Gresham History Museum

Was here for the art festival, so seemed natural to jump in for a bit and take a look. Among other things, they have a really nice setup detailing the history and influx of various ethnicities into Gresham. Most are informative… but one is funny.
«Early on, Gresham had few, if any, black residents. Long-​time Gresham residents do recall accounts of two black men, however, who lived in the town in the early 20^th century. They were called Charley Rivers and Mr. Wilson. Surviving accounts tell us very little about these two men, other that they lived in Gresham.»
Which sounds like a really good historical overview of non-​white people in the Portland area. «I think I saw some non-​white people once…»
