Is it just me or is «I have to pee» a little inappropriate for the cashier to announce during my lunch transaction?! I mean, really. I had a great tuna sandwich today during a busy lunch rush, but the unrefined cashier knocked 5 stars down to 4 for this review.

Panera is pretty much the same every where but this one has a really rude cashier. I went in an hour before they closed for a bagel and boyfriend got a salad. Not too difficult. The cashier was sweeping and totally ignoring us. The manager walked by and said that cashier would help us. She looked at us but continued sweeping. I said hi so she came over and said ‘Ok, come on let’s go,’ So rude! My bf and I ordered. The cashier was wearing gloves while sweeping, she turned around to get my bagel not changing her gloves!!! I said something to her and she acted like a teenager ‘Ugh,’ took her gloves off and threw them away. She did get new gloves but made a big deal about it. The slicer was shut off so she cut the bagel then took it to the panini grill and slammed it shut. Just total attitude! I talked to the manager and she just focused on the food safety issue with the gloves. I said yeah that’s important but you have you keep customers so she needs to lose the attitude! I worked in restaurants so I know the type of work, no reason to be nasty, I just wanted a damn bagel!

My wife and her mother liked a pastry at Starbucks and I suggested they compare with Panera. In Greenville NC, Panera and Starbucks actually share the same building, so the test was easily done. We bought cheese Danish, chocolate croissant, a bagel with cream cheese and one other random pastry from each. The Panera pastry have a nicer look that does not carry through into taste. Without question we all preferred the Starbucks pastry products. Taste, texture, amount of cheese and chocolate, etc. The Panera bagel was slightly better than Starbucks but not what Northerners would call a New York style bagel. And specific to Panera Bread, I could not get a breakfast sandwich at 11am at any Panera I have tried. Next door Starbucks serves delicious breakfast sandwiches all day… and much better coffee. I would have given Panera three stars until my bill for six items and a small loaf of white bread came to $ 22. I pay for high quality, after the comparison, I was not happy that my money was well spent. Service attitude is outstanding in both places. In Panera you have to order at the front counter wait for your pastry and bread there, then go to the kitchen counter and wait for cooked items like a lightly toasted bagel. In Starbuck, they gave us our drinks and delivered the food to our table. Another plus for Starbucks. Consequently two stars. Remember, I am the one who suggested that Panera might be better than Starbucks. I was soundly defeated.

I got a spinach, egg white and Turkey sausage bagel. When I got it there was a quarter size amount of sausage on it. I brought it up to ask if they forgot the sausage and was told it gets 1 tbsp and they couldn’t give me anymore. I won’t be back. Proceed for what you get.

Fast and fresh food. So worth every penny. Great service and a nice, homey feel to the place. I love it here.

I love Panera’s food, but this particular store always has problems. They frequently get my order wrong and the drink station is always a mess. There is no where to put a drink down to put a lid on the cup since there is spilled drink all over the counter. They are also out of sweet tea regularly at peak meal times.

I stopped here for a snack and drink after shopping and was overall pleased with this location. I had the Cinnamon Crunch Bagel and warm tea. It was simple, yet hit the spot. I didn’t toast it so it was soft, chewy and sticky just like I was having a dessert and the warm tea was comforting too. I truly could’ve taken a nap afterwards because it was filling, quiet and the staff kept the tables bussed and bathrooms were very clean! It was a nice break from shopping and before driving back home. Overall, it was very colorful and set up like my local Panera but still relaxing and enjoyed the ambiance and food!

I ADORETHEIRFOOD! My favorite thing about Panera is the fact that I can order food online and have it waiting for me on the to go shelf when I get there. No waiting in the LONG lines at the registers. Fresh food FAST! Love it!

good value for your money on some food items. I have found that depending on who is making your sandwich, consistency varies. Soups $$$ Establishment definitely needs cleaning. Tables rarely wiped. Needs to be swept. Woman’s restroom is in dire need of a makeover

Love panera. Employees are super nice and you never have to wait long for your food. Of course I’m in love with the cinnamon crunch bagel and the broccoli cheese soup! But literally everything is banging

Have never had a bad experience here. Turkey bacon sandwich and green tea are my staples. Always fresh, always delicious, no crap. Cashiers are constantly up beat and courteous, and the food is fantastic.

Prices are certainly not cheap but considering they use high quality ingredients I’m okay with paying a little more. I rarely order lunch from them but when I do I tend to get a hot panini. I love the large selection of pastry items they have, which to me are reasonably priced. I normally buy a box full of pastries to take to my family out of town when visiting.

This is insane… 4.19 for this peanut butter and jelly sandwich!!! For 4 dollars you think they could have spread out the jelly/peanut butter? I NEED a place to open that is s better alternative to this Panara! Panara should be ashamed! The seats are tattered and floors are dirty. I was hungry and came in needing just something to tie me over till dinner– it’s 3 pm now. I have peanut butter pack in car that are 1 and contain 4 times as much peanut butter as this pathetic sandwich, does«Kids» mean worse quality? I never made a pb&j for my kids like this!

The food at Panera is pretty consistent no matter where you go. Unfortunately, the customer service at this location leaves a lot to be desired, and service is quite slow. Everyone seems to have an attitude. Note: I’ve intentionally made 4 visits over the course of the last week – 3 morning visits and 1 evening. I wanted to be sure that what I was experiencing was really an issue.

Always amazing service and food! I come here a lot. Nice atmosphere. There’s always fresh coffee which is a plus for me. Only complaint is it’s always freezing! I can barely sit and enjoy my meal because it’s so cold inside.

Great food and fast take out service! Superb lunch spot in Greenville. Be sure to show up a bit before noon if you have a group. Yet to have something on the menu that I would not order a second time. Mangers will take care of you of it if you ask!

I realy don’t see what all the fuss is about this place, at least not the one in Greenville. I think the food is ok but nothing to drool about! My bread was french loaf that was stale and hard. I waited a long time for my salad and then had to go to the counter to ask about my order. When they stoped ignoring me, they gave me my salad that had been sitting there, but they never called my order number. It was very over priced for what I got!

I’ve been coming here since it opened. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday makes it likely I won’t return: –Terribly understaffed. –Initially, my bagel was burnt. –Then, the bagel was barely toasted. But it took so long to get to this stage, I decided it wasn’t worthwhile to push things further. –Water for making hot tea was at room temperature.

I’m sorry, I don’t see the allure with Panera Bread… Every time I’ve eaten at a Panera Bread, I’ve left feeling both hungry and cheated, since their portions seem very small and very overpriced for what you are getting. Their food is nothing special. My panini was mostly bread — not much meat and cheese. Certainly not worth the price. There are better sandwiches in Greenville for less money.
