I had an absolutely phenomenal experience here. We sat at the bar. The bartender were knowledgeable and friendly, with great recommendations. Their cocktails are up there with the best I’ve had! I ordered the Delmonico steak medium rare, cooked to perfection. And the four cheese macaroni? Stop it. Some of the best Mac I’ve ever had. Overall this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had since my visit to Roast in Detroit earlier this year. Three thumbs up.

I was in town visiting and on a business trip at the same time. We were a party of 6 on Tuesday, April 5. There are no words to fairly describe an amazing experience! The wine list is awesome! The service was impeccable. Starting with the oysters Rockefeller, to die for. We had entrees from steak, veal chops, crab cakes and the lobster Mac and cheese side dish was fantastic. The best money you will ever spend. The atmosphere and ambience is classy casual. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend a reservation. We even got to chat with Rick Erwin as well that night.

Wife and I went there for our anniversary and it was a great experience. The food was great. Started out with blackened scallops, which were very good, but a little pricey for only 2 scallops. I had a steak Delmonico while my wife had Steak Frites, both cooked exactly as requested and extremely tender. The Steak Frites came with an extremely generous order of gastrique fries that were very good. I ordered an off menu side of lobster mac & cheese, and while very pricey, well worth the cost. That was the highlight of the meal for both of us and I highly recommend it when available. Lots of big chunks of lobster and cheese sauce was awesome. The staff was great. Our server Sara M. was very attentive, kept our wine glasses topped off and the food was timed perfectly, even with 2 very large parties going on. Rick Erwin came by and introduced us and the manager even came by to wish us a happy anniversary. Everyone was very nice. When we first were seated, wife was very cold due to a vent directly above her blowing hard. Asked Sara if air could be reduced and after a few minutes, it felt great. Very much appreciated. Cons: A tad pricey. Pros: Great food. Great service. Awesome staff.

My wife and I went here during restaurant week and we were blown away! I had the seafood bisque as an appetizer which had incredible seasoning and the clams were cooked just right. For the main entrée, I had a specially made skirt steak designed just for the restaurant week which was fabulous. The steak was tender, perfectly cooked(medium rare), and paired perfectly with the vegetable side. The service was excellent, although I think our server faked his accent to sound more European and possibly increase his tip haha. He said he was from Spokane, WA yet he spoke as if he was from Italy or France. Slightly odd, but nonetheless he was great! We’ll definitely be back!

Awesome. Perfectly cooked filet. Great service. Tasty side dishes(family style, ask for half-size). I’ll be back… as soon as I get that raise at work :)

This was the best meal of my week long, 4 state stop. YUMMY main dishes, sides and dessert! The staff was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable of all the items available, which was a lot. They also have a nice bar off the main dining area, to my surprise got very busy. GOTHERE, YOUWON’T BEDISAPPOINTED!

We had a 5pm reservation but were seated at 5:10pm because they decided to open when they were ready rather than just letting us sit. Went with the Foodie Fest(hate that name) menu for the decent crab cake, slightly better seafood bisque, and an awesome dessert. Service was impeccable.

It’s expensive – too expensive in my opinion for the food – however it is the best filet I have had. WARNING they will probably try to trick you into their«off menu» steaks. One of my party members fell under the colorful description of a $ 100 steak, mentioning the price after of course. In my opinion, there is no $ 100 steak; but the $ 47 filet was much much better than the $ 100. You have been warned.

This place rocks. Excellent service, wonderful food and a slightly overpriced wine list. That being said, the sommelier offered a suggestion on a terrific cab(Emblem by Michael Mondavi) which was a terrific value, best value on the list in my opinion. The bone in filet, while a special was perfectly cooked(is it bad to gnaw on the bone after using a knife and fork?). Double cut pork chopped — perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend West End Grille for a special occasion or an expense account meal. I will be back(maybe tonight!).

Delicious!!! My first time and was very impressed. My husband and I were celebrating our 17 anniversary and they did not disappoint. Our service was perfect and the food was excellent. I recommend the crab cake and crème brulee. Very excited to be relocating to the area!

Have been here many times and it is always good. Tonight I tried the carpaccio and foi gras for the first time. Wow. Both were good. would highly recommend the foi gras. I had the petit filet medium rare and it was great. Next time I would state no cracked black pepper. Rick Erwin himself stopped by our table. The wine guy came by the table and recommended a white that went very well with our meal. The dessert of the Reese’s peanut butter chocolate dessert was amazing. Worth every calorie. I couldn’t drop eating tit

Our go to place when in Greenville visiting from Dallas. A friend introduced us to the restaurant and the staff and we are always extremely happy with food, service and management.

Food is a bout a 4, but the service and hospitality of the staff was outstanding. Really worth a try in the congested downtown Greenville food choices.

Rick Erwin’s, like several of the fancy schmancy Greenville hot spots, is decent but a little forgettable. The service was great as far as hostess and initial seating, but our server was a a little overwhelmed and therefore could not provide adequate time addressing the table’s needs. The resturant itself was ROASTING hot and that probably impacted my experience too because I was sweating bullets. We had steaks and sides… all good but nothing really spectacular. I was expecting the crème de la crème but was disappointed. Also was a little underwhelmed by our server’s lack of wine knowledge. For out of town guests, this place presents well and will probably make a good impression. But if you are a local and looking for a special meal out there are other places you can go that have a more unique experience asthetically and menu wise.

I love this place. Elegant and classy. Steaks are amazing and appetizers could be a gourmet meal themselves. Perfect for a classy date night. I do believe the service is some of the best in town, however I recommend you give yourself all night to be here. Takes a while to get orders and seated.

The Filet Mignon was superb! The crab cake was«slap yo momma» delicious! The seafood bisque was smooth, creamy, and oh so yummy! The ambiance was nice but a little too dark to comfortably read the menu. The mash potatoes were excellent! The asparagus cooked to perfection! And the mushrooms… I don’t like mushrooms but theirs was scrumptious! I had strawberry short cake for desert… good…but nothing to write home about!

The restaurant has good interiors and the wait staff is courteous. We had the Seafood Bisque, Lemon Chicken and Cheese cake. Liked them. Although it’s accepted that this is a fining dining restaurant, but the rates are on the higher side. My opinion: Can try once, for the food not for the price though.

Another fantastic night at Rick Irwin’s. I prefer to eat at the bar but the dinning room is just as nice. Service is terrific from the moment you pull up to the valet, walk through the door and into the bar. Everyone… and I mean everyone you come in contact with says hello with a smile on your face. If Rick is in the house he will make you feel like you are old friends and been coming for years. I love the shrimp cocktail, warm goat cheese salad and sliced 7 oz filet off the bar menu as my go to dinner of choice. I have never had a bad meal at RIs!
