This place must be a big secret. I admit that Greenville is not exactly the mecca of great Italian cuisine, but Corleone’s is pretty good. I have had a hard time finding Italian food that remotely approaches what I have eaten in The Italian sections of NYC, Philly, Chicago, Boston, St Louis, and my grandfather’s kitchen. Without giving details, everything I ate was good to very good. Maybe excellent for the meatballs and the Carbonara. It is a little pricey for Greenville. I have to think that it is difficult to make a success with fine dining in this area at the prices it costs to produce it, especially when you can get excellent regional favorites, like BBQ, and the population does not have a palate accustomed to the true Italian flavors. That’s not criticism, I have no palate for sushi, so you can’t make a living trying to sell me sushi. There’s no Morrocan restaurants here either, despite the rich flavorful cuisine. I feel Corleone’s and a couple of other better Italian restaurants are swimming upstream in these parts because the market just doesn’t appreciate it, and you have to cater to the market.

Terrible place. I was severely dissapointed. The average plate there runs around $ 22-$ 25. For that kind of money I expect a lot. I got the«Five Star Scampi.» The meal was terribly bland with virtually no flavor to it. The shrimp was tough and the pasta was very undercooked. My meal was so unappetizing that I couldn’t even finish it. I ended up speaking to the manager, sent my plate back, and asked for a refund. I then went home and heated up some leftovers instead. Seriously, save your money and go somewhere else.

The food was great service was great. The owner shut down her restaurant to allow our own whole group to come in. Ordered the Cajun rib eye and was impressed by the flavor and the tenderness of the meat. Everyone at my table was happy also.

Based on previous reviews, we weren’t sure what we would get, but we tried Saturday night and it was great! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. He recommended a nice Cabernet Sauvignon, that was incredibly cheap compared to normal restaurant prices. I ordered the five star scampi and my date ordered pasta carbonara with shrimp. We received fresh bread with an olive oil and herb blend and a salad before our entrees. The bread was warm and very fresh. The salads were simple but great. We then shared both the pasta dishes, which were delicious. I didn’t find anything over cooked or bland, unlike previous reviews I had read. Everything seemed perfectly fresh and well made. At 7, a lounge singer backed by a keyboard player, started playing music. The tunes were R&B and pop. She had a nice voice. We were 2 tables away from the stage and didn’t need to raise our voices to continue talking. Volume level was just right. We were pleasantly surprised by the meal and ambiance and we look forward to going back.

My grouper was good, but overpriced. I would make sure to offer cloth napkins and bread liners if I was advertised as a «fine» dining establishment.

Lovely place for a birthday dinner. I greatly enjoyed the ambience, all the dishes in our party were delicious, the fish, the ribeye, etc. The service was friendly and excellent in every way. The owner Mary Caldwell was lovely and gracious and delightful. When they discovered it was my birthday we not only got the song but a surprise free dessert. We also enjoyed the background keyboard dinner music. I’m so glad we chose Corleone’s for my birthday celebration!

Decent Experience. Good service, but the food is overpriced for the quality. I had the sea bass, which was very good. My girlfriend got the seafood pasta, and both the shrimp and scallops were tough. The service was excellent, and live music made it a romantic environment which made up for the decent food.

While I think this place has plenty of room for improvement, it is still a fine restaurant. Came here on a sat evening and enjoyed the chicken marsala with the Douglas Hill cabernet savignon. It was good, but everything tasted too sweet, even the bread and even the dry martini at the end of the meal. I wish they would change the music to something less bland and maybe trade out the napkins for cloth.

Pluses and minuses, that’s what drives this review. From an exterior view, the restaurant looks very nice. The interior seems a bit conflicted. French, Italian and modern seem to collide throughout the interior design. We were seated quickly and served bread and seasoned oil immediately. The service was spot on, a definite plus. Ordered the shrimp cocktail. Homemade dipping sauce served was excellent. It was accompanied with house cocktail sauce. A plus. My wife ordered Chicken Marsala. The chicken was appropriately pounded and lightly breaded. The gravy was delicious but was pretty salty. I loved it but if you don’t like salt, opt for something else. I ordered Pasta Carbonara w/shrimp. It came with a side salad and house dressing. Dressing was bland, added salt and I rarely add salt to anything. The pasta was ok. The overall dining experience warranted a 3 star rating BUT my wife left her phone behind. Our server was standing outside the restaurant waiting to hand deliver the phone when we returned. Worthy of 4 stars and a return visit.

Great atmosphere, and appetizer great. Unfortunately didn’t find the food that great for the price. However did have the wrong dinner due to being ordered by someone when I had to take a call. It was not that good and more $$ than original special I wanted. Waiter said they would redo but didn’t want to wait 20 minutes when other party had their food. Not gonna rush back and not a true Italian restaurant as one would think. Best luck to them but after over $ 85 plus tip for a meal I didn’t enjoy not looking to revisit any time soon.

Tried this new independent restaurant in Greenville. NC. A cut above the casual chains which dominant Greenville. Subdued elegant atmosphere with a full bar. Menu has good variety of beef, pasta Seafood and one or two pork dishes. A bit pricier(entrée’s $ 18-$ 25) but you get what you pay for. We each had a glass of house wine(Reisling and Chardonnay) – good wine, lare glass reasonably priced at $ 6. My wife and I then split a crab dip appetizer at $ 12 –it was more than enough for two to share. The pita bread wedges were great are their own, but the crab dip was delicious. For dinner I had a scallop with pasta dish($ 24), very good, pasta done perfectly, which is hard to find here in the South. My wife had the chiceken marsala($ 19) which she liked very much. Her portion was large and she wound up taking two chicken pieces home. Entrée’s came with two sides – my wife had green beans and sweet potato, i had a side salad with my pasta dish. For dessert we split an apple cinnamon soufflé that was served with vanilla ice cream. Excellent. Again, it was enough to share but I also could have had an entire one on my own. Service was excellent – waitress was very personable, attentive and professional. Will definitely go back. Recommend to all who want a nice dinner out in Greenville, NC. Gave it 5 stars because this is as nice a place as we have been to in Greenville, but I would still give this 4+ stars even in Raleigh or New Jersey(where we are from).

Classy atmosphere and delicious fresh-made food. We are vegetarian and asked for the chef’s suggestions. She came out and and asked specifically what we liked, and happily made food from fresh ingredients in the back, including fresh homemade pasta. Very impressed!

Nice place with good music. Steak was large a bit over cooked, I asked for medium rare and was medium. Place just opened two weeks ago so probably working out kinks. Server was new and brought check mid meal. Hope they get their wrongs.
