Brings to life a good mix of down home Cajun cooking. Gumbo was on par and the boudin hit the spot. Good atmosphere with perfect music. Prices are in a good spot and a decent location. Good for family’s and a quick bite. Will be back!

I didn’t think it was great. It was really a Cajun fast food restaurant — lots of stews that have been kept warm for hours. I prefer food cooked to order, even if it takes a little longer.

Quick and attentive service food is great. Price is pretty decent too. Got the crawfish étouffée and bayou boogie sampler for $ 8 and it was full of flavor and didn’t skimp on crawfish or meat, not to mention it hit the spot. I followed their food cart in Clackamas and am glad they’ve established a brick and mortar restaurant. Will be back for sure

Not bad at all. The prices are super good for what you get. It was my first time ever trying Cajun food. I got the crawfish étouffée and it wasn’t anything out of this world but it was good. I’d come back

If you’re looking for some quick but very tasty Cajun food, this is the place to go. Had the gumbo and sausage roll. Sausage roll was good, great flavor — the bread was a little hard. On the flip side, the gumbo was amazing. Great flavor, perfect portions. Every one else said the rice is over cooked… Mine was great and I enjoyed it all! Will be returning again to try something else! PS: Thanks for the punch card. Great customer service.

After reading the Unilocal reviews, I dropped by for lunch today. Had the Bayou Boogie. It was quite good and a HUGE portion for the price. I will be going back. Friendly guy, too. I took my meal and sat out on the sidewalk, so I don’t know about the service inside.

Variety very limited; taste very mediocre I had the mix plate and did not like the taste at all

This is my go-to for good food, fast. I grew up in the south, and had exposure to Cajun. The menu offerings are honest and very tasty. I don’t find anything to be spicy. I have had everything on the menu nearly, and all of it is good. If crawfish or gumbo isn’t your game, red beans and rice is delicious. So is the boudin. The serving sizes are very adequate. You’ll likely have leftovers, and they are leftovers you’ll be more likely to actually hang on to. The restaurant is nice for sitting or take out, and the workers are incredibly nice. The place is clean. I recommend the bayou boogie or the red beans and rice, with a boudin.

Nice little restaurant for downtown Gresham. Food tasty but menu limited. I had the sampler. Good fresh tasting crawfish and the sausage role with mustard was excellent. I will go back

Well, i mostly eat Cajun food at home so maybe I am too harsh. Flavored pretty well but the crawfish didn’t seem fresh and was mushy. I’m willing to try again based on the other reviews. Big portions of étouffée so I don’t think $ 8 is too much. I will try something else next time. Nice people.

A great addition to the neighborhood, I think they will do well. We got takeout — an order of crawfish et tu fe, red beans and rice, and gumbo. The crawfish had great aroma. It seemed just a bit ‘fishy’ in a way I was’t expecting, but I enjoyed it. It was probably my least favorite of the three. The gumbo had a deep, rich smokey flavor. It was good, and I enjoyed putting some hot sauce on it. The red beans and rice were my favorite. Lots of flavor. At $ 8 for an entrée, it isn’t exactly the cheapest takeout, but it is reasonable. The portions are large enough that I think we’ll likely share an entrée in the future, which would make it quite affordable. Give it a shot, I think you’ll enjoy it.

This place was great. The food was delicious and exactly what I was hoping it would be. The crawfish was cooked perfectly and the red beans and rice have awesome flavor. And inexpensive for the amount of food you get. Still working out the kinks of the place but it’s worth a try. They should have beer though. Would have given five stars for that.

We had a great time checking out their new digs. We had been to the food cart and thoroughly enjoyed it. We got the Red Beans and Rice, which I loved and we also shared the Sampler which included Half a Bayou Boogie, and Half Crawfish Étouffée. The food is just as great as always but the new location is what seals the deal. We don’t get to Historic Gresham very often, but whenever we do I always appreciate the simplicity of it. Such a great area to walk around and now there is another great restaurant.

I did a double take in my car driving by here. I then parked my car and walked straight in already craving the food. I ended up purchasing 2 crawfish étouffées to go and hurried home to dig my fork into it! Huge portions and lots of crawfish through and through. For those of you that think it will be spicy I would not be too worried. I had my Louisiana hot sauce at home though so I poured it on liberally. Some folks use ketchup on their food. I use hot sauce. This is another delight to see on Main St. in Gresham. It’s becoming Restaurant Row(with NO chains — imagine that??) around here. And I am in my element!

This place has potential. I grew up in south Louisiana and know what Cajun food is supposed to taste like. I was pleasantly surprised when trying the sausage and tasso to find it tasted exactly like what I used to get back home. The staff indicated that it was indeed brought in from Louisiana. This is awesome because I have tried every andouille sausage you can find anywhere in the Portland area and none have been remotely close. This was indeed the real thing. The crawfish etoufe is a good bet. Tasted great and not too rich. Just right. Wasn’t a big fan of the bayou boogie. The pork was really tough and rubbery and the gravy was a bit bland. Will give it a second try though because the sausage and tasso was excellent. They were out of gumbo and boudin when I went by but I’m looking forward to trying both.

So I went here with my dad. He had the bayou boogie and I had the sampler which was half crawfish and half boogie. Served on a massive bed of absolutely bland way over cooked rice with no salt, the bayou boogie wasn’t that good and the portion was minuscule. However the crawfish was tasty and the overall taste of all the food was dramatically improved with the addition of their house brand creole seasoning and Tabasco. The iced tea was identifiable as iced tea but the weak flavor definitely left me wanting. Better than being over brewed which is undrinkable. In the end we picked up and split a Reuben from Arby’s to find satisfaction. Update: sorry I just can’t buy into the soft launch line. No signage saying food might not be up to par and was charged full price. If your charging people full price and expecting customers to be your guinea pigs then their are serious flaws in how you conduct business. It shows a serious disregard and lack of respect for your customers
