Superb customer service! Great deals! Nice selection!
I came here with my mom and sister to buy items for my wedding. We bought several clearance fabrics to make table cloths. We also bought lace trim for my dress.
First, the sales attendants and clerks were super helpful. They offered advice on several of the projects I was working. They knew their stuff. They were also friendly and polite. I felt like it was family atmosphere. I came two different days with different employees and found that they were both days I could say that same thing.
The prices in addition to the coupon (you can find on on their website or ask the clerk) were lower than anywhere else I could find.
I found almost everything I wanted. I was impressed with the quality and the variety.
I recommend this store not only for the saving and quality but also for the nice employees there.

I’ve been on a huge sewing and costuming binge lately and have visited this and the Metairie Hancock four times in two weeks. While the store is smaller than the Metairie location, the employees here are fantastic. At checkout, the clerk actually reminded me about a coupon and even caught a computer error once I used it (it was only taking 50 cents off my order instead of 20% — huge difference!). Other employees were also very helpful –they were a perfect balance of helpful but not too annoying — it’s like they knew when I was just browsing and immediately came over when they sensed that I needed assistance.
It’s really evident that these ladies genuinely care for their customers. While the store is a little cramped, they have a good stock of fabric and sewing notions and will not hesitate to help or even call the Metairie store if they don’t have something in stock.
Bonus tips:
— Their bathroom requires a key that you have to get from the cashier.
— Be sure to look at their website for sales and coupons — there is almost always at least a 40% off coupon.
— Their preferred customer card so far has yet to get me anything other than email ads.

The ladies at this Hancock fabric really know their stuff. They were even able to help us select the best elastic so that it wouldn’t bunch up in the skirt my daughter was making.
All of the fabric is very organized and they can direct you to almost anything you need.

Hancock Fabric has very very sad customer service. I usually come here with my husband to find some cute fabric to make our kids outfit. there are many varieties of fabric to choose which is I have no complain about, but here is the reason why I have to give this place only one star. while ago when I was pregnant with my 2^nd child. I went to Hancock to get some cute fabric as you know when you are in last semester of pregnancy you frequently using bathroom. I politely asked the first employee that I need the bathroom then she pointed to the second employee. I went to second employee and asked the same thing then she told me to ask the first employee. that day I ended up have to hold it until I finished shopping because I didn’t want to bother.
and TODAY I went shopping at this place again and my son needed a bathroom. I asked first employees if I can use a bathroom then she turned around asking other employee this is what I’ve been told «WE DON’T HAVE BATHROOM NOW»
I didn’t say anything after that and just left the cart filled with materials that I was about to buy from them and walk away. How come this business can’t provide their customer bathroom? Dose that make them lose the profits to provide their customer a bathroom? I don’t think so. Now, as far as I know they lost me as a customer FOREVER!

I’m giving them 1 star only because they do sell fabric. I made the mistake of asking for a certain type of fabric from the first employee I saw and was given a quick answer followed by «but I don’t think that’s gonna work». The employee quickly dismissed me by continuing to «work». I then walked aimlessly through the store till I found the only other employee in the store who didn’t want to listen to my question because she was quickly trying to dismiss me by pointing to different aisles telling me to look around and I may find what I’m looking for. After I told her I’ve looked she told me then they don’t have what I needed, even though I hadn’t even been able to GET MY QUESTION OUT, she then directs me back to the first employee, and yells to her that I need help and that employee says «I already told her we don’t have it». So this second employee informs me that if «that lady says we don’t have it then we don’t, cause she’s worked here longer and she’s the manager», THAT’S DISAPPOINTING! Their Customer Service SUCKS, at best! Don’t waste your time shopping at this store! Oh and the «impossible fabric» I was looking for? RED 100% Polyester and/​or 50%Polyester 50%Cotten & the same blends in WHITE! NOT DIFFICULT!
