Found our about this place a couple of years ago, they have a room that is just for kids that will keep them occupied while the adults do their shopping. They have a BBQ pit on the premises, decided to have lunch there the food was amazing. Overall a great place to visit

I ordered the barbecue rib sandwich special and got 50% pulled pork and 50% sweet barbecue sauce. Where I live that’s pulled pork. It would have pissed me off so much if they didn’t put pulled pork on the menu also

Great food and great people. My son left his brand new iPod there and he found our contact and called us!!! Not many honest people around, but he is definitely one!

Surprise, met buy chicken at the front door(outside) the inside was clean with knick knacks and old style candy and other interesting things to look at. Had a Philly steak and cheese and it was huge and tasted great. My wife had pulled pork they called lipstick on a pig. Homemade bread. If you’re even just a little bit of an explorer you’ll want to check this place out.

There’s a live chicken in the dining room. …but hey it’s a country store! Really quirky and fun place with good food and tons of trinkets, unique packaged food and antiques to browse or buy. I’ll surely be going back when I’m nearby! Awesome experience.

First time here on way back from the zoo. What a great experience! Lots of cool stuff to see and food was good. The burgers were the size of my 9 year olds head.

Found this neat place when we left Claws –N– Paws, they have a little of everything in this place! We stopped in for lunch so that is where we headed 1st! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries and my husband ordered a full sub. It was busy when we stopped and I felt like they needed someone else working in the food area, whether to take orders or get the food out a little quicker. My pulled pork was very good but the fries weren’t cooked long enough so we were a little disappointed in that. My husband’s sub was large and he enjoyed it. The store sells a variety of items from your standard country items to penny candy and jams/jellies etc There is also a large toy area in the back for kids to play in with tables to eat at. They also have a big ice cream selection too!

This place is wonderful. Gives you a taste of Penn Country lol. It has it all from BBQ to Ice cream(tons of flavors) Chocolate Cherry Almond was amazing., semi precious stones, knives, cooking oils, jams, and the list goes on and on. The service is good here. The shop is just fun overall. The décor will take you to a past that most of us weren’t apart of. The food here must be pretty good cause I didn’t see anyone not smiling after having it. So let’s recap and expand on what this place has 1) An antique store 2) Restaurant for BBQ 3) Ice Cream Parlor 4) Fresh local made Condiments 5) An old arcade in the back for kids to keep busy, pac-man and they have this cool setup to where you can get local semi precious stones. 6) Hunting Supplies the list goes on. If you are in the area, this is an interesting place to check out.

The food is tasty and you are given large portions with very reasonable prices. The store is really intricate with many varieties of shelf life food options. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If we are ever in the area again, we will be making a stop in for the large rack of well seasoned ribs with 2 sides for approximately $ 15! You can’t beat that. I’m salivating just thinking about the ribs right now…

We just spent Mother’s Day eating amazing BBQ at the 84 and they did some work over the winter. I like the cleaner layout inside. They still have all the great stuff plus they now carry Manning’s Ice Cream! I don’t know why I didn’t think of it while I was there, but next time I am going to mix some Manning’s with their homemade fudge that I love. I had the Monster Cuban sandwich and could only finish half of it because it is so big. I tried the ribs and they are the best in the area. They alone are worth the long drive. My wife loved the brisket. The fries are amazing. Even the macaroni and cole slaw that come on the side are really good. They have Mexican Coke and a lot of other specialty sodas. The outside wasn’t open yet, but they let us sit out there and brought the food to us. There were 11 of us there and none of us had any complaints about the food or service. The staff was very friendly and were great to talk to. They have improved a lot since our first time there a few years ago. They even let me take some aerial video of the store and area( ). It was early in the season and they still have some areas to clean up, but the place is huge. We spent 3 hours just having a relaxing Mother’s Day and the kids were never bored. Afterwards we hiked around Promised Land State Park to help work off some of the huge portions. We have been stopping here while camping for years because the kids love it. Since they really have their whole menu perfected, the adults like stopping too. I’ll drive out here now even if we aren’t camping. They deserve 5 stars.

Mixed review on this one. The store part(rating 1.5 stars) has very few things of interest to me. I can’t imagine the type of people who would buy something here– or WHAT they may buy.(I actually bought some knock-off bath & body works scented candles here and some raw honey. THERAWHONEY I **DO** RECOMMENDOVERANYTHINGELSEINTHE«STORE» PART.) I’ve always WANTED to try the fudge but there is never any staff around and it seems like it would be bothersome to ask. Weird vibe, here. As far as the grill: They actually have decent food.(I’d say 4.5 stars) I’ve gotten lipstick on a pig or bull(or both, maybe?) and they were tasty. I also got something on the weekend when they were ‘grillin’ and the BBQ smelled so good from the outside, I got something BBQ’d when I went in.

Great place to visit no matter if visiting or a local. The BBQ is awesome & the sandwich deli is great. Kids love the store but they have something for every age. The owners are some of the nicest people you could run into & you can tell they put their heart into their business. My last tip is that if your a local or never been there at least stop in once for something to eat because the BBQ is by far the best in the area & yes it’s a lot better then Kundeluz BBQ.

An extremely touristy dive. Random stuff you would expect at a general store but nothing special. Everyone found something small to pick up at least.

The 84 Country Store and Pickle Pig BBQ has something for everyone. Country signs, tin signs, jewelry, jams and cheeses, fudge, candles and candies, gem mining, great BBQ ribs and brisket, country sides like coleslaw and collard greens, corn and baked beans. Excellent opportunities for fun photo opportunities. A great gift shop and meal out while by Lake Wallenpaupack.

Came here on a rainy Saturday to look around. The staff were super friendly. There were jams, cheeses and dips to taste before buying. They had a large selection of fudge which they also let you sample before buying. They had tons of cute gift and home items. They even had a small area with dog/cat items and treats — our dog loved the peanut butter bear! The back area has a play area for kids and a place where they can«mine» for stones. Out in the back is also a BBQ place that looked quite good with reasonable prices! I bought two jams which were excellent! Will definitely return when back in the area
