Sub Station II

One of the better cheesesteak I have had in the area, good large portions. I had to use a fork for the overflow! Good stuff!

Had lunch here for the first time with my brother who eats here often. The menu is huge with every sandwich you can dream of and more. Staff was friendly and attentive. Went with the roast beef, turkey and provolone ATW (all the way) on wheat sub roll with a side of fries. The sub was very good and loaded with meat and cheese. I really like the «wheat» roll they serve here. Dark brown and almost pumpernickel in flavor, delish! The fries were simply awful. Straight out of the freezer and not cooked enough to hide that fact. I can tolerate frozen fries if they are cooked but these were limp and flavorless. Ketchup didn’t even help, sad. Saw some curly fries on a table nearby that looked much better, will order those next time. I will definitely go back when on this side of town again.

As far as subs go, these are some of the best in Greensboro. There are several varieties to choose from including the cheeseburger sub that is delicious. The building is a little old, but the sanitation grade is always descent.
There are soups of the day, however, I’ve only had the chili beans. The chili beans are super spicy and do not include a lot of meat.
I’ve never had a problem with customer service here, and the drive thru is fast and friendly.

Great sub chain that has an eye for quality. I got the Italian sub with hot peppers. Large portion of meat and cheese, crispy bread, and the perfect amount of heat from the peppers. I mistakenly thought mayo was included with the «all the way option» but alas. I love a good dollop of mayo on my subs and that would of set this sandwich into the realm of perfection. Next time. Oh yes.
They also have s fantastic variety to their menu, and the prices are definitely reasonable. Great drive thru service, too.

I stopped in to pick up a couple of Italian cold cut subs for lunch last Friday. Very disappointing for my first visit. The bread was hard and stale, especially the ends. The meat was the same sadly — dried out and tough. Not good! I really prefer small, local sub shops but this place made Subway look gourmet.

Great place for lunch, I’ve always had great sandwiches and salads here. I used to stop here about once a week when I worked nearby, now not so often since I’m seldom in the neighborhood. The subs are great, the pizza steak sub, steak & cheese and Italian subs are all very good, I really like their chef salad too, they sprinkle their Italian seasoning on it which makes it quite good. They also have a drive-​thru which moves pretty quick, unless somebody in front of you orders something that has be cooked like a steak & cheese, then the wait could be a few more minutes.

This is a great place to get a sub sandwich on the south side of town. Fresh ingredients, and made to order. I’ve only tried a few of their huge selection, the cheese steak and the chicken philly are my favorites. Prices are downright cheap for the quality and quantity served. Friendly staff and if you call your order in; it’s ready when you walk in the door or drive up to the window. I’d caution you to say «light on the mayo» to start with though.

I’ve been eating at Sub Station II for about 15 years and I have always been pleased. I still don’t know where Sub Station I is, but I’m okay with that. They’re salads, subs, and sides (potato salad, egg salad, etc.) are good too. You can’t go wrong. I will suggest that you call your take-​out order in if you don’t have time to wait, they’re usually pretty busy!

These folks serve up some good food, and they have a very broad menu, primarily salads and sandwiches. The ingredients are fresh and tasty, and the portions are nice. The crusty sub rolls are so good that I buy them separately for use at home — they freeze very well — then you just set them out of the counter to thaw — works well,
They have daily specials and combos that are a good value. The hot dog is nice, if a little sloppy, in the «all the way mode» — though more than a little pricey at$ 2.50 for a rather small dog. All the other sandwiches are very good and well sized, and their chef salad is one of my favorites. The Cheeseburger Club (½ for $ 4.69) and the Italian Sub (½ for $ 4.79) are especially nice — you can get a whole or ½ — ½ is usually more than enough, but please have it your way
The service is a little slower than fast food because your order is made from scratch. They have a drive-​thru, as well. Nice place, good value, great service.
