This is a good Christian bookstore. The owner goes to my church. They try to not just have a lot of books, but a lot of good quality ones. It is a small store, so they have to pick their books wisely. They can order books you want or need. They have a small nice staff. Not usually very busy. They have a somewhat awkward location, but it’s worth a visit. I like to buy my books here even if it costs a couple extra dollars than it would online to support a local Christian bookstore. They do have music and cards, too. I also get Bible highlighters from here. Berean Bookstore in Southport went out of business, so this is really the only place to go other than Family Christian Stores.

Tree of Life is a cozy, independently-owned alternative to chain Christian bookstores. They’re not bad, but Tree of Life offers a more personalized feel to your shopping experience. The staff is friendly, and while it’s been a while since my last visit, I do know that they had a pretty impressive selection of Christian books, church supplies and educational materials. They’ve recently expanded and have added much more in the gift area, so I will have to stop back by for some holiday shopping and see how they compare to the larger chains in the industry!
