Regency Salon & Spa

Having been left ‘high and dry’ when Margena left this salon unannounced (leaving both her employer and her clients in the lurch), I’ve tried numerous times to make an appointment with another stylist there. I give up. After being told ‘she’ll have to call you’ or ‘her book isn’t up here’ several times I just give up. Onward with the search for a new hair dresser and a new salon. :(

I have been trying to find a new stylist since I moved to Greenville a few months ago. I went to regency because they seemed nice and most of the stylists have great credentials, but somehow I was handed off to the bottom of the barrel. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a salon. I tried talking to my stylist afterwards, but even after I followed the protocol very strictly she insisted that I must have done something wrong or must be taking a medication I didn’t tell her about. Both really strange accusations. Whatever you do don’t go to Marie for cuts, stylings or perms!

Hi, Im Michelle the nail technician here at Regency and I have to say that I am so impressed with all of the talent in this place! I have worked in many salon environments over the years. and I can honestly say that this is a team of highly skilled professionals who are passionate about their work, and have respect and compassion for one another as well as each and every individual who walks in the door!

When you are out of town and needing a «cut» you sometimes take a chance at where you end up. Sometimes those chances do not turn out very well, but at Regency Salon & Spa — I met Margena — who was totallly awesome. Before I get to how wonderful she is — let me tell you a bit about this place — or at least what I know.
This Salon and Spa is located in a little plaza — right by Saskatoon’s, which is another favorite place of mine. There is normally plenty of parking and today was no different. After trying another place down the street without success — I came here and walked in without an appointment. The young lady at the counter quickly found someone who was willing to cut my hair right away — no wait. Though I do recommend calling ahead.
Sitting for less than a minute — I looked around and found the place to be clean — really welcoming and even more important was the mix of folks inside who were all smiling — as if happy to be here. Folks from a little toddler to an older woman who was helped back out to her car by the staff — that’s the type of service one would expect here.
Margena took me into a small room — «her» room where the magic happens. I’ve been explaining what type of cut I want for a couple of years now and never seem to get what I want. Margena — seemed to really listen to what I said and gave me the cut I have been looking for — it really did make me look younger — now that’s amazing! However, something happened before she put the scizzors to that hair — and that was her hands.
You can imagine my surprise when Margena gave my upper back, shoulders, neck and my head a nice quick massage. It was as if she knew exactly what I needed. I feared the cost of this service, but wasn’t going to say stop. She said everyone is a bit stressed out these days — so the little massage must be common. Is this why women go to these salons and I have been missing out?
After my quick but very much appreciated massage — she went to work with scizzors and clipppers until she felt I was done — then brought me into another room for a wash — OMG — her hands are like magic — it wasn’t just a shampoo — it was an incredible head massage — I think my hair was even dancing around!
Getting back into «her» room — she put the finishing touches on it and then I put my glasses on — amazed!!! Finally — someone had cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and I couldn’t wait to get into the Camero with the top down, sunshine, blue sky and the wind rushing through my new hair cut!
In about 5 weeks I will be back to Greenville — again for work, but this time looking very much forward to another cut at the Regency Salon and Spa with Margena! If you live locally and are looking for a great cut at a great price — stop in here!
Margena — if you read this — thank you very much — you made my weekend stay in Greenville on business worth it! Remember to spend some time with the grandkids too! Thanks again!

This place is enormous it’s so much bigger inside than it looks from the street. Jessica was my stylist and she did an amazing job. Will definitely be back and will tell others!

Let me just say, I have lived in many places. Chicago, Washington, DC, Knoxville… and the absolute best hair styling experience I have ever had was at Regency Salon. Suzanne does my hair and she is a very special lady. She helped take all of my ideas and formed them into a perfect coloring job and haircut. When my coloring job didn’t stick 4 weeks later, she would not stop until she figured out how to modify the formula in order to give me the best results. Not to mention, prices are very reasonable and the staff are so friendly. They provide education about the science behind their services as well. I can’t say enough good things. Just go get your haircut there like… yesterday.
