Don’t let the small size of this restaurant fool you! This place has a variety of good Italian dishes as well as sandwiches. From seafood to pasta you will enjoy a tasty meal at Atavola! The waitresses and waiters are all friendly and attentive to your every need. And the prices are reasonable. The main problem with this restaurant is that is has grown in popularity as word spread about how wonderful it is to eat here! So you may have to wait… beat the lines by making reservations!

Went for a date night with husband, fantastic! We sat on bar side, nice and cozy feel. Best pizza we’ve had in a while. We also enjoyed shrimp appetizer, all ingredients very fresh. Highly recommend.

This place is really good. Good salads and soups for lunch. The staff is always helpful. Food is always consistent and the prices are reasonable.

The last two times that I’ve been here has been OK. There needs to be an attention to detail, such as not serving wilted lettuce and tasting the food for adequate seasoning.

Very relaxing atmosphere! Great, cheaper lunch deals. I’ve dined here many times and the food has yet to disappoint. Will be back again soon!

Tried new bologna sandwich and it was burned on sides and tasteless. Very disappointing as most of food is good. Typically good food but as stated could have been better. I could have bologna at store next door and cooked at home and would have been better. Glad they added new on menu but need to do a better job.

I had the Italian grinder. It was nothing special, not bad, just not something I would order again. Nice atmosphere and I did see several other things that people were having that looked good.

This was good. You can tell the pasta is homemade. I’m not a huge Italian foodie but it was good.

Well, in an attempt to be laconic, brief, curt, and abbreviated, I only typed one sentence of four words. However, it seems that it’s necessary to be extensive, long-winded, even bloviating. So, having lost my buzz on an excellent martini(up, a little dirty) in the pursuit of publication, I will complete this entry with, avec, mit, con, «I ate the garnish.» PS, Average is at time appropriate. Unilocal gets two stars for suppressing my artistic genius.

I’m a big fan of their free wine tasting and have stayed for dinner after with larger groups. I wish I could say I’ve been impressed with the actual food. It’s bland, often overcooked and nothing special. It’s very expensive considering how cheap dry pasta is and how little protein is included in most dishes. It’s got a decent atmosphere and the wine tastings are nice, but the food and the food prices definitely leave something to be desired.

I think very highly of how great the food is here. I had gotten the Calzon and it was amazing. The wife got the seafood stew very good and super fresh. The mother in law got the noodle bowl. Very fresh ingredients and taste delicious. Little man got grilled cheese and french fries he likes them. The waitress is great with kids. This place is a must go

The pasta is really delicious! It’s always nice and fresh! Im a huge fan of their pasta! The price is about the same or a tiny bit less than Olive Garden. Not a huge fan of the bread they serve with our pasta though. Service can take kind of long sometimes. I do not recommend take-out. Always dine in. The portions are smaller when you’re taking out. The walls are surrounded by paintings and each table has its own candle. The kitchen is smack dab in the middle of the restaurant, so the lighting of the fluorescent kitchen and darker dining area collide with each other. It may or may not appeal to some. I personally like seeing the chefs cook. It shows they’re proud of what they serve. Definitely eating there again!

This restaurant had a cozy feel to the interior and looked like local art displayed on the walls. The place is small which adds to the cozy feel, so if you plan on going during peak dinner hour on a weekend you might want to call ahead for a table. I had the cioppino which was a seafood stew with a tomato base. It was very flavorful and had bit of a spicy kick to it. Also the bread it came with was great for soaking up the broth. My boyfriend had the fettuccini Alfredo and added chicken and broccoli to it. The entrees were great but I thought the portion sizes ware a tad too small for the price. For dessert we had the tiramisu and it was just awesome. The type of awesome where you force yourself to finish it even though you’re full. Overall it was a nice experience, and the menu had items which weren’t your everyday run of the mill Italian-American fare.

If I want pasta in Greenville, I go here. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and most importantly– great food! Try the crab carbonara.

I am writing this as I sit at the bar. Being of Italian decent this place insults me. Pasta overlooked Sauce is like watered down ketchup. Stay away.

Great menu choices and food is wonderful. Prices are fair and staff is really friendly. Have ate here several times as a first date choice. They had a good variety of choices in pastas and sandwiches. I definitely recommend eating here!

I am surprised to see all the bad reviews. I’ve been here lots for lunch and have always had great experiences. My family loves it too. They are a tad bit slow, but not too bad.

After several recommendations on this place I was getting excited about good Italian food. This is the classic American fare. I had the crab carbonara which was quite salty, but tasty in the morsels that had the crab that lumped together. Maybe there wasn’t enough sauce to flavor the rest of the linguine but what wasn’t part of the topping, was underwhelming as far as flavor. The Chesapeake chicken& shrimp pasta had a spicy old bay flavoring to it. The place is quite crowded(all the college kids and their parents were back in town) so snagging a table looked like a wait. So they seem to be doing business well.

Came her while in town on a business trip. Was very pleased with the place! First of all, I had some trouble finding it…(its next to Food Lion for those In my shoes). Food is fresh and great tasting. Service was great and attentive(my drink never went empty) though my waitress had very poor people skills. Over all I’d recommend this place. Probably better for lunch than dinner in my opinion, but it’s pretty reasonably priced and the food is great so you can’t beat that!
