Highland View Apartments

Our awful experience included:
— no A/​C and regularly over 90 degrees in the apartment in the summer time
— multiple dogs off of the leash with no management recourse; one attacked me and my dog
— having to vacate the apartment (or have to pay a fine) in order for pesticides to be sprayed in our apartment because adjacent units were infested
— being charged extra per month for an «updated» apartment and month-​to-​month lease
— trash and undergarments strewn on the lawn, mailboxes, etc. on a daily basis
— being charged for normal wear and tear and items we put on move-​in inspection as being flawed when we got there
— hearing gunshots throughout the days due to the gun club on 174^th (little did we know about this before moving in)
— learning there is a city service that picks up shopping carts from parking lots; even so, abandoned shopping carts on the lawn and parking lot were the norm
— drugs and sketchiness abounds
— 30 page lease guarantees they have had you sign something that gives them protection for their actions
Even the managers don’t stick around — there were 5 different managers of the complex in less than a year.
Beware — you can do better.

This place sucks. Lived here only 8 months and the 8 months have been terrible. The «manager» doesn’t do anything at all, huge packs of unsupervised kids play ball in the parking lot, ghetto gangster type people everywhere. Overpriced as well, 850 for a shitty tiny apartment. Worst place I have ever lived hands down. Don’t do it!
