoned well, biscuit was homemade and very flaky, try the fresh jams. We will be going back to try the dinner next.

One word: YUM!!! Greensboro is known for many things but restaurants aren’t one of them. Scrambles is making serious strides to change that. It looks like a hole in the wall but the food satisfies my savory craving and leaves me wanting more. I got the country style skillet which was filling and the kick from the sausage gravy complimented my over easy eggs. My boyfriend got the chicken little, another one of my favorites. A poached egg, fried chicken, and sausage gravy?! Who could resist. I love the staff too. They’re super friendly and work diligently. I will be coming back again and again. This is one of my favorite places to eat in North Carolina

My family opted to stick to the traditional eggs, pancakes, toast, etc. I decided to get the Chicken Little. Man was it good. Soooo good. Perfect amount of salt, creaminess and fluffiness going on. Just perfect for my taste buds. Now it also came with some grits. I’m normally not a fan of stone ground grits, but I’ve had some good ones, but this one… yeaaaaaa fail. It needed salt. The texture was a bit off and it was a little gravelly like in my mouth. Not a good look… or taste. When we arrived, were told it would be a while. Which was fine because it was the Sunday after Christmas and we had 3 kids and 6 adults. So clearly a large party. However, after people started leaving, I was curious who was leftover. I walk in and half the place is empty. One star off because it took me coming in for the hostess to say they could take our party now. How long would I have been waiting if I didn’t go in? They win with me because of my main dish. Work on the grits and you’d be killing it.

Anytime I come to this area, I’m usually going to Hops to eat. Was convinced by someone to try Scrambled. I felt like I was cheating on my favorite spot to eat in Greensboro,(I even hid my head as I walked in) but I said it’s worth a shot to try this place out. I started off getting their lemonade to drink. It was very sweet, delicious and refreshing. A lot of the stuff on menu sounded good, but I didn’t really feel like being adventurous when I ordered. I decided on getting the chicken and pancakes. Those pancakes… Humongous! If you go and you want pancakes, and your ordering just for yourself, get the stack of 3 not 5. They only bring out one small cup of syrup for these ginormous pancakes. Yeah… Think I might need two of those my friend! The fried chicken cutlet piece was cooked perfectly. Nice and hot as well. I tried some of someone’s scramble dish that I was with… Awesome! I’ll be getting one of those next time I come, which will be very soon.

Scrambled has scrambled all the way to a four star rating! My first visit I had rated them at three stars due to a number of things, none of which included the food itself. Many of these issues have been fixed, but some are possibly worse! Today we sampled the Three Little Pigs, which comes in a hot skillet which is the new fad at places like Scrambled. The pulled pork, bacon, sausage, two eggs, all on a bed of hash browns. Eventually topped with green chiles and cheese, this is a great dish that gets accompanied by a biscuit. The real winner, and now my go-to, the Chicken Little! Two fried chicken tenderloins that’s on top of two biscuits, topped with two poached eggs, and finally topped with their incredible sausage gravy! This dish is exceptional! BTW, get a side pancake for a taste of the best cake around! What hasn’t changed, and I now believe won’t, is the customer service from the wait staff! We had the same waitress as my first visit, so I knew right away that this could get interesting! We had eight in our party, equivalent of four two tops, and when five of us had been seated the place wasn’t busy at all. By the time the remaining party was seated it had gotten fairly well seated. She gave us such rude comments without really ever giving them, if you know what I mean. She constantly complained about our party being seated before everyone being there, not my problem, and then constantly wanted updates on their whereabouts. By the time we left, we had been there a little over an hour, she was tipped on three separate tickets amounting to more than she would have got had she turned one or two of those tables! The food is excellent, and possibly getting even better, but the professionalism of the staff is progressively worse!

My husband and I went while visiting Greensboro on vacation. We lived in G’boro for nearly 20 years, so this was a new spot that we wanted to try. It was amazing. Great service, even better food. I wish that I could have eaten every bite of my Chicken Little, but I would have popped. I highly recommend this spot to anyone that loves a great breakfast. One side note, my husband and I are different races. The server asked if we wanted separate checks, which happens often to mixed race and/or same sex couples. It’s very off-putting.

An excellent meal. Went on a Monday around noon and it was jamming. Parking can be an issue. Very small lot. Atmosphere was chill but warm and inviting. Nice mix of booths and chairs. The espresso was deep dark and strong but not too bitter. The ginger ale was amazing. I think they must mix their own sodas from house made syrup. I ordered the chicken little benedict. It was a large portion and a little bit of everything you could want. Savory sausage gravy a buttery biscuit fried chicken poached eggs. I would totes recommend. We ordered the pancake to split. It was huge and filled up the whole plate. The syrup was so good that came with it not to mapely. The breakfast burrito was filled with chorizo and black beans. It was spiced but not too spicy. We found the hash browns to be epic. Crispy but not greasy. We can’t wait to come back here and bring more folks.

Man this place is good. Probably my favorite place to have a sit down breakfast in the area. Prices are good considering the preparation and food quality on everything. I love that you can add a breast of delicious fried chicken to any dish for $ 3. I had the green eggs and ham omellette when I went, and the chorizo inside of it was the best I’ve had. It came with some perfectly crispy shredded hash browns and a pretty good biscuit. I still love the biscuit factory for the best biscuit sandwich in the area… but this one was quite good. The strawberry jam it came with was excellent. I tried a bit on my chicken, and it was a killer combo. My wife got some of the biscuits and gravy, and the sausage gravy was totally on point. They use Neese’s sausage, like any smart NC eatery would, and it was perfectly creamy and thick. Also, great sweet tea, as you’d expect from a place that bills itself as a southern diner. Service was very friendly and attentive, and the ambience is superb… awesome experience, will definitely go back.

This is an excellent addition to the Triad restaurant scene, and one that I think will be well received — it has enough of the classic breakfast items(done well) to attract the traditionalists(Alice & I), and more than enough twists, innovations, and interesting ingredient parings to be smiled upon by those always looking for something different, something fresh. The menu is indeed very broad. You can choose from flat breads, breakfast burritos, shrimp & grits, corned beef hash, pancakes, waffles, french toast, breakfast sandwiches(including a Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf sandwich), a variety of «Scrambles»(a couple of eggs with a combination of other ingredients, served in a small cast iron skillet), a whole row of Benedicts(you can hold that Meatloaf one), a very few salads, and even a daily Blue Plate Special, including Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf, Pot Roast, Chicken & Dumplings, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, and Fried Catfish. They also offer sandwiches — a burger, BLT, Po Boy, Chicken, Meatloaf(lot of meatloaf here), and even a Lobster Roll. They have an interested number of side dishes — Collard Greens, Ginger Coleslaw, M&C, Cilantro Corn Salad, Grandma’s Potato Salad, Vegan Chili(oxymoron there), soup of the day, pasta salad, and even FFs. We went with The Classic with soft scrambled eggs and sausage & toast(and a side order of hash browns), and a single Waffle. The Classic was nice, with the eggs perfectly cooked, as was the sausage(Neese’s, by the way). The grits are not an item I’d order again, there’s an ingredient there I don’t care for — the hash browns were very nice. The house made jellies are super. The Waffle was excellent, lite but with substance. They’ve made the interior lighter and brighter, much more attractive than before. The tables are small, and close together — this will be a loud place when crowded, and not especially comfortable — don’t see venturing in there on a weekend, but will definitely be back for a late breakfast/early lunch mid-week.

Our first visit to Scrambled was a little disappointing. We arrived around 10am for Sunday brunch and there was a wait(no problem, no surprise). We were told the wait would be about 40 minutes and gave our name and phone number. They text you when your table is ready. Genius! The wait ended being about 25 minutes. For brunch, I got the Mariner and my husband got the French toast with a sausage patty. We were both surprised and disappointed there was no fresh fruit on the menu. The food took a while because the place was packed. When we finally got our food, we were both a little disappointed. The French toast is really basic using four slices of pretty standard sandwich bread thinly sliced with some powdered sugar on top. It seriously was the saddest French toast I have seen in a long time. At least it was only $ 4 bucks but we were hoping for a nice thick slice of good bread as a starting point. The sausage patty was Neece’s — tasty and keeping it local. The Mariner came out in the skillet but barely, and I mean barely, warm enough to where I didn’t send it back. The eggs, even the whites were almost raw. I also didn’t see any celery or the sherry fondue sauce the dish was supposed to include. It was a bit disappointing and I also didn’t think it was a huge portion. It came with four slices of toast. I would gladly have forgone the toast for a better prepared skillet. I am on the verge of two stars for this first visit but I really want to come back for lunch or breakfast on a week day. I think they were just«in the weeds» being so busy on a Sunday. I also would like to see fruit on the menu. Even a sliced strawberry as garnish would have gone a long way to spruce up that French toast. Great to see yet another locally owned business doing so well here in Greensboro!

If you’re in the mood for a great breakfast spot, then look no further. We arrived a little before noon on a Saturday. The wait was about 30 minutes. But, we only waited about 20 minutes. We were seated and ordered two coffees. First score for this place is their coffee. It’s warmth in a cup that goes down smooth. When I’m out and about on these cold days, this is going to be my coffee pick up and go spot. Then we ordered… I got the classic breakfast and my husband ordered the sausage gravy in a skillet. They ask if you want some of their homemade jelly. Of course we said YES! My classic breakfast was the bomb!!! One thing is for sure, they know how to make eggs. They weren’t dry. They were salted perfectly and the texture was just the right amount of softness as an egg should be. Hats off to the kitchen!!! Lots of bacon was included and not one slice of bread BUT two were on my plate. Score again! Or, should that be two scores because of all the bacon?!:) I love the concept of my husbands breakfast presented in a skillet. It gives it that down home vibe. And, that’s what it tasted like. Imagine you’re on a farm sitting on the porch looking over your land getting ready to work a hard day. Well, this breakfast is right for you. Triple score!!! We left feeling full and very satisfied. We’re glad Josephine’s Kitchen became Scrambled Southern Diner. Awesome decision owners and management!

I really enjoyed my first visit to Scrambled this weekend. I like the cool atmosphere and tasty food. The parking is tight so coming early is better. Also I they have a different weekend menu. The one listed on Facebook is their weekday one. I wanted to try the meatloaf sandwich so I had to order something else. I got the biscuit and fried green tomato appetizer and the coffee drink of the day. The biscuit was amazing, They serve it with homemade jam. You must try the biscuit. The fried green tomatoes were good. They needed to be cut a little thinner and they would have been really good. The sausage made it feel like a meal. The coffee of the day was a chocolate peanut butter coffee. It was delicious. Overall great place with good food and service.

This is the second time I’ve been to Scrambled and I am a big fan! For some reason I wasn’t blown away on my first visit but recognized great potential so I wanted to give it another try. The potential was realized today. Starting off with one of their awesome Bloody Mary’s was a great beginning. They offer several types of Bloody Mary’s though the Classic version I had was great. If you’re in the mood for something other than a Bloody Mary, they have a full bar including several craft beers on draft On my last visit I had the Green Egg Scramble over grits which I didn’t love. I think the combination of grits and salsa verde didn’t work for me. So today I was eager to try a different Scramble and had the Country Scramble which was awesome! Scrambled eggs with sausage and cheese over hashbrowns covered in a country gravey. Now I know this ain’t the heathliest dish around, but I don’t care: it was fricken awesome! I’ll just get an angioplasty later. Oh yeah, it came with a huge homemade biscuit. The scrambles are cooked and served in an 8″ cast iron skillet and are a lot to eat so bring your appetite(or a friend). Their breakfast menu also features several versions of Eggs Benedict which are terrific according to my wife, and breakfast sandwiches as well as regular eggs, shrimp and grits, etc. If you’re not in the mood for breakfast check out their daily lunch specials or sandwiches. I highly recommend Scrambled for breakfast or brunch, especially if you have friends visiting. It’s more expensive than most(any) breakfast place in town but it’s worth it because it is by far the best breakfast place in town.

Well heres my review. READTHEWHOLETHING! Scrambled is coming around. We first visited the restaurant about a week after they opened. It was a weekend and they were very busy, the food was ok and took quite some time.(KEEPREADING!) We talked to the owner and she improved our visit by showing genuine concern and gave us a great deal. Since then, I have been back about five or six times. Every time I go it gets better; they are continuing to make improvements in the food quality, the preparation time, and have recently added a sitting area for those waiting that has complimentary coffee/tea. Scrambled has added benedict dishes to the everyday menu, whereas they were only available on the weekends previously. So far, the pancakes with the caramel sauce are my favorite. The caramel sauce is just delicious. They also have a VEGAN mushroom gravy that is to die for. Service during the week is often very fast and as you would expect a little slower on the weekend. I think the food is better and more consistent during the week as well, but they are continually improving weekend service. So maybe within a month or two I can change this four star review to a five star review. The important thing is that it is constantly improving, and still better than many other places at its current state. I still miss Joesphines(for those of you who are familiar), but they have kept many of their always friendly and delightful servers.

Brunch-ers delight! Great place in Greensboro for good brunch food. I have to say that the food and service took an unreasonably long time… However the food that came out was worth the wait! It was all so delicious that even though it made me late to a wedding(true story sadly) I could actually overlook it a bit when tasting everything. Drinks too were also very good. Outdoor seating was nice too. I will definitely be back when in town. All in all, great place if you have the time!

It was a true struggle on deciding whether or not this unique little spot should get 4 stars or 5. I settled in 4 but if I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. Parking wasn’t fun at all but we were lucky that my car is nice and tiny. We were sat promptly and with a smile. Inside was nice. It had dark colors with bright lights focused on the nice wooden tables. The chairs weren’t the most comfortable things ever but the booth area was very nice. Our server was so great. She was happy, perky, helpful, and gave a lot of suggestions. She was on top of it and we never needed for anything. The food itself came out hot and fast which was good because we were hungry! I wanted to try as much as I could so I ordered a nice spread. The waffle was nice a crispy with a fantastic taste. The eggs were cooked and seasoned nicely and the bacon was perfectly crisp. The cheese grits also had a nice taste to them as well and were even better when I added a touch of pepper. Arguably the best thing was the strawberry perseveres/jam/jelly. Honestly, when I tasted it I said, «oh crap that’s good.» I then proceeded to try it on my waffles, biscuit, and egg. Yes, on my egg. It was soooo good! They should jar that stuff up because I would buy it in bulk. My only area of improvement would be the actual biscuits. For me, they were very dense. I tasted several bites of my friend’s sausage gravy and biscuits. The gravy was excellent but I would have to say that it could have used more gravy especially since the biscuits were large and very dense and could’ve been more fluffy. I will be back. This will be a more«go» spot for me and I’m looking forward to going back.

Hey! Listen up if you haven’t tried this yet I think you may want to take up some of that good ol’ fashioned due diligence and head on over. We may have a winner! I went at around 1 on a Thursday so it had a decent amount of people both inside and out. Have to tell you that I will brag on and on about places that make really good Sweet Iced Tea. This is one of those places! Looking for quick weekend brunch this is your spot. The outdoor patio is so refreshing with the sun coming down. They have a bar I want to say full but I didn’t stay inside long because I wanted to grab that last table on the patio Every person spoke and greeted me throughout my visit and ensured that check-backs were done. Food really didn’t take all that long to prepare but it’s likely because of what I ordered which was the Biscuits and Gravy with Sausage(Soooooo good!), I have to have my grits(which came with cheese off the bat!), and my Egg over Medium(Cooked to perfection). You know after it was all said and done it was 11 bucks or so but for the service and the portions I have to say that I am satisfied. The biggest pro for Scrambled is going to be it’s excellent location right near UNCG and all the student housing nearby. The biggest con is going to be semi-limited parking, with signs warning not to park across the street at Papa Johns because you would be towed! I had no issue and found an empty spot right by the entrance. When I walked in I went to the bar and was going to sit down, then the bartender greeted me and welcomed me. I decided at that point I wanted to go outside. He showed me to the table and offered me some Water or Coffee so I chose Sweet Tea of course. He told me he would certainly take care of it and my server would be out shortly. She made it out and I told her what I wanted then the orders in. Not maybe 7 – 10 mins later I was eating. I about couldn’t finish it all it was so good. I’m overall happy with my experience at this location. Hope that if you read this give them a shot and I am pretty sure you will enjoy yourself. Until next time!
