Stopped back in here today for a panini. As usual, the sandwich was phenomenal, however, the pasta salad, which looked incredible featured in the case with pesto, Parmesan, and bright green sweet peas, fell short in multiple aspects. Zero flavor despite the amazing color. The sandwich made up for the loss, but still. Try harder VPM

Great for take-out. There are a few small tables for eat in. Quality, fresh food. Can get healthy items such as salads and vegetarian sandwiches. This is a place you keep going back to…

Always fresh! Best fruit cup in town. Bacon, chicken with ranch wrap is perfect. This is a very lite and refreshing lunch. Love how they have fruit water sitting out that you can help yourself to. Little on the pricey side for lunch but worth it every once in a while. Very good and would recommend.

I have a love hate relationship with my order. I had the turkey and cranberry panini. Some bites were good some were not. I was not a fan of the bread. It was not your typical panini bread. The roll was very hard and hardly had any Brie. Then there were the bites with the perfect blend of every ingredient and it was amazing. I wasn’t too happy with today’s order but will be going back to try other items on their very appealing menu.

I was really looking forward to this place, but unfortunately, it was a disaster. It is really cute inside and I love the concept of a little café with items for sale, but the staff ruined it. Simple sandwiches and pre-made frittatas from the case took 20 minutes to be served and they weren’t even busy. Finally get our food and my husband’s BLT seemed like it had been sitting there on the counter for the entire 20 minutes since it wasn’t fresh. My roast beef panini was great and that was the saving grace of the visit. My son ordered a Bacon Frittata. When there was so apparent bacon, I asked her if she accidentally gave us the Veggie Frittata. She said, «No, it’s bacon». After cutting it up in search of bacon and finding none, I brought it back up to the counter and asked again, «Are you sure this is a bacon frittata?». She admitted it wasn’t and told us to have a seat while they get us a bacon one. After waiting a while, the girl comes back and says they don’t have anymore bacon frittatas. AWESOME! So now we’re all done eating and my son gets a veggie frittata. My son is 4 and not really excited about a veggie frittata as you can imagine. After all this, there was no apology, no attempt to make it better and that is really what inspired this 2-star review. If you mess up, own it and make it better so your customers don’t leave disappointed.

A needed refuge from the pouring rain outside, Village Point Market is a nice small place that you grandmother or girlfriend would most certainly enjoy. Southern staples served up fast, I savored my toasted spicy pimento cheese sandwich with a side of curried couscous and cranberries. The cold craft bottled root beer was a nice touch too. Friendly and very attentive service, I was surprised this place wasn’t packed at 1:00pm on a Wednesday. Clearly a place that does most of their business with catering, but this would be a great, albeit not the cheapest, lunch option if I lived in town.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Greenville because it’s one of the only places that serves food that is relatively healthy across the board. They have a great list of salads, sandwiches, and wraps, as well as a really nice prepared food case with tons of great choices(baked salmon, stuffed portobello mushrooms, etc.). A few of my lunchtime favorites are the veggie delight wrap, herbed goat cheese sandwich, and grilled pimiento cheese. Seriously, they never disappoint. Village Point Market also has some amazing baked goods; the only downside is that you have to look at them on your way to the cashier! Talk about a major willpower moment. On the market side there’s a nice selection of beer and wine, plus small«extras» that would help make a great addition to a basket or hostess gift, etc. Another plus is that they often have their dips and spreads in a cold case, pre-packaged and ready to go, so you can take home delicious jalapeño pimiento cheese and guacamole. It doesn’t get much better.

Village Point Market was recommended to us by our clients as a good lunch spot and they were right. In fact, one of our team would have eaten lunch here every day had it been up to her. Village Point Market has a fairly extensive menu of sandwiches and salads. The sandwiches are served with the customer’s choice of side salads which all looked very good. Although all of the sandwiches I ordered were very good, I do want to call out the Pimento Cheese sandwich especially. This was the best Pimento Cheese I had while in Greenville. They add a bit of spice which really brightens it up.(They will also serve it toasted.) In addition, they have fresh baked desserts. I was especially impressed with the chocolate-peanut butter brownie. All of the items we sampled were excellent. In the«market» portion they have a nice assortment of wines and gourmet foods for purchase. Village Point Market was a bit more expensive than some of the other lunch choices in town, but they make up for it in quality.

very good salads and cookies!!! The people are very nice and the environment is nice, yet a little chilly in the winter. The door lets out all the warm air. Im sure its better in the summer.

I wavered between 3 and 4 stars — let’s call it 3.5. Village Point Market has its high points and its low points, but it is a haven of relative sophistication in Greenville. Looking at the website for this place, we wondered if it was a chain. Going inside the establishment, we wondered some more. I don’t think that VPM is a chain, but it has the slick, pre-packaged feel of one. Gourmet, organic, overpriced snacks are sold around the perimeter of the store — candied ginger, candy-coated pretzels, wine crackers — and there’s a decent selection of decently priced wine and beer. You can buy a bottle of wine and then proceed to drink it with your food, which is pretty cool. The staff is cheerful, though they are a bit overworked and have to vanish into the back after taking each order so that they can make it. This means the counter is unmanned for long periods of time. VPM has wi-fi and so we hung around for a while. It doesn’t really feel like a hang-out place(and there is an obnoxiously loud cooler that really kills the buzz). It’s fine, but even a place like Panera, where they frantically try to manufacture a homey feel, is a nicer place to hang out long-term.(Husband disagrees, as VPM is calmer.) We began with drinks. I got hot tea, which was of reasonably good quality and came in a twee little box. My husband got a cappuccino, and so we first must talk about the lowest point of VPM: the coffee. My husband has worked as a barista in several places, so he does know his coffee. He was super-excited to see that VPM uses Counterculture Coffee, which is top of the line. However, all the great raw material will not help you if you don’t know what you’re doing. The barista committed the following sins: 1) tamped the espresso, added more, then tamped again; 2) left the brewed espresso sitting for a good minute while going into the back for the milk; 3) didn’t purge the wand before inserting it into the milk; and 4) burned the milk. Any one of these things will decrease the quality of the beverage. Moving on from the coffee fiasco to the actual food: very good! Prices are a bit obnoxious, but not devastating. I had a grilled panini with turkey, cranberry, apple slices, and brie, alongside a curried couscous. I also had a slice of lemon pound cake. My husband had a toasted chicken pesto spinach mozzarella sandwich with a side of broccoli salad. In both cases the sides were the best part, flavorful and with nice fresh ingredients. The sandwiches were good, but nothing special. This is probably one of the only places in Greenville to get good specialty sandwiches with this range of ingredients, however. The cake was a bit dry, but flavorful. It’s difficult to keep a pre-sliced cake moist without adding tons of oils and preservatives. VPM does have a commitment to healthy, fresh food, which is great. But I hate the feeling that healthfulness is being pushed upon me. For example, they only use wheat bread and low-fat mayonnaise and cream cheese. Listen, I am an adult, and I will eat full-fat mayonnaise right from the jar if that’s what I want to do. I appreciate the OPTION to be healthy, but sometimes a girl — or guy — just wants real cream cheese.

A lovely little shop with healthy, high-quality prepared foods. Paninis, salads, good coffees, and a small wine & beer shop. The sort of place that keeps Greenville from falling into a pit of despair.

Delicious sandwiches, salads, and baked goods… and probably the only place in Greenville where food is across the board healthy and fresh. They also have an interesting variety of wine and specialty foods. Service is friendly. My only gripe is wishing that they served brunch on Sundays and dinner on Saturdays. They’re one of the few good restaurants in town and I wish they were open for more meals!
