I visited Wright Up Ur Galley at the first Natty Greene’s Pints and Paws events. They had a steady line all night but it was nice because they weren’t non-stop like you see at the food truck festivals. My food came out pretty fast since there wasn’t a huge line of orders in front of me. It was hot and delicious! I had the House Philly Steak, the garlic aioli really added a lot to the sandwich. I would hands down gladly order it again. The seasoned fries are a great way to round out the sandwich(and your carb intake) or you could just stick to chips. The employees were friendly and able to manage the line quickly. If I am at an event where they are I would get that sandwich again for sure.

Wright Up Ur Galley came to Ridge Fest this weekend and as soon as I saw a lady walking away with a steak and cheese hoagie, I knew this was the food truck for me. My husband ordered the chicken souvlaki pita and I ordered the sweet and sour chicken Thai pita, both $ 7. We upgraded the chips to seasoned fries as well. I wanted potato chips because I’m not a fry person but it was too late by the time I realized my husband upgraded both orders. The chicken souvlaki was great! It tasted as good as any from any Greek festival. The Thai pita was overflowing to the point I had to eat some of it with a fork, and use plenty of napkins! The fries were amazing, well seasoned, and I immediately was glad I didn’t have chips. My husband was too because he knew I’d eat his fries. Even though we waited a few minutes to get our food(5 – 7 minutes), it came out really hot and fresh. And when I say hot, I mean I got all the napkins, walked across a field to a table, and still had to wait several minutes before taking a bite. I still managed to burn my tongue. Several people walked by our table stating they wished they had gotten what we had instead of ordering from the other trucks. This truck was rating #1 for 2014. I think it lived up to its reputation. Oh yeah, you got a lot of food for the money too!

Wright Up Ur Galley was present at an apartment complex pool party that I attended. I love when food trucks are at private events because it means easier access than at some food truck festivals. At this event they had a turkey panini on the menu that I tried. I don’t see it on their online menu which is probably a good thing. I was pretty disappointed. The whole thing just lacked flavor. The turkey looked like the circular slices right out of the packaged lunchmeat aisle. The fries had a good seasoning on them but I just couldn’t get over the panini. I would try them again, but would definitely get a different menu item. The thai chicken pita looks especially tasty.

WOW! The falafel is simply delicious — not too fluffy, greasy or over spiced! We tried Wright Up Ur Galley at the Unilocal event and went back for seconds. The french fries are addictive.

This past Sunday we drove to Kernersville for a late lunch with Wright Up Ur Galley at the Brewer’s Kettle. I was tempted to try the Angus burger listed on Wright Up Ur Galley’s specials chalkboard especially when she told me we could add jalapeño peppers. However we had a burger the evening before, so we decided to go with something different. The Falafel Pita, one of their vegetarian options, intrigued me. Along with the usual lettuce and sliced tomato, it had pickled turnips and tahini(sesame) dressing that added just the right amount of lemon and garlic. Three chickpea falafel patties were fried crisp and served warm in a toasted pita with the above fixings. We upgraded our side to a side salad(and they still gave us chips too — bonus). The salad was packed with chunks of feta cheese, chopped cucumber, sliced red onion, diced tomato, and crisp green bell pepper. A tangy herbed vinaigrette coated all of the vegetables lightly and imparted a huge amount of flavor. I can’t wait to try their Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken. We shared the House Philly Steak made with grilled meat chopped with a samurai’s precision, sautéed onions, sliced mushrooms, green peppers, and melted Provolone cheese that shrouded the steak like a warm, gooey blanket. The soft hoagie bun had been toasted and spread with their special house garlic aioli ensuring the sandwich was moist. Great cheese-to-meat-to-bread ratio, not greasy or gristly. The sandwich came with a side of ridged house chips. We split a Chicken Souvlaki Pita. Seasoned grilled chicken breast was complimented with fresh Tzatziki. I think I will ask for extra sauce next time. I loved the Tzatziki and could have used a vat of it on the shredded romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced red onions. We upgraded our side to an order of fries. They were hot, crisp and had been dashed with just the right amount of seasoning salt. Our lunch was fantastic, and we can’t wait to try Wright Up Ur Galley again. Wright Up Ur Galley offers a healthy and vibrant concept that includes gourmet pitas, classic sandwiches, and fresh salads, with a unique fusion of Mediterranean and American flavors.
