The food here is good, way better than Carretas that is for sure. I grew up and lived in Southern California for 36 years before moving here so my opinion of «authentic» Mexican food is slanted due to that. My favorite Mexican food is chili rellenos and they are good but the way they are made appears to be a layer of cooked scrambled egg wrapped around the chile. The way I make them at home, which I believe to be more authentic, is to dip the chiles in the whipped egg white and fry. More work? Yes, but it’s worth it. Also, their margaritas give me a headache.

From when you walk in it just feels like a nice place. The bar is great to watch sporting events. Prices are very fair considering the food it very good. The employees are very nice and courteous. I do not even consider other Mexican food restaurants in the Gresham area now I found this place. It’s worth a try if you have not been yet! It’s about time Gresham got a quality restaurant!

Mojave has a great selection of traditional Mexican favorites and some new twists. Their margaritas are delicious & a great accompaniment to the fresh chunky guacamole and chips. Oh so good! There is nothing petite about the«Petite Calorie Salad.» This salad has such great flavor that it doesn’t need the extra calories of salad dressing. Add avocado slices to top it off. The enchiladas blanco are to die for! The cream sauce has a wonderful tangy zip that makes every bite a delight! For all the meat lovers out there; you cannot go wrong with the Pork Shank. The meat literally falls off the bone. Fabulous! Mojave has a great bar with terrific appetizers & happy hour hour, but is also family friendly in the restaurant. There’s also an upstairs rooms that can be rented out at reasonable rates for parties and gatherings. Mojave, we are so glad you are in Gresham! Five Stars!!!

My husband and I got married 3 months ago, very last minute planned the wedding the night before. I called and spoke to the female owner, I had no idea on guest count or anything so other restaraunts didn’t even want to speak with me until I knew the guest count, she was so amazing, she took care of everything and kept in touch with me throughout to make sure everything was good to go! She decorated for a very small fee, we had a dj, a bar upstairs, we were able to bring our own cake, and everyone was able to order food! It truly was amazing and smooth, we had no issues what so ever! Based on the experience I had with the owner I’d support the business, the food is great, the staff is friendly, and the owners are great people, we need more places like this!

They have Pfrim Pilsner on tap and their Chile Colorado and Carnitas are standouts. Friendly service and a lots of TV’s tuned to whatever sporting events are on.

My husband & I love Mojave! We moved to Gresham last year and I’m so glad we’re so close to this Mexican restaurant. Their flautas are AMAZING, guacamole is sooo good, and the drinks are pretty fun!

After a Sunday of mid-winter cleaning I was ready for a cocktail and food. Driving down Main Street I was disappointed that a bar wasn’t standing out. I turned the corner and Mojave caught my eye with its 30 foot bar. Street parking was easy and the long ass bar had lots of seats available. The ambience is nice with plenty of seating, though in the bar it feels a bit like a cafeteria. They have an upstairs that is available for private events, rental starts very LOW. Plenty of big screens for sports, but the best feature besides an all day Sunday Happy Hour was the FANTASTIC service. Mario, their super charming bartender makes a dangerously good $ 5 margarita. The food is tasty and reasonable off the happy hour menu. They are working towards getting the brewery open soon like all the cool kids. Try the grilled fish tacos! We will definitely be back soon! Thanks Mario! Pros: excellent service, excellent happy hour food, and drinks in pineapples. Cons: Not much Mexican street food! sigh. cafeteria seating in the bar area. Pros: service, all day happy hour on Sunday, tasty food, big screens for sports.

Attend a wedding reception here and everything was fabulous!!! Our group arrived early and the staff dealt with it very professionally and got us in fast. All the food was good and exceptional quality for a buffet. I would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back and try out the restaurant. Good job Mojave Grill!

The worst service ever. Mediocre food. (This is from the summer time of 2015 but I still cannot get this visit out of my mind) We got seated right away. 10 min goes by. Every other table got greeted by waitresses except ours. We thought ok we must be in one of those hard to see tables(in the middle of the restaurant) We asked the hostess if we could get a server. She was very nice and apologized and said she would get us chips and water. Another 5 min goes by and a bus boy delivers chips. We ask if we could get some salsa. He said sure and brought the salsa to another table. The table next to us had already gotten their order taken now. We decided to give them one more chance and go back up to the hostess. She apologized again. This really apologetic woman comes to our table says she is the owner and can take our order. I asked her since we have been there now for 20 – 25 min and the next table is now getting their food«now if you take my order your going to check on us and not just take our money right?» She said«oh my goodness yes». We let her take our order and never saw her again. Another server was walking around the restaurant asking each table if they ordered the food. That server did walk by again and we asked for another drink. She quickly brought our check, but not the drinks we just ordered. Ok time to go and never come back.

Mojave is new to the block! And I’m actually very excited that we have a good Mexican Cantina right around the corner from my parents house. Greshem needs a little spice in their life. Very friendly employees, always check on us make sure that we had everything to our liking. And also talk to us about the new brewery that they’re opening up soon! I was sad to see the Oldbury location go, but they insured us that there IPAs and their Mexican beers would be very very good. I’m excited to see what they have to offer!!!

This is my favorite Mexican food place in Gresham. The fish tacos are amazingly delicious, always fresh and large portions. I don’t normally like margaritas but the ones here are SOGOOD. They make their own mix for the lime margaritas and even the flavored ones aren’t too sweet. Very choice. The servers are always nice and the atmosphere is great, kinda like a sports bar if you sit in the bar sections and they have quite a few large tvs playing different games.

Not only I love the name… but the service and drinks are also excellent! The margarita comes in like 20 flavours(prickly pear, guava, papaya, coconut, etc etc). good looking and professional servers with a sports bar /tex mex spin. Totilla soup cna be made vegeterian and it was not starchy or heavy at all.

Great atmosphere :-) wide open space, fun and energetic. I’d come here again but next start time will start off with desert. I give it one more star if the staff made sure we had napkins and ice water…

The food is still wonderful, some of the waiters are better but still lack in the welcoming feeling.

The ambience is nice and the service was fantastic. I found the food to be uninspired and over-priced. I felt like I was eating at a Mexican-American restaurant 15 years ago. We had a taco salad, a cheeseburger and an $ 11 tostada. The cheeseburger was the best plate.

They were pretty good. Their salsa and chips were really good and their guacamole was fantastic. The service was excellent(we were at a memorial dinner upstairs and our server was Melinda) and the food was pretty standard(but good, not greasy) mexican food. I loved the shredded chicken in the build your own taco buffet. Usually I’m not a fan of spanish rice, but theirs was so tasty! I didn’t get any alcoholic drinks, but my brother in law did, he ordered a large beer and didn’t realize exactly how large 32 oz was. Decent price for that much beer. I got their fried ice cream, beware, the service size is big enough for an entire table of 4. Pretty good experience, though. Beautifully decorated, very modern, good prompt service with a friendly waitress. If I’m ever in that area again, I’ll be back.

I’ll start with what they do right. Happy hour — cheap margaritas and cheap appetizers. Complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa is decent. The guacamole is good. Now with what they don’t do well. Their entrees are terribly over priced for Mexican food and the food is average at best. My advice: only go for happy hour.

Timbers supporters!!! A great place to catch the game. RCTID! The food is good. Better beer selection than the 4th Street Brewpub(ironically). A bit of a party atmosphere in the bar. Honestly a good fit for the location. All in all, a great replacement for the brewpub.

Hello mexican and goodbye 4th St. Brewing. Was never impressed by 4th St. food. They still have their tvs people so calm down on places to go for watching sports. They also do support the games so they will have specials for that. You can tell everyone is trying to learn the menu and working out the kinks. I give them that too. We were able to get a chile relleno even though it was not on the menu. They also said their food is not frozen but fresh and made to order so have patience while you wait for it. It did not seem to take that long. And lots of chips and salsa flowing as well. Salsa actually had a little heat which is a nice touch. Happy hour menu though the prices on the regular seem reasonable as it is. Portions are pretty decent. All in all, it’s another average american-mexican restaurant within proximity of a least 2 others. This one seems to be more of a party affair though, fiesta flavor. The food should go nicely with some Seahawks playing.
